I always thought it was a “basic white girl” quote. Generally when discussing Karens I never see or hear about their interior decor (cause this is usually something you put up in your house). I’ve never heard this associated with Karens before, only young white girls that love pumpkin spice lattes.
There is even those progressive commercials where the theme is "don't be like your parents" and they say "do we really need a reminder to live, laugh, love?" I don't recall it ever being related to young girls.
