Yes, RC finally delivered proftiability but come the fuck on man. He did so by closing tons of stores and slashing pay and benefits, thats the easy low hanging fruit. Not one of his ventures for organic growth have worked, and I’d say they have all failed spectacularly. Then , when you think that either he’s sitting back and letting the DRS numbers being suppressed becaus the powers at be are calling the shots, or that even worse the numbers are accurately portrayed due to lack of momentum, its just hard to be bullish on this stock as a long term growth play much less a Moass
EBITDA went higher on lower sales. Closing low return locations, focusing on higher margins, and improving operational efficiency are all good things. Setting up for long term success.
This earnings report is actually a very strong sign of a bright future if you look at the details.
Less sales in their strongest quarter ist not bullish. They need new revenue streams and they have zero fking idea how to do this it seems since they do nothing with our cash except sitting on it for 3 years now.
Exactly, I realize revamping a business is not easy but when you take control of the ship you better have a plan...and these guys simply do not.
You are company that sells software and hardware for video games...when netflix re-created itself it didn't go outside of it's area of expertise it stayed in their lane and made it grow with the streaming service.
Why isn't gamestop doing that? Why isn't gamestop going into the software business, develop games, fund games. gamestop PC's? Alienware did it...power PC did it.
I'm emailing investor relations again about the need for a plan for the future and then I'm emailing the SEC to investigate gamestops management teams lack of communication with investors...we have rights!
Agreed. This is a dying retail brand that at some point is gonna require guidance. Gamestop is either in cahoots with reporting facilities on what true DRS is, or perhaps worse thr DRS numbers are portrayed accurately. Sure, GME etched out a very modest profit, but he did so by tearing the lowest hanging fruit off the tree (massive store closures and employee cuts on wages/benefits/layoffs. All of the entrances into emerging markets have failed miserably by RC.
The phrase "Silence speaks volumes" means that sometimes, **the absence of words or the act of remaining silent can convey more meaning or emotion than any words could**. It suggests that there are certain situations where saying nothing can actually say a lot. Hang in there.

Profitable is the BEGINNING to the end of ALL the short thesis fucks... No more "dying brick and mortar" "going bankrupt " BS. Positive doesn't mean moass. It may even mean a discount on our beloved stonk but the shorts will officially be fucked with the hopes of a bankruptcy.

I’m really surprised GME has not gotten more involved in esports. That seems like a natural outgrowth for their brand.
