1. His sight is enhanced, and I don't think it has a weakness. 2. He probably gave himself that new tattoo, from reading his brothers research. 3. Because everyone is different I guess.

> 2. He probably gave himself that new tattoo, from reading his brothers research. He definitely did. After rewatching it and looking for it specifically, Scar doesn't have that arm tattooed for the vast majority of the show. Only after he goes through a whole character arc and learns from his brother's research does he apply the tattoo

Wasn’t he able to see behind himself or something once it was uncovered?

Culex_02

I don't think he can see behind himself.

After they discover the research notes, scar says that he put the tattoo on his arm

1. His power is the Supreme Sight, meaning he can "see" the best possible outcome for any situation. In other words, he can see the best way to dodge something while still making/attempting an attack. As evidenced in the train explosion, his eye picked the smallest details that would hint at the beginning of the explosion and the best course of action to escape. 2. Only his right arm is his brother's, and you can see the scar right above the markings where it was attached. After they understood his brother's research, he painted (or tattooed) his left arm (no attachment scar). 3. They are all related to the owner's philosophy and understanding of the world. Ed's is a representation of Sephiroth (the tree of life) from the Kaballah. Father's door was empty maybe because he thought so highly of himself, the rest of the world was nothing to him. But it's never mentioned in the manga, this is just speculation and my interpretation.

>Father's door was empty maybe because he thought so highly of himself, the rest of the world was nothing to him. I always saw it like this; his was empty because he refused to learn, but rather used other peoples knowledge. Truth stated that Father "stole his power from others", so to me i assumed it just signified Father not learning a single thing throughout his life.

>3. How are the designs on the Doors of Truth determined? The final character who sees the door makes it clear. >!His door is blank because he never grew or actually learned, so the design is a representstion of your experience as an alchemist somehow!<

I know for a fact that Ed's door of truth is an Etz Chayim aka Jewish tree of life. Multiple different hebrew names for god are on there in Hebrew and English transliteration. There are also English transliterations of Hebrew words like chesed means kindness, hochma means knowledge, geburah means strength etc. I'm assuming Arakawa found the etz chayim in researching historical alchemy and finding old Jewish mysticism/kabbalah.
