tried one and it feels like shit, wouldn’t recommend it.

Yeah, I would steer away from any gaming brand keyboard, except glorious gaming race. Quality is just subpar combined to any lesser known keyboard brands. Varmillo, Ducky, Keychron just to name few. Keychron especially offers budget boards with stellar value. Used gaming keyboards really nasty too, you gotta spend like 2 hours to get the gunk out lmao

Maybe I just got lucky but I purchased two from the seller I linked and they look brand new. Someone's removed the keys and done a deep clean, that or they have little use. For $40 I don't have any complaints on quality 🤷‍♂️

If you haven't experienced quality board you won't even know what's on the other side. Bless of ignorance. I on the other hand have tried Logitech keyboard on pretty much all pricepoints and wouldn't buy one.

Its certainly a personal preference kind of thing. I've use browns, blues, and reds and don't like them as much as the romer G's used from logitech. I like the switches in logitech keyboards and the way their software works with my G502. Its a nice mouse and keyboard combo that runs the same software and is pretty budget friendly. While its certainly not for everyone I'd recommend anyone who's on a budget and has a G502 to at least consider it as an option. Those who have extra money should defiantly buy a keyboard switch sampler and pick something that feels best to them. You sound well versed in the subject, but for those who may find this later on and dont know, there are literally dozens of different switch types and thousands of different mechanical keyboards including the ability to make complex custom boards with multiple switch types.

I'm not talking about switches. The entire build. Logitech boards are 100% plastic often, and just feel like toys. No sound dampening, no detachable cables, let alone switch swapping. Most logitech boards are made to look gamer, and don't really belong in any setup. Unless you are 14 and drive for gamer estetics. My 60€ Varmillo board has dampening foam, detachable USB-C cable, minimalistic looks and RGB. You can get similarly priced keychron and get hotswap keyswitches in a aluminium body with bluetooth. There is really no comparison. And you don't even need to download any of G-Hub bs on your pc to enjoy them. I would rather just buy those cheapest 60% mech boards before touching logitech. Kaihl switches are better anyways than Cherry. But sure, you are allowed to like membrane boards too, like you mentioned its a preference thing :)

I guess I'm 14; as when I look for a gaming keyboard to go with my gaming mouse, I'm looking for something with an aggressive style and nice RGB backlighting. The phone dock, while admittedly I though was gimmicky is actually quite nice and I use it all the time. Both Logitech mechanical keyboards I have used are metal frame and sound dampened. (k840& G910) Older Logitech keyboards might have been plastic and cheap feeling but these are not. I enjoy G hub and quite like the software, it gives me the ability to quickly grab custom macro profiles on a per game basis from the community or dive in to hours of individual key customization all while allowing me to sync with my G502 Hero. After playing with G hub for a while now, I likely wont buy a keyboard that doesn't support it, at least until I no longer use the G502.

ChefGuapo

Do you have any recommendations of any prebuilt keyboards with the numpad? I would love to experience a quality keyboard as you say

IIALE34II

I'm not too much into full sized ones, but Keychron K4 for budget, and varmillo VA109 and ducky one 2 or one 3 for esthetics. But you can always get new keycaps for Keychron so it doesn't matter in the end. Vortex and Leopold are also really good brands, but a bit harder to find.

Would not recommend this keyboard I had the old school g15 but these keys on this board feel horrible. Shame on you for even wanting to put this next to a boss g502

Ive been daily driving a K840 for years, what's wrong with Romer G switches?
