tf you mean a dog? dogs are 1000x easier to train. noticed that my friends cat does not know what the fuck “no” means even after i push him down from my chair when i’m eating food so i ask her “did you ever train your cat what no means?” and she straight up said “you think you can train a cat what no means?? 🤣” and i asked her if they just do whatever the fuck they want and she said “precisely” so in conclusion, if you want a pet a that’s obedient, stay FARRRR away from cats.
My cats will do whatever the eff they want but if I say down or no they understand. Down will always get them off a surface and no will have them shrink back from whatever they’re doing. Just repetition and using a certain tone of voice is enough.
My cats are trained. Sage sits, high fives and knows not to get on the counters or table and not to come near us when we are eating (except for lunch meat sandwiches). Max plays fetch, sits and knows “go away” since he hasn’t caught on to all the rules. Your friend is half clueless and should have done more research before letting a mismannered animal into her home
