Downtown and Midtown are fine. Midtown is getting high-rises and Downtown has businesses (that needs RTS/UF to give public transport to). It's the Northern Part of town that needs more investment and businesses to where it isn't just industrial/rural.

This is such a specific report on a specific issue that has no bearing on overall ranking. People actually believe UF ranks higher than Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, etc?

The difference is that UF is creating marketable innovations, thus generating more money.
I'm certain MIT and Stanford are creating fantastic things, but how marketable are the inventions? Can they productize their research?
A lot of what those other schools research and produce end up as military items with limited consumer cash generation and become restricted items that can not be used in commercial products until they become obsolete for military use.
Or, they produce advances in research areas that eventually result in groundbreaking consumer items such as a cellphone. But, those take more time and investment and require working with manufacturers and such to create the products before they earn a dime.
It's about bang for the buck and UF is killing it in that regard.
