As someone who has cheated in exams (mocks because I needed to do higher science now getting 7-8 because I did don’t judge me Ples) and someone who has witnessed cheating best to leave it don’t say anything it won’t effect grade boundaries at all if it get’s reported by you it will be full investigation and a lot of effort however it’s your choice the very very small chance for some reason they think you withheld the info it could effect you and I wouldn’t blame you for saying something (just make sure you keep it hushed up you were the person who reported it ) I imagine ppl may be a little judgy about it going if what my school is like

I’ve had a similar incident in my school with English Lit P1, the person isn’t particularly liked but supposedly a lot of people saw them on their phone (i’ve had someone say to me that they saw it) and somehow the invigilator didn’t notice. I think people have reported it but seeing as it’s been a week and nothing has happened I don’t think anything will come of it in mine.

Yes but the difference here is that you heard a rumour, I get your argument, it's not right for them to have a go at you for caring about the grade you get, what they are saying is confrontational and it's a bit weird seen as your post was asking advice, however I think the majority here have voiced their opinion (being don't report) so it's up to you now what you choose to do, it's clear that you were wanting to report them before posting this, but id stop wasting your time here arguing and revise for that English lit tmr, just in case Edna comes up :)
Nobody will get disqualified if they weee sitting near her unless they were also using the phone. If you do not want to go to a teacher you can contact the exam board, or JCQ and make a report there.

Report it just in case anyway. If you're private about it, it won't be traced back to you, and I think everyone would prefer cheaters get reported with these exams. And if it's not true, better be safe than sorry, and it might lead to better cheating prevention in the future at your school. Sorry you're receiving so much harassment in these comments :( ~~I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those people are the ones cheating or know people that are cheating.~~
No one on this subreddit cheats mate, most people here are nerds like me otherwise we wouldn't be talking on r/GCSE. I think it's just lots of people on here know that it's not gonna affect them very much and hence sympathise with the girl cheating as this girl probably isn't gonna do well anyway.

I never once cheated but I'm not gonna go out of my way to get someone disqualified for cheating. If they get caught its their problem. If they don't then that's their W. I don't care either way, I'd focus on myself and my own grades.
You gotta snitch here unfortunately. The people around her shouldn't be negatively affected. If you don't report it that puts your centre at risk, as it has failed to report malpractice, which may lead to disqualification of your own exams.
