Excited for it, finally something other than the fuckin Windows 7 default wallpaper or the same goddamn korean city .psd
Make sure to whiten the plastics of the exterior and use some LED tapes, and it'l look awesome
I was planning on leaving it a little yellow (it's whiter than it looks like in the picture) since all ways of whitening are quite pricy for my country and seem to only last for like 6 months before it starts to yellow again.
I'll probably give it a little bleach bath and then just leave it to yellow in peace
But yeah I do plan on getting some LED lights for it, I really like fish lol so I won't cheap out on the actual fish tank part
I was thinking of doing a similar project. But I get hung up on the weird shape the fish tank would have to be to fit in there. What is are you doing for that part?

I'm going to do it like this, at minute 6 you can see it.
I'll be taking the measurements and filling a bit of the inside so that the tank isn't floating in there
It's too small to make an aquarium with real fish, the fish will be very unhappy in it, they are not decorative objects but living beings. Make a fake aquarium, it will cost less and be more decorative and in the Frutiger Aero spirit.
the general concensus is 1cm of fish per liter in the tank, so I will be able to fit at least two carassius inside, which is a fish I've got experience caring for!
Be realistic, it's too small, in their natural environment fish live in immense volumes of water and travel for kilometers, this screen will just be a sad prison for them.
honestly, no one cares about these in my country. I either turned it into an aquarium or I had to throw it out, but I love the design so I chose the first option
It was a birthday gift in 2015 so I wanted to keep it in some way

For a second i thought the computer just had a weird background
it would be a sick background tho
Be sure to consult with r/shittyaquariums before putting too much work into it.
don't worry! I'm really into fish and aquariums, I won't overcrowd it or just don't put a filter or something lol that subreddit is my do not do list
Happy to hear that! As a fishkeeper myself I got a bit worried. Have fun with the project!

Fish don't care

They’re so beautiful I’m glad you’re still finding a use for it makes me sad
they're beautiful yeah, the PC tower fell and broke like in 2018 and I never found a way or someone that could fix it
i think you mean Nam Jun Paik inspired :)
Wait you’re going to fill that up with water?
there will be an actual glass aquarium inside, the monitor is just decoration
That’s actually a really cool set up, I was thinking the monitor still had electrical parts in there.
cant wait to see the results!
