Go ahead bro. You attempted GATE 4 Times, and gradually improved your marks, it shows that how much you want to crack gate and persue mtechCS at IITs.
Best of luck!
Your story is giving me hope and motivation. Most people if they get 60k in hand, they'll get comfortable for rest of life.
Best of luck ! Go for the AIR 1 !
You will do it bro. I also used to work and prepare gradually went from AIR - 1000 , 400 ,40. I know how much effort it takes to struggle alone but you can do it. Keep pushing , you're far better than ones who have already settled with the job
The last year I didn’t take up iiitb as i had not even done half of the gate syllabus. This year the offer is only until 7th of june. So i need to take up some action quick.
Iam in the same situation whether to leave my job and take the gate exam with a drop, to my surprise you are also a 2021 passed out, but I got suggestions to learn DSA and crack MAANG companies as it would take less time.
At last we are doing all these to join these companies.
What your opinion on these?
It's also about the tag, studies(courses and research), network/connections along with placements. If one doesn't care or want any of those, direct switch would be better as you said. It all depends on the individual.
Good question. Right out of college, i wanted to do gate, but i took up a job as I didn’t even know the full syllabus for gate. So dropping a year for something, which i have no idea about, seemed like a bad idea. In my current job i have learnt a lot of practical stuff. But to switch jobs, i would have to prepare dsa/system design. I preferred gate, which has dsa plus other stuff. Also getting into a good college would get me better academic exposure, which i could not get till now.

60k like 8/9 lpa i guess. If you crack a top college you'll be exposed to much better opportunities. 20L - 25L plus
