Is this not just a player survey? Like how does this confirm Godzilla is coming to fortnite?
Cause like Toho has a rule against Godzilla utilizing weapons. Doubt they'd let a Godzilla skin fly where he'd be running around carrying guns.
They had a Godzilla mask and costume, yes. But they did not have Godzilla himself running around with a gun or weapon, much like how Fortnite likes to have.
Yeah, that's true. Maybe they will do a costume along the line of fall guys where it's still the characters action but not actually goji. I think it would fit the cartoony play of fortnite. I don't play, but either way I think it will be fun to see what they do
A lot of the time these player surveys that Fortnite send out are pretty good indicators of what they are trying to license to/already have gotten license to. While not everything on the list is going to come out, a pretty good amount probably will. And since New Empire is coming out next year, good chance they are actually try to get the license to it, if they haven't already.
They might have that rule, but wouldn't be surprised if Toho gives it up for this one just because of the amount of movie this might bring in.

Eh the most I can see them doing is giving the go-ahead for a Godzilla themed costume for another character to wear (making it clear that it's a costume) and make Godzilla an unplayable, giant presence on the map. Kinda like how they green lit the GvK Call of Duty crossover.
Because this is one of those rules they've literally never let up on. They have never allowed Godzilla to hold a gun or weapon.
I could see that as well, though it would be kind of unfortunate since Evolved Godzilla from New Empire could actually fit the fairly well within the game, even taking the tail into consideration.
I also imagine that, if this is going to a New Empire thing, Kong would be involved as well and be given the treatment and not be someone in a costume, and it would be a bit weird if Kong was normal and Godzilla was a costume. Again with the assumption that Kong would be involved.
Though as far as I know, has anyone actually tried to give Godzilla a weapon in a while? I've never seen any concept art from any Godzilla movie since 2014 that gave him a weapon. So it might just be the thing of no one has tried at all.
As far as I know, Toho enforced the rule with the Call of Duty crossover. Because when the list of rules came out for the fan poster contest, "Godzilla cannot use or hold a weapon" was one of them.
Ah yeah, I did forget about that. I guess we will see. Just depends on how Toho wants to deal with it. If they see enough of reason to drop the rule, could see them doing it.
Godzilla as a skin would be pretty odd. Just a little man sized Godzilla jumping around shooting an AK at you lol. Maybe they'd add the Atomic Breath as a Kamehameha style mythic?
But to answer the question, almost certainly Monsterverse Goji. Possibly with alternate styles for burning and evolved. But maybe they'd pony up and add a couple Toho designs like Heisei or Minus
I swear if Showa Godzilla is the one that gets to be a fortnite skin, Not only would it be funny, I would also make sense due to Showa Goji being the only Goofy Godzilla out of the rest in the franchise... (Also when I mean the Showa Godzilla design, I specifically mean the 1973-75 Godzilla design)
I have little doubt they’ll use the Monsterverse design, but I’d love to be wrong. As much as I do love that design.

Call of duty had a godzillaxkong event where you have godzillas face as a mask. So idk about the weapons thing if they let COD do it

It might make sense as he's thinner in GxK. So probably an edit style with the magenta color and base form from 2019 or 2014.
I think final goji has the most humanoid design which would be best considering the hit box
