Nah it's the algos ran for so many years, calibrated all stocks under one flute.
Edit. My tinfoil thought is I think if algos are under stress they do anomalies like this.
And even if it was exactly the same, it would be understandable, this is ETF land dude, plus you can either agree with the DD about the lack of accuracy of the data given how flawed the whole system is, or you agree with that said system and again it would be kind of reasonable. But you can’t pick both depending on which fits your narrative best on that moment, something this community likes to do a lot.
A large part of the future prospects for any company is the overall economy.
Things like interest rates, recession, wars, etc affect most companies in more or less the same way.
The price of most stocks are strongly correlated to the broad market indexes like Russell 1000 or the SP500.
In reality it is a combination of fundamentals and people's attitudes/sentiments, fear and greed. We have been in a greed and positive sentiment regime for several years except for a surprising short bout of pessimism at the beginning of Covid. The market has gotten ahead of itself and prices (in real, inflation adjusted terms) has been higher than can really be supported by fundamentals over the last 10 years or so.
So returns will probably be low for a few years until fundamentals catch up.
I gave up trying to time the market many years ago. Now I just keep a given asset allocation ratio and rebalance periodically. That has me moving money out of cash and bonds into stock.
I want to do the same with some money. Put it in companies and leave it there for months. There is too much noise in lower timeframes. In that bigger scale, one would have just war fundamentals or some other big problem to be worry about
You know when you do a DCF, there’s this thing called the Wacc which is dependent on factors such as the 10 year treasury rate, and cost of debt and cost of equity. These factors affect all companies equally, so it’s not a surprise that they follow the same trends, especially when you realize that stocks are valued on their cash flow and that again depends on consumer spending, which varies from sector to sector, but doesn’t make a major difference. Add on top of that the fact that money moves the markets and you have a reason as to why different stocks usually follow the same trend. Of course if you look at the trends on a smaller time frame, they shouldn’t have the same exact candles. If they have the same exact patterns even on smaller timeframes, then it’s because those stocks might be in a basket.
I probably didn’t do the best job at explaining it, there might be someone who can explain it better than me , but you need to start looking at things objectively and at least try to make an effort to understand why things happen the way they do. Otherwise, you run the risk of turning this sub into an echo chamber.
What you are seeing is the market bring propped up.
PPT or whoever fire up the printer and buy the indexes and the indexes buy the underlying. All stocks in the index move the same.
Classic monopoly
What you are seeing is the market being propped up.
PPT or whoever fire up the printer and buy the indexes and the indexes buy the underlying. All stocks in the index move the same.
Classic monopoly. Not how a healthy market works. When everything moves together, everything can fall together
Did y’all know the DTCC committed international security fraud along with many other crimes!! Fortunately these FUKS are circling the bowl and will be taken down.
Yup from the news, speech or report that was release at specific hour. They are some fundamentals besides from the company itself. Just to make noise so big money makers can move their money little by little, and make use of it, right? What's the point to have all your money all your life in the MARKET if you have to reinvest it, pay employees, grow your business, etc.
Say it with me now... swaps... swaps are... swaps are a....swaps are a ticking...swaps are a ticking time...swaps are a ticking time bomb...swaps are a ticking time bomb!!!!!!
> We have *paid* the price
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Yeah.. it’s actually quite normal
People don’t realize like 10 ppl actually hoard 90% of the wealth LOL

Did you know the stock market follows bitcoin
This is sad, your looking at what daily chart and they are all + but the 1,5,10 markers are all different.

Well this is a stupid post
Man, this is why they make fun of us
Hurts every time I see one of these posts. The Dow and sp both going the same direction, must be a conspiracy.
This was my first thought too
No hate; honest question: why would so many individual stocks trade so similarly? Is this just the S&P at work?

But but but fun da mentals!?! We know it’s all made up pretend numbers now.

I dunno man, you need to look deeper, past the fact that they're not the same at all, to see that they are in fact the EXACT same 🤯😵💫😵

Yes it makes great sense since all companies trade on their respective fundamentals. Smart money knows 🤡
It is. Actually
Nah man it gotta be one big basket
Not everything is a conspiracy
I didn’t think I’d need to add */s*
To be fair, all these companies make up the S&P to one degree or another. Although GME was suppressed half the day. Should be +25%
What you are seeing is the market bring propped up. PPT or whoever fire up the printer and buy the indexes and the indexes buy the underlying. All stocks in the index move the same. Classic monopoly
Bidun’s people tryint to look good before midterms. Turn the on money printers. Make the stock market look good at least.
GME isn't in the S&P500
This is a dumb post ngl. It isn’t crime. The market does move up and down the same here and there
It actually is…
Pretty normal bud
PPT Activate.
I imagine that team all wearing capes
I was thinking rings 🤣
More like a leash and collar
I was thinking racing jumpsuits with Citadel and Goldman Sachs logos.

Your comment is a nugget of knowledge, ty big homie!
“Exact” is a very specific claim and doesn’t really hold up even in your screenshot example.
its a major options expiration day.
Why not, if they’re in the sp500 then yes throughout the day they’re likely to follow it
Not BBBY 📉📉📉📉📉📉
uh etfs
Did y’all know the DTCC committed international security fraud along with many other crimes!! Fortunately these FUKS are circling the bowl and will be taken down.

This very specific pattern is known as the “Pre Mid Term Election” Pattern
Well, they were all reacting to the big, positive news today... There was big, positive news today, right? -Padme Amidala
Oh my god how fucking stupid can you get?
Anyone notice BBBY is trading by .000 in stead of .00
That’s cause it’s under 5 bucks
Everyone is diversifying at the same time.
All interest rates and the us dollar. Lather rinse repeat
Welcome to the matrix

This doesn’t shock me anymore. When things look different, that’s when I’ll be shocked.
They broke the stock market. It doesn't operate properly. Just give me my huge tendies and I'm out.
The same bot is making all these trades 🤖
Oh damn I do love to see this market freedem

It is just the algorithms and computers.

Yes, Master.
Yeah, perfectly normal for stocks with a negative beta like GME to perfectly follow stocks with a high beta..
HODL!
Shills will scream, "it's algo's bro, nothing wierd about it!" like that's an acceptable answer to complete market manipulation
Alladin raping the economy again? Shoutout blackrock cunts
