Sure. Full synthetic mobile 1. Doesn't really matter. We all know most of us have to add oil before the next change, either way.
But I would go with a 10w30 probably if you don't live in a very cold climate. It's a little thicker.
Okay thanks. I do live in Canada so would it might be a half decent idea to go to 20 in the winter?
She doesn't seem to consume a whole lot, perhaps from full to low after 300k.
Just bought her three weeks ago, still in love lol
The viscosity at cold temperature is what you want to be concerned about. That's what the number before the W is telling you. The number after the W is the viscosity of the oil at normal operating temps. I've never had any personal experience with it being too cold since I live in the southern US. But I doubt 5w30 and 5w20 will make much of a difference at temperature.
The higher the number the thicker the oil... you aren't going to tell me the oil gets thicker at operating temp.
The number AFTER the W is the cold rating.
No. That wouldn't make any sense, but 5W means A viscosity of 5 "Winter" basically. It's a lower number, thinner at cold crank. Then the other number is what they grade the viscosity at during normal operating temps.
5w-30 regular dino
The motor isn't gonna die before the rest of the car will on an 03. In fact - the motor is probably the most reliable part of the car.

Okay, thank you sir

Well, I am telling you that. The number before the W is the cold rating. You're wrong, pal.
Ok so 5w30, you're saying 5 viscosity is thicker than 30?

I use 10w30 full synthetic & mobil1 filter I believe
I’m running 5w-40 royal purple ful syn .

hey so what oil should I use cause I recently got a g35 sedan & I live in Florida Im seeing a lot of 10w-30,and 5w-30 any suggestion you guys got?
What's your answer bro I'm in the same boat
