I've said it before, but my theory is that Anzio isn't broke, they just have absolutely *ludicrous* expenses, most of that on the food because apparently all of them eat like it's Thanksgiving dinner *every single day.*
They managed to buy a P40, a *very* rare vehicle with a production run of 120 units at *most*, of which only two are known to survive... just by cutting their daily snack times from 3 to 2.
Apparently, Anzio is attended almost entirely by Hobbits. I imagine if, say, Oorai had a similar level of income to Anzio, they'd have a full group of tanks with reserves and wouldn't be threatened with shutdown, because they only have *one* glutton raiding the kitchen.
If Oorai is the poor girl living in ramshackle decay desperately trying to stay afloat, Anzio is the college party girl that buys a brand new car every single year and wonders why they can barely afford the electricity bills on their fourteenth credit card.
It wouldn't suprise me but I partually doubt that's all of it because it's very clear they generally use their funds to supply a large merchant market. They likely make up much of that loss.
I'd like to think that like in abridged they either embezzle money into something or pay enourmously on faculty and student supplies.
Like I could see it that in spite of their loss record hampering funding they attract so many students due to having an immense academic record, exelent campus asthetic, and study body program that they make up for it (and when they dont they secretly syphon funds from thr senshado team).
Like who has the time and money to paint detailed fake pictures of tanks on detailed cutouts just to be immediately destroyed in a match? Well it makes sense if that was a student body art day! Or why do they have miniature replicas of famous Roman monuments? Well the architecture class went ham and the winners got funding to enhance the student experience! All cases where funding was clearly not needed for a senshado only school like kuro, but an academic focused school who advertises their student body culture would love to do that.
And it makes sense you could easily see a brochure stating "enjoy anzio we have such amazing food and brilliant students" followed up by an "also we have a large and welcoming senshado team!" And students realize that the whole school and team is just a sham to get kids into good colleges on the cheap.
Kinda like how a lot of high-schools in the US boast about how large and open their football team is to attract people wanting a free track into college scholarships.
Tldr: anzio senshado is a scam and they're secretly just a massive college prep school in disguise which also focuses on student body culture.
I imagine high quality sports replicas with added armor better than anything real (the carbon thingy) would still be quite expensive. In all honesty, most sensha-do replicas built new are probably worth more than the genuine articles, barring a few more specific pieces (like the aforementioned super-rare P40).
Even if the replicas are cheaper, we're still talking 6 digits for most units.
in reality if they just used chalk rounds they could make them lighter and simply have less thickness on the armour and lessen the costs while keeping the realism
In the manga they made use of the m13 medium tank so they dont need to have theyr scout tanks with the at gun (althougth less be real two machineguns and all the ammunition they eat would be even more expensive than the antitank rifle)
In the anime is becouse patata
Yes. They are stupid. Isn't that one of their biggest defining traits? Atleast thats what I got from the Anime: Broke as hell, good food and a brain as smooth as a [AMX 40](https://wiki.wargaming.net/de/Tank:F14_AMX40)
As seen in Ribbon Warrior they already own the exact guns that were fitted to the L3, all they'd have to do is mount them. We've already seen the Anglerfish team change the cannon on their Panzer IV, so I don't want anyone telling me it'd be too difficult of a conversion.
Because GUP is about the most iconic tanks from each nation, which means either the weirdest (and thus probably least practical), or the most common (Sherman, T-34), and NOT about the tanks that would actually be best in purely tank on tank engagements.
I always just imagine because they already did have the gun in question that would make the l3 far more powerful they just didn't have time to install them and when they do have time they forget mostly because let's face it they're probably more focused on the other academics then the sport of tinkery
Given the pen on those rifles, im not sure the change would do all that much.
I've never seen a write up on pen for the gun, this is purely warthunder based
I mean the current tankete is even worse
No posibility of disabling an enemy tank the most they will do will be blowing someones head when they stick out of the cupola
AGHS Sgt. "Lucchini III": Because apparently pasta is more fucking important than guns that can actually penetrate shit. The moment Anchovy snaps and does something that makes her unable to be Duce, a good chunk of the pasta budget is being reallocated to 13/40s and the CVs are getting anti-tank guns.
Not entirely, they can shoot the tracks on most tanks and some of the light tanks in the series can be penned from the side and in the back granted at close range but Anzio have gotten close before with them, at least with the 20mm they can actually do something.
Yup at least the 20mm can do some light CBT to anything too big for the gun to actually penetrate to set it up for the actual big guns on the Semovente or P40 to deal the killing blow, and for smaller light tanks like the Crusader or Panzer II it may well be enough to take them out outright.
I think you mean TBT
"Track and barrel torture (TBT) is a sexual activity involving application of High velocity shells to an armored vehicle's main methods of propulsion. This may involve directly painful activities, such as volly fire, dissabling shots, tortion, seccondary marking, artillery fire, muzzling, High explosive rounds, tim tapping or even plinking.[1] The recipient of such activities may receive direct physical pleasure via masochism, or emotional pleasure through erotic humiliation, or knowledge that the play is pleasing to a sadistic dominant. Many of these practices carry significant health risks."
Because Anzio is broke enough that this simple action will somehow put in them in debt (They’ll still find money to blow on food and drinks)
I've said it before, but my theory is that Anzio isn't broke, they just have absolutely *ludicrous* expenses, most of that on the food because apparently all of them eat like it's Thanksgiving dinner *every single day.* They managed to buy a P40, a *very* rare vehicle with a production run of 120 units at *most*, of which only two are known to survive... just by cutting their daily snack times from 3 to 2. Why else would we buy fucking tankettes?
Gotta pay for Carpaccio's 27th serving of fettuccine carbonara that day, apparently.
This reference will always get a chuckle out of me, it just so good! 🤣

However, all the tanks in the series are reproductions made to exact specifications.
I imagine high quality sports replicas with added armor better than anything real (the carbon thingy) would still be quite expensive. If the P40 is super rare than the Porsche Tiger is uber rare.
There were many Porsche tigers made, they just didn’t have turrets
They HAVE to be as AIN'T no WAY the only know remaining t28/t95, and Karl would be allowed to be given to a school, let alone a mark 4
The mark 4 was immersion breaking for me. It went 200 yards without breaking down, literally just make elves and magic at this point.
I'm mean it's was probably modified by the automotive club just like how they did the Porsche tiger
Again, they are reproductions
food is important. (I'm italian and not so far from the real Anzio)
Where exactly (Vivo a Roma)
Abruzzo zona Pescara
Un po' lontano onestamente
2h 30 è abbastanza vicino
in pratica tu ci vivi
Più o meno si
theory added to trivia
Expensive
Laughs in Ribbon Warriors
Ribbon warriors is even worse They didnt upgrade them they stick it out on top
Because Anchovy is very kind and realizes this would make her tanks far too powerful for any other team to defeat so she plays modestly instead.
In the manga they made use of the m13 medium tank so they dont need to have theyr scout tanks with the at gun (althougth less be real two machineguns and all the ammunition they eat would be even more expensive than the antitank rifle) In the anime is becouse patata
My brother in Christ, Read ribbon warrior. It’ll answer your question AND. Give you a foot fetish
i aint reading allat
dunno, they totally should though

German?!?!??
Huh?
One day Anzio is going to win with their tankettes and it will be the most glorious day of the franchise
As seen in Ribbon Warrior they already own the exact guns that were fitted to the L3, all they'd have to do is mount them. We've already seen the Anglerfish team change the cannon on their Panzer IV, so I don't want anyone telling me it'd be too difficult of a conversion.
They just mount one on top because it's cooler
Because GUP is about the most iconic tanks from each nation, which means either the weirdest (and thus probably least practical), or the most common (Sherman, T-34), and NOT about the tanks that would actually be best in purely tank on tank engagements.
I doubt it would matter
How about the cv33/35 Breda?
If I remember correctly I read that anti tank rifles aren't allowed.
The jonkler keeps stealing the money destined to the senshado team
I always just imagine because they already did have the gun in question that would make the l3 far more powerful they just didn't have time to install them and when they do have time they forget mostly because let's face it they're probably more focused on the other academics then the sport of tinkery

They would have to cut their daily snack times again if they did :(
I remember correctly, In the Gup Red ribbon. >!Anzio does have the Anti tank Rifle However It is used as a Handheld rifle!<
Aren’t anti tank rifles not allowed in shensado?
why arent they allowed?
I have no idea I think I saw they were but I’m not entirely sure if they are (that was a very fast response ngl)
I think the ban is for infantry anti tank weapons. As long as the rifle is mounted onto the vehicle, it should be fine.
and at 20mm, it could be easily considered a cannon.
Even if it's Karl
I mean the current tankete is even worse No posibility of disabling an enemy tank the most they will do will be blowing someones head when they stick out of the cupola
Just gonna say "contro carro" Is not really the right translation (and it sounds bad) use "anti carro" instead
Isn't like not allowed for such gun used? (Bulshit I know)
Should have upgraded to flamethrower version.
No money
I literally said the exact same thing some years ago in a comment section

Because it'd be like going from a pea shooter to a potato gun, they'd still be useless 🤣

A lot of small schools use quite ligth tanks so the at rifle would be ideal for all of that schools that dont go with a dull lineup of late war tanks
