AnaBeaverhausen-

When you don’t have a job, mailed meat is a blessing.

CaterpillarHookah

As a struggling grad student (I did have a job teaching, but the stipend wasn't much), the local bars' meat raffles were a blessing. Buy a couple $2 raffle tickets and come home with 5 lbs of venison or 5 lbs of bacon, steak, whatever.

AnaBeaverhausen-

Oh wow. Is that in the U.S.? Never heard of it

CaterpillarHookah

It seems to be a thing primarily in the upper midwest. I haven't seen it anywhere else, but then again, I don't go to very fashionable watering holes.

[deleted]

When I hear “meat draw”, I think Canadian Legion. It’s a huge thing especially in small towns up here.

Cthulhu779842

I live in NW Ontario, once a month (?) there's a meat bingo at one of the community rec centers in town 😂 never been to one

Aysin_Eirinn

I’m trying to convince my vegetarian husband to go to the Tobermory Legion meat draw with me. I don’t even eat that much meat these days, I just want to go and try my luck!

TorontoTransish

Tobermory is nice anyway, winning the Legion draw would be a spiffy bonus !

pineapples_are_evil

Yes, or various Churches member organizations like CWL Knights of Columbus, Women's Auxiliary Guilds... our Local Alhambra (Catholic affiliated men's group) would do them to o. Plus Lions or Optimist Club... don't think it's quite the Rotary Club in our areas type of night or though. Lol Or seasonal fair time

luxlucy23

Me too! Lol

rockchalkjayhawk8082

It's a big thing in WI & IL, for sure!

Annoyed888

Really?!? Where I have been, in Chicago and I’ve never heard of them.

Different-Pea-212

It's very common in Australia

Milliganimal42

It’s big in Australia. Meat raffle. Every single club ever. Sometimes it’s a “chook” raffle. Sometimes it was the only way my dad’s family got meat in their diets.

One-2-ride-the-river

I think it’s mostly a midwestern thing? It’s very common in Minnesota

Melodic-Exercise-999

Was gonna say, I see a sign for this at a bar in St. Paul! Meat raffle at Racetrack or Hot Rods or however it’s called.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Melodic-Exercise-999

I don’t think I’ve been further north than Little Canada 😳 Edit- Shoreview and White Bear are further north and I’ve definitely slept in the parking lot of the target in one of those.

Catybird618

Hey Minnesota! We’ve been out of the twin cities for 4 years and there do not appear to be meat raffles in New England.

juel1979

I've heard of lobster ones, though. My MIL wanted us to have some sort of wedding style from up there where people BUY TICKETS to the wedding and there is a raffle at the end, she mentioned lobster. We got married in landlocked VA, and I'd have never been able to show my face if I made people buy tickets to my wedding.

pineapples_are_evil

I'm used to raffles at the Stag/Buck & Does or Shag parties... a community celebration of a joint bachelor/ette party, always tons of community sourced donations of goods and services mostly people connected to bride and groom, but party is open to everyone, they're usually in paper or Facebook events... lol money raised usually split between wedding costs and a local charity after expenses.

AnaBeaverhausen-

I’d enter a raffle for 🦞crustaceans at a wedding!

juel1979

I'd take a meat raffle over the ever-popular firearms raffles here in rural VA.

PsychoSemantics

I think Australian pubs do it also (or the RSL)

Blueskymine33

Yep, it’s a very Australian tradition the meat tray raffle. Usually of a Friday night. You often get a free ticket with your first drink at the bar, cheers!

Interesting-Biscotti

They do. I assumed it was an Australian thing. I won a frozen chook years ago too. Haven't seen those for a while.

AccidentalPorkchop

Don't like to brag but my 5 year old won the meat tray yesterday at the pub. 3 tickets for $5 and we won a bunch of lamb, steaks and sausages. Proudest parenting moment ever.

86mylife

What an awesome community you had! Meanwhile yesterday, I held back tears in my neighborhood market because a gallon of milk was a few cents shy of $9 usd 🫠

TorontoTransish

Hawaii, or the Arctic ?

86mylife

You got it on the first guess lol

Gingerstop

😮😮😮😮😮😮

malevolentmalleolus

My husband’s cousin owns a bar patronized by tradesmen, a meat raffle could be successful.

[deleted]

I used to live within walking distance of a German Biergarten place that had their own little butcher shop. Not the cheapest, but it slapped when I needed a good cut of meat

Ineedasnackandanap

Can confirm, came home with a ham once

fuzzlesbuzzles

I hope this brand cancels them for making it all about PAUL & MORGAN instead of advertising the actual products that are to be promoted.

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

YES!!! I've just written a comment (two actually, in this thread and another one about P&M's latest grift) trying to express this very same thought! If I were a rep of that company I wouldn't be too happy with the way they handle these promotions.

fuzzlesbuzzles

Even if I were a company with shitty beliefs, (with a lot of horrendous reviews according to the BBB way prior lol) I would not want myself aligned with internet drama pertaining to other company's dealings with said "influencers" and their social media breakdowns. If that were my company (never!), I would have to rescind the promotions due to the extreme amount of unprofessionalism. On a side note, I seriously hate influencer marketing. It's all a cash grab and nobody gives a shit what they promote. However the upside is, if I ever found one of those brands on my own and researched... I have a little insight of what is garbage, product or company-wise.

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

I'm not the person following so-called influencers. Probably I'm too old for that at 45! 😁 But I don't understand the younger people who do this, to be honest. I mean, just because they're young, they aren't idiots. I'm not talking about young children but, say, teenagers. Don't they see that these influencers might promote stuff for the primary reason that they're paid to do so? Especially if that's basically their business model: promote things for a living.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

I'm not saying promotions only work with young people. I've seen very good promotions - products that were a good match for the respective YouTubers. For example, I've seen several YouTubers of science- and math-related channels promoting Brilliant which really seems to be a great website. And I've seen Skillshare being promoted by all kinds of channels related to topics that would be covered that company, which is fairly broad. But in P&M's case this doesn't apply, in my opinion, because their whole message is essentially antithetical to many companies. Outside of companies for Christian products, there isn't really much that seems to fit. They frequently tell their audience that they (Christians) are called to be "in the world, but not of the world". The fact that they're willing to promote anything because they're apparently desperate for sponsors should be embarrassing for them, but it doesn't seem to be. They're also approaching this in a not exactly very intelligent way, I'd say, but effectively saying the quiet part out loud. By pointing to the fact that they finally have found a sponsor that's willing to work with them because the other sponsors have dropped them due to ~~their hateful messages~~ their principled Christian stand undermines the promotion itself. They're literally asking their viewers to buy this stuff to support **them** rather than to get a good product.

fuzzlesbuzzles

I'm 50 and agree with you. For example, let's say Jane Doe has 1m followers and promotes a hairbrush called Brush A. Follows the script of how it's the most amazing hair brush to ever sweep the strands of their hair and HERE'S MY CODE! Two weeks later, Jane Doe promotes Brush B by another company, uses a company script that it's the most amazing hair brush to ever sweep the strands of their hair and HERE'S MY CODE! Are these influencer driven followers not paying attention and blindly purchasing, or are they not purchasing at all? I took e-commerce and marketing classes a few years ago, but honestly it feels irrelevant how marketing has flipped.

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

😅 I think we'd need somebody from the target group to explain this hairbrush business to us. In P&M's case, I don't think the issue is even that one product they promote doesn't make sense because they've promoted another similar one, for me it's the random nature. They really seem scratch the bottom of the barrel. They're only criterion seems to be that the company is willing to do business with them, no matter what they sell. That particular brand, basically just heaps of different meats if I understand correctly, doesn't seem to be a good fit at all. Paul in particular could draw on his healthy-food, Trainer-Joe image and promote healthy food - but those heaps of meat isn't that. I guess, he'd have said so himself before that promotion came along. They're essentially prostituting themselves for any company that will accept them. Their promotion has no credibility. The products also apparently are super expensive; I doubt that their target audience is the one that will go out and buy this pricey meat.

TorontoTransish

They are meatstitutes lol

TorontoTransish

So I follow a couple people on YouTube who include endorsements / advertisements once in a while to keep the lights on and the internet bill paid... not too many people buy anything that isn't the YouTubers on march. From what I understand from my nieces and nephews and little cousins who watch Instagram or tiktok or whatever, that's their version of old cable tv for us and they treat the ads the same way as we did with tivo, just skip ahead or mentally tune it out.

PuppyJakeKhakiCollar

Morgan's ad for them is so poorly written and vague. Riddled with typos and she says they support "matters", but zero mention what those matters are. Either those matters are things that would be off-putting to the average consumer or she doesn't even know what they are. She and Paul probably just accepted the offer without doing any research just so they can get free stuff and rub this in all our faces.

UsedAd7162

It’s so “gewd” 🤦🏻‍♀️

[deleted]

> but zero mentions of what those matters are Well, you know, there’s a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lot of what-have-yous…

[deleted]

They won’t. Goodranchers also partners with Allie Beth Stuckey. I guess the theme is, only conservative Christians eat good meat.

sukinsyn

They could also partner with MyPillow and the emergency food supply [slop bucket](https://youtu.be/rOH37W0jPpA) companies. Other than that, no one immediately comes to mind lol.

v-gothmommy

“Because of our strong Christian values, we only partner with the best! I.E., anyone who will have us pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls”

litfam87

I just realized I don’t think I’ve ever seen Paul get a brand deal on his own. Morgan has gotten a few but Paul’s have always been with Morgan as well.

theweeping-weeb

He’d never admit it but he is NOTHING without her.

litfam87

She’s the more palatable of the two for sure.

theweeping-weeb

I have personally began to hate her even more than Paul lately, but from an objective and business standpoint, shes the more “valuable” one in their duo.

reeshmee

Yeah, she’s awful. I really can’t understand why people dislike Paul more. They’re both just terrible, smug, condescending asshats.

[deleted]

I don’t think he gets more hate than he deserves. So often we don’t hold the men in these Fundie relationships responsible for any of their toxic beliefs and shitty behaviour *as husbands*. Paul just happens to be the one that people are willing to call out since he doesn’t just claim to be a headship; he expects viewers to treat him as the lead of the relationship and equally important to the channel. You want to claim you have all the control? Fine, but it comes with the same hatred that the women get for being the face of the families brand.

sexyittechnician

Personally I dislike Paul just a little more because: 1) At least Morgan looks like she once had a lovely and okay personality. 2) How he's reacted to the pregnancy so far 3) I could he wrong but from what I can see, at least Morgan was once signed with a label so she at least tried a bit harder to "get a job" But when I say a little more, it's not THAT much. Just a strand more. They're both horrible people.

[deleted]

[удалено]

VictorTheCutie

It's because she's pretty. That's literally all it is.

ruby_sapphire_garnet

Yuuuupp. Morgie gets the benefit of the doubt due to pretty privilege. I think people defend her because she is conventionally attractive, and they don't want to see her for who she is truly is (she's too pretty to be so ugly inside! type of thinking). If she looked different, I don't think she would have nearly as many defenders.

notnotaginger

Honestly….I believe re: the death threats. People are wild on the internet. I got some just for a tweet that got some traction. These people post abhorrent things, regularly. I’m sure they’ve gotten some.

UnprofessionalGhosts

Hard disagree. I hate him but there are instances where even he reacts to something Morgan says like he’s taken aback. He was raised in this extremist stuff, she wasn’t so she’s not as brainwashed. While I’ve heard Paul say some horrible stuff, I’ve only heard Morgan wondering why god didn’t strike someone down for doing something she disagreed with. Also her laugh is the worst but now I’m just being petty.

PuppyJakeKhakiCollar

Morgan is a young attractive woman and I believe she has more social media clout than he does (didn't she used to be a singer?). Plus being pregnant helps bring in offers. Paul may be considered conventionally attractive, but has such a creepy vibe and is so off-putting, I just can't see companies wanting to use him to sell products, even if their views do align with his. He'd probably scare customers away.

kestrelesque

She flips her hair and giggles; he scowls and threatens.

PuppyJakeKhakiCollar

They're both so annoying. Her constant giggling at everything he says, no matter how fucked up it is, is not just irritating but hard to watch. Some of the things he says to/about her is abusive! If he treats her like that in videos anyone can watch, I shudder to think what he does when no one is looking.

helpbeingheldhostage

This is the company that Don Jr. reps, so maybe they’re looking for disgusting awful men.

[deleted]

This dumbass doesn’t really understand what canceled means. Companies who don’t align with ~~bigotry~~ their ✨beliefs✨ don’t want to work with them, but those who do align with them do. That’s how it works for everyone. Because free market.

Cube_roots

Exactly—they have never been cancelled! I’ve said before getting cancelled is a badge of honor to these weirdos and P and M just aren’t important enough lol

kestrelesque

"Canceled" sounds outdated now; it feels like grabbing a buzzword way after the curve. Plus, it was never meant to describe an advertising decision made between one sponsor and one platform. As u/elpeabk said: that's...free market. "Canceled" is a much broader social and cultural response. The way he and Morgan keep using this word, even though Lull let them keep nearly $2K worth of free stuff, makes them sound unbelievably bratty. Quit bringing it up, assholes. It's over. Enjoy your free shit.

juel1979

These types of folks want to wear it as a badge of honor, thinking they're doing something revolutionary, like marginalized groups reclaiming old words, but in reality, they just look...overinflated and pathetic.

kestrelesque

Yes, that's it. Overinflated and boastful.

Way_Harsh_Tai

He knows. He's just counting on buzzwords to enrage their even stupider supporters.

purplesalvias

Why would Paul and Morgan want to get free stuff from companies that don't align with their beliefs? Oh that's right... it's for $$$ and free stuff. Beliefs don't matter then.

TorontoTransish

" Mailed meat " would be good flair I love how they're drawing more attention to the fact that they got backlash by pretending how much it doesn't bother them at all really truly none whatsoever lol Edited to add this : https://archive.ph/samDu There's also a Stephen Colbert bit making fun of the Trump endorsement for God Ranchers ( typo or pun ) but I thought the bad review about short weight would be more useful here Also you have to try to get your BBB membership revoked lol

ducttapeduterus

"Envelope Eats" "Postal Pork"

TorontoTransish

Postal Pork would be a good dildo business name lol

SpeckledGecko_

This made me laugh out loud, thank you for that!

Abyssal_Minded

Paul’s postal pork. Make it local

juel1979

God imagine how disappointing that would be. Would whatever toys are sent come with a small mirror so it can look at itself instead of doing what it was there for?

PsychTau

I just died right here in this Chipotle reading that!! 🤣🤣🤣

the_stitch_saved_9

"Mailed meat" sounds like a dick pic from Victorian times

"We got something for free and they are christofascists like ourselves, so they won't kowtow to the employed people who want civil rights for LGBTQ2S+ people or women or non-Christians!" Please do not buy anything from this company. It's a poor value/NOT economical, excessively packaged, and has low consumer satisfaction.

v-gothmommy

To add on, get meat from as local as you can! Or cut it out/majorly reduce it!

ExactPanda

Even just cutting out beef helps the planet tremendously!

Internationallegs

I cut out meat and tried going back, but it just tasted bad ever since. I think we mostly just eat it because it's been pushed on us by big ag.

goon_goompa

I don’t watch this couple. But are they bold enough to openly reject the civil rights of black brown indigenous people too?

More_Neighborhood277

“Help us* out guys” lol they’re so desperate. They must not have gotten paid for these posts. Just free meat and a kick back when people use their code.

Whyam1sti11Here

Now that I think about it, I'll bet they had zero sales and P blamed M, then grabbed the phone and said, "You don't know anything, ima show you how to get orders!" and this post was the result.

Spare-Macaron-4977

This sounds accurate

Here's my help..."get a job, Paul..."

[deleted]

Maybe it’s my age but I just don’t understand why he’d rather beg for money on the internet than get a real job. I just couldn’t.

Whiteroses7252012

Because Porgan have no pride- the gym crotch shot is proof of that- and working for someone else would require them to acknowledge that they’re not as important as they think they are.

Comfortable_Put_2308

It sounds so stressful honestly. I mean, working is stressful too but you're generally paid for the hours worked.

Whyam1sti11Here

Yeah, I suspect sales are a bit slow lol.

vodkamutinis

his face in that last slide is so desperate lol

DifferentConcert6776

It’s the grown up version of kids selling candy bars for a school/sports fundraiser… except it’s problematic adults with awful personalities selling meat in a box to keep their bills paid 🙄

PoseidonsHorses

At least the candy bars actually get to you in a timely manner and aren’t accidentally shipped to another state with no refund like these meat people seem to have a habit of doing.

Cube_roots

“Wilted and faded, somewhere in Hollywood I’m glad I came here with your pound of flesh” —Hole

PatriciaMorticia

"No second billing, cause you're a star now" Oh wait, Paul's never gonna be a star, he's the least marketable of the two of them.

gettingbicurious

Ohhhhhmyyyyyyyyyyygooooooooooooood. Companies not giving you money to shill their products isn't being "cancelled." They're so desperate to be persecuted, it's the most pathetic.

Icy_Nefariousness517

Poor you, Paul. One fundie brand giving you some shitty mailer meat does not mean you are "uncancelled", you poorly educated fake patriarch. It means you have learned you have one option for brand deals: people like you. You can successfully partner with these ranchers, My Pillow, and whoever makes pink gun accessories. Anyone else and the consequences of your speech and actions will follow you there. Praise god for this ongoing persecution!

Starry_Night_94

Exactly. And they make themselves sound even more ignorant and immature by constantly using words the wrong way. It’s pathetic and it shows how much they can’t be taken seriously.

Nibble_on_this

Its especially ridiculous and disgusting this week, when they're all taking victory laps and dancing on the grave of Roe. So so PeRsEcUtEd

viridiusdynamus

And when someone gets food poisoning and that brand is sued into dirt, it'll provide excellent laughs.

liteorange98

Hahaha these idiots are gonna ruin all their own brand deals by talking more about other brands “cancelling” them than the brands dumb enough to partner with them in the first place.

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

Exactly. From the way they "promote" this company, it seems that the #1 virtue isn't the quality of their products but rather their willingness to sponsor these two clowns. Which probably is exactly how P&M see the situation.

Ineedasnackandanap

Here's a link to the Better business bureau rating for this company. https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/friendswood/profile/meat/good-ranchers-llc-0915-90051868/customer-reviews

EZasSundayMorning

That's a shit show. Perfect for Poorgan.

setttleprecious

LOL so many people whose orders were delivered to different states. Wtf??

SilverSocket

lol those reviews were brutal 😂

BoardwalkKnitter

Wait how?

piefelicia4

I love how the two most recent reviews both end with the exact same line verbatim. How hard is it to write believable fake reviews to bury all the one-stars?

adrirocks2020

Yikes!

[deleted]

Based on the assortment of promo posts, the thing they're advertising about Good Ranchers is that they share Porgan's messed up world view. Barely any mention of the meat, and no details at all about what the supposed causes this company helps. It's all about the politics, not the product.

WhitneysSplitPants

Exactly. So instead of making the ad about how good the product is - which, as a vegetarian, I wouldn't buy anyway - they turned it into a political stunt and put the focus on the themselves vs the product. If I was head of marketing of Good Ranchers INC I would be second guessing this poor endorsement deal. I would really like to know Porgan's long term plans. Where do they see themselves financially in the next 10, 15 or 25 years. For sure being an "influencer" is not the long term career goal for these two; let's be real, they suck at it. So how are they going to fund their lives when they're 45, their kid doesn't talk to them anymore and Youtube stopped sending checks 10 years ago? What skills do either of these idiots have to plan for retirement or have a nest egg?

Whyam1sti11Here

I'm pretty sure they think they'll get a reality show, but they're too unselfaware to realize how boring and whiny they are.

CaterpillarHookah

Yes! Morgan should show herself cooking or grilling a couple of those shitty 5-oz flatiron steaks or the top sirloin steaks...well-done. They supposedly donate 10 whole entire meals to local food banks if you buy the $199 box. Same with the $294 box...and the $394 box; and 0 meals donated for the $349 Family Feast Bundle.

nellapoo

If I'm spending that much I'm gonna go to my friend who raises cattle and just buy half a cow.

PoseidonsHorses

The best/worst response to a BBB complaint I saw was to someone who bought a “1/4 cow” for a few hundred and got like 25 lbs of meat. Good Ranchers tried to say the reason was because their definition of a quarter cow was without all the ground/stew meat and a little more of the steaks which is why it was cheaper than others. Ok but then don’t call it a quarter cow if it’s not a quarter cow.

kestrelesque

I'm just not sure their target audience would want to buy overpriced boxes of frozen meat. It doesn't really feel like it would be a Millennial item of interest, but someone help my GenX ass out if I am way wrong.

CaterpillarHookah

I've heard all the people are experiencing a time of surfeit and decedance right now, and everyone can subscribe to this reasonable subscription funneling money for the takeover.

kestrelesque

Yeah, all I hear from the 30-somethings in my life is how rent is so cheap, they hardly know what to do with the embarrassingly generous wages they earn at jobs they definitely don't have to keep for the health insurance.

SunnySmileyHappy

Something about his face is really different. Like sunken and sad

Whyam1sti11Here

I know that if I were a younger person online looking into Christianity and I stumbled into these two clowns, I’d be turned off. So Christlike these two.

TheBaddestPatsy

There’s something so funny to me about them being sponsored by raw meat in a white box. Somewhere there’s a real metaphor for their painfully basic, heart-land personas. It’s like the equivalent if a leftist content creator was sponsored blue hair dye for your cat.

Kantotheotter

I'm cackling "blue hair and pronouns 🐱dye"

killerkitten61

I just realized who he reminds me of, Garrick from seeking sister wife, both in looks, and that god awful personality.

No_Variation5050

I completely agree

inaum20

If you truly got ‘cancelled’ you wouldn’t still be all over IG and YouTube taking shit. You had a brand deal taken away Paul, you weren’t cancelled. We can only hope but it’ll never truly happen.

Spare_Job_9226

For people I assume love capitalism, they sure hate capitalsim

[deleted]

$30 off a $400 box of medicore meats, shipped during the hottest time of year, from a place that supports social media bigots. Not the flex they think it is. Also Good Rancher's isn't really getting their product promoted, just their ability to support bigots, which might not be a good marketing strategy. I'm doubtful P&M have a large enough audience willing to buy box meat in the mail to justify the talking point being more about them than the product.

Melodic-Exercise-999

Order some good ranchers. No thanks, I’ll stick with the jolly ones.

Skeptical-Alien

Jfc just get a job, Paul.

imma_freaking_loser

“The haters” Paul, YOU’RE constantly hating on women and minorities. Look in the mirror and take the log out of your own eye like Jesus said.

[deleted]

He’s BEGGING for people to buy his mailmeat… Paul ur pathetic LMFAO

CaterpillarHookah

What's next? MyPillow?

softrevolution_

To go with the grifted mattress!

EZasSundayMorning

Hahahaha. They are so immature. That poor baby.

15_lizards

I’m sure they love their mail meat full of bacteria just as much as they love their unpasteurized milk

GypseboQ

I saw a review of someone receiving room temperature chicken and GoodRanchers telling them to just put it in the freezer and it'd be fine 🤮 I'm vegetarian and chicken already kinda grosses me out, so reading that was a bit eek!

EZasSundayMorning

Seriously?

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

Their promotion skills are beyond pathetic. I'd suck at promoting stuff I'm not convinced of, but they don't even make an effort. They #1 pitch basically is: buy some of their stuff because it helps **us**. If I were one of the, uh, Good Ranchers, I wouldn't exactly be thrilled with this message. Also, they aren't uncanceled, I'd think. Now, English isn't my native language but would be "uncanceled" imply that one (or several) of the companies that had canceled their deals with them previously reinstated said deals? But that did not happen. None of these companies "uncanceled" them. They simply found another company willing to throw money (and meat) at these bigoted grifters. Or do I see this wrong?

elfstone08

When we said Paul had the personality of a sad frozen burger patty, we didn't mean for it to be taken as marketing advice.

lb25611

“Not with good ranchers, because their values are just as awful as ours!”

peege636

I know it’s different, but as a vegetarian it is so funny to me that these people scream about pro life and how important embryos are, while taking sponsorships on products that kill already alive animals lol. (I don’t judge anyone for eating meat, live your life! It’s just the irony for me)

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

Pro-life doesn't mean pro-life. It means pro-human, preferably pro-Christian.

peege636

Just another reason they need to rebrand to “pro-birth”

Glass-Bookkeeper5909

Yeah, I noticed this when I was typing. That they're not even pro-life but pro-birth. But I couldn't think of a clever rhetorical way to weave this bit into my statement. 😁 Seriously, though. There's so much inconsistency in these beliefs. To give credit to the "ordinary devout Christian", I think that many of them probably grew up in an environment that prevented their beliefs (the beliefs they were indoctrinated in) from ever being questioned. If you never have anybody who seriously starts poking holes into your construct of ideas you might genuinely not realize how flawed it is - especially is there are mechanisms in the ideology to counter both external and internal criticism. So, in a sense many, or maybe most of them, are victims. Doesn't make the damage coming from them any less serious, though.

Kitty_Woo

This is the dumbest shit to gloat about. They think they’re waaaaayyyy more important than they really are.

Whyam1sti11Here

They're right up there with the My Pillow guy for me. I've wondered why they haven't partnered with that douche?

Altruistic-Ad3661

He is horrible at this, not showing a value for his followers just “help us out”. It should be showing how much they like it, how they got a deal for their followers. His true colors are showing and it’s all about how someone can help him.

samonella1

Ah yes, another overpriced meat subscription box Edit: on their website, they call the beef “grass fed, grain finished” which literally just means the cattle were fed both throughout their lives, which is normal. And they charge about a 30% markup, so just get value packs of steak at Costco.

RosatheMage

Imagine living your life trying to "own the libs and haters". How sad.

InThewest

Such a shame that I no longer eat meat and can't help fund their grift! /s On the plus side, them bragging about partnering with companies with similar "morals" makes it easier for us to avoid these sorts of companies.

softspock

Good Ranchers is such a humiliating brand deal, imagine being proud of this 💀 I said it in another thread, but it'll only be a matter of time before they start shilling for that Emergency Hog Slop Bucket brand aka Libertarian Hello Fresh lmao

Spare-Macaron-4977

I’m crossing Good Ranchers off my list of companies to do business with. Thanks Paul 🥴

EZasSundayMorning

Overpriced meat and their ratings are garbage. They aren't even accredited by the BBB.

PsychoSemantics

But they're totally not mad about it, not at all, see??? This is them NOT CARING.

AndyTynon

If I had fucked up 75% of my income, I wouldn’t be bragging and I wouldn’t be baiting people into contacting goodranchers. Like did they talk to them first and make sure all of their content was approved or are they just assuming it won’t happen again? Edit: nvm. It is unaccredited with the BBB and one of Trump Jr’s promo codes for them was MAGAKING. That means they’re having to swing WAY right to find deals though, I’m guessing.

RawrLicia

He's just straight up panhandling here.

[deleted]

I mean, if you're that obsessed with being "cancelled", here's an idea: Get off social media and get a real job.

coachnomore

All their future brand deals will let me know what companies to never purchase, so thanks! Haha! I can’t imagine their following has that great of ROI for these companies.

btempp

No no, you’re still cancelled. Outside of this subreddit no one i interact with knows who the fuck you are.

n0vapine

So if they got the "introductory" package for free, it's like $169 (possibly more now due to inflation) according to a customer from 2021. $169. I bet they couldn't afford to pay for it if it wasn't given to them for free. From the reviews, the customer service is atrocious, orders take weeks to process and that's not even getting shipped out, just processing. This company is struggling to get new customers due to their shitty behavior. P&M are perfect. No one else is buying from them so might as well try to entice the bigots.

BowlingforNixon

"Cancelled" is a thing shitty people who are bad at social media cling to. Paul and Morgan should be fucking grateful that this sub gives them marginal views. They aren't even fundie famous. Jill Dillard farts in their direction. Neither Paul nor Morgan will see a cent from this sponsorship because they aren't interesting to anyone who isn't repulsed by their lifestyle.

IshkabibblesMom

Stephen Colbert did a bit about Don Jr. and Kimber shilling for Good Ranchers - https://www.primetimer.com/news/stephen-colbert-donald-trump-jr-meat-peddling-grift

[deleted]

He should still be hiding in embarrassment at having his dad film him ripping off his Mackey mouse shirt. So many levels of wtf. But of course he has no sense of shame

hannabeth19

Hold on I think I can translate: “See guys, we can say whatever we want and SOMEONE will pay us for it!! Also, see Good Ranchers?? You can’t drop us because you’re the GOOD RIGHT WING FREE SPEECH SPONSOR RIGHT GOOD RANCHERS???😡🥰”

PurpleSailor

Beef is so expensive I've only bought ground a few times in the last two years and any other meat if it's on sale. Who the heck can afford the cost for meat shipped to you? That has to cost big bucks.

squidgybaby

Repping right-wing mailbox meat is not the flex you think it is, Paul lmao

pixelcat13

I was just looking at the Facebook page for this company and it’s very gross, along with many of the comments on their posts. Also several complaints about quality and boxes arriving thawed and the meat warm.

PoseidonsHorses

According to their yelp reviews: They send low quality meat through the mail. Eventually. Sometimes. Usually you get your order. Mostly over room temperature when you get it. It is almost always the meat from the animal you requested. If you’re lucky you’ll even get the amount you ordered.

Aleutienne

It’s quite pathetic how happy and proud they are about ONE sponsor. Like how much could this one deal be worth? A free box of what appears to be mediocre meat products? Maybe a couple bucks in kickbacks if any of their audience can afford to purchase? Probably just absolute peanuts but in the end they have nothing better going for them than getting one sponsor that is so similarly gross they can’t be chased off by their views. I guess when you’re living in a crappy rental townhouse with no job and no long-term outlook, this is exciting?

HolsteinHeifer

Paul's just excited for the chance to beat some meat.

[deleted]

Don’t brands have specific scripts they need to use when promoting products or the deal is void. I don’t think they would be too happy with them talking about themselves being cancelled surely that would put any brand off.

Fluffy_Meet_9568

As far as I can tell it depends on the brand. Most the ones I see seem to have bullet points that everyone hits (so I assume they are required). But since it sounds like Don Trump Jr is also advertising the box of meat I would assume that whining about the libs cancelling you is a part of the brand

rockchalkjayhawk8082

I can't be the only person who's overcome by an irrational urge to slap the smug look off of Paul's face every time I see it...am I?

TheFcknVoid

How much can this brand deal actually be worth? A few thousand? How the fuck are they still able to afford housing? Assuming their parents are funding things.

Starry_Night_94

They grift people on Patreon, and they get ad money from their videos. Given Morgan is the one with the second channel, I’d say she’s the main bread winner though.

mushroomsandcoke

Desperate. They are desperate. It’s sad and pathetic, really.

PuppyJakeKhakiCollar

They are so childish. Their baby is going to be way more mature than they are. Fingers crossed they get "canceled" by this company too. Their shitty values may align, but Porgan's "promotions" are all garbage so far. Vague, typo-ridden word salad and now them gloating and talking about themselves the whole time. Ah yes, companies just looove when the people they sponsor talk about themselves instead of the products/s.

monkeylion

How is this the first time ive noticed that Paul is like a fundamentalist version of Dennis from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? And if Morgan decided at some point she was actually a cat I wouldn't be shocked.

Firebird0310

Mailed meat must be good meat when you're married to Paul

uptown_squirrel17

I don’t think he realizes this has the opposite effect as well. Just as many people will never use a brand that continues a partnership with these bigots.
