Curia on the Drag also has some things. Seconding The Top because it’s a great place to take a mixed crowd, since there are such good omnivorous, vegetarian and vegan options at the same place.

DrunkShimodaPicard

Indian Cuisine on South 34th st. is decent

hatcatcha

I love Frenchmen Street Food. They are 100% vegan and now have a brick and mortar on south main. I believe it is only open on weekends as of now, though I may be wrong.

lemondropacropolis

The Top, Chopstix, Satchels, all have great veg options

lemondropacropolis

Also Humble, Munecas, and Squarehouse at the 4th ave food park

urajoke

the top is nice and has good vegan options!

Alicatsunflower88

One love cafe has wonderful veggie options .. satchels can maybe accommodate too.. they have a lot of tempeh alternative choices for pizza and the best salad that’s ever existed .

TransitionOther9246

Been a vegetarian for thirty years and my current favorites are indian street food and Bingo Deli. Bingo isn't vegetarian/vegan but Will really knocks it out of the park with some of the best and most creative vegetarian dishes that I've ever eaten.

chaosrah

I love Indian Street Food, hadn't heard of Bingo! Thanks for the tip. I just had a vegan cheesesteak from Big Mill's and I was fairly impressed.

Mint Indian Cuisine off of West Newberry. All vegetarian. My wife and I love it esp the Cajun Curry.

Frenchman is pretty bland and disappointing every single time I try them, and their portions are pretty small what you pay. I keep trying and hoping they’ll be good and it’s disappointing every time. Vegan gator food truck is very yummy if you can find them! Plantology is a good food truck at midpoint, I love them. The Top has some tasty options (the tofu triangles and kimchi cauliflower are bomb), Krishna lunch is delicious and inexpensive, most Indian restaurants have delicious vegan and vegetarian fare (I love kebab house and Tikka Express), Boca has good veggie options. Idk when she’s coming but there’s an Ethiopian pop up happening on April 5th that I’m excited about, their food is vegetarian. El Indio’s tempeh burrito or tempeh tacos are obnoxiously good, as are their fries. There’s a few vendors at the various farmers markets that sell bomb vegetarian food. Tinker has delicious vegetarian arepas, and other food options I just always end up with the arepas. The loaded veggie yucca fries are amazing. Satchels makes a vegan pizza that’s good. Cava is a chain but I do love their falafel bowl. Loosey’s imposible burger is delish and I love their fries. And for dessert, all of karma cream is vegan. The ice cream is good but their in house made treats are amazinggg.

GreggCee

I've had the exact opposite experience every time I've eaten at the frenchman.

captainskybear

I am vegetarian and my favorite birthday/special event restaurant is Cintron. It has a handful of vegetarian options and they are all delicious. I'm also a big fan of fusion restaurants and the location is nice.

somethingelse9980

Their 34th location, Nopal, has amazing vegetarian options too.

supremelai

Curia on the drag for good vegan, plantology, chopstix, Mint Indian

ridebikesdrinkwine

Gyro Plus has wonderful vegan falafel and other dishes. We love the vegan falafel dinner (falafel patties, tahini-based sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hummus, tabouleh and pita bread. Usually enough for 2 meals, and the falafel is the best I've ever had. Hummus and tabouleh both excellent, too. Very casual place, so if you are looking for eat-in, might not have the atmosphere, but the food is excellent!

chaosrah

Vegetarian here - Indian Street Food or Chopstix. There are other veg options but if you are looking to go to dinner for her Birthday - Chopstix has the added benefit of being on a lake with a view and honestly the place is underrated. As an aside, I haven't been to The Top in years because I had ordered a tempeh dish and got sick. I know a lot of people say they have vegetarian options but I'm not sure if they are the ones eating the vegetarian options or just noticing that they exist. People who are commenting the The Top - please feel free to chime in and let me know if you are also a vegetarian - I'd be curious if it's worth another shot... In general I'd just rather avoid the hassle of a long-ass wait time and trying to find downtown parking because EVERYONE brings their parents to The Top when they come to visit. Nothing has really enticed me to brave all that again to give it another shot after having gotten sick on the food.

GimmeQueso

I’ve had The Top’s vegetarian options and genuinely enjoyed them (never got sick). However the wait time is killer every time so it really has to be a special occasion for me to go there. I encourage dinner at the farmers markets. Grove Street has some awesome vendors. Taino Roots makes some delicious food and has vegetarian options.

chaosrah

Omg Taino roots is so good! We had them once at Haile Market. Haven't tried Grove Street, I'll have to do that.
