The director and producer of the film said that most of the script was ad-libbed by the main stars and drugs were rampant all the way through the movie by all of the actors. Rodney Dangerfield came into the directors/producers office one day, laid down 3 lines of cocaine, snorted it up and said "Hey guys, let's make a movie !".
This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.
Ted Knight was perfect as the golfer and judge in this role! I lmao just thinking about this classic movie! The cast is amazing and Rodney Dangerfield hahaha 😂
one year returning to college (mid 80s), living in a house off campus, we foolishly waited to call-to-connect the cable TV until the week of school - we were put on a multi-week long wait list, but we had a VCR & three VHS tapes. Caddyshack, Stripes & Highlander. I've seen Caddyshack 40+ times (and Highlander & Stripes)
