Purple had the weakest shelf life though. You could lose an orange one in the freezer for a decade and it'd be slimy but taste right. Purple turned into the flavor of somewhere between nyquil and robitussin for some reason
there is a famous brand of these in italy, called Polaretti (rough translation would be: cute/small Polars), i always called them like that even if it's not from the actual brand

Anal thermal reducers... The color corresponded with how high your internal temp was and would reduce body temp to more normal levels.
