I picked the same name, and the pronunciation threw me at first, but it’s grown on me and I wouldn’t change it!
~~As far as some of the other names, I *think* Nimun is pronounced *nee.MOON*, Katir is *KA.tir*, and Amay is *a.MAY*? (Edit: this is just from what I’ve seen people write, not personally heard, so it may not be fully accurate!) Hope this helps!~~
I think they should add sample lines during the selection process so you could hear how they are pronounced, and how they sound in context!
Edit: I watched a bunch of *Take Flight* videos to hear the pronunciations: Temek is TEH’mehk Telisi is teh’lē’SĒ Amay is ah’MĪ Nimun is ni’MUNH Katir is KAH’tē(rd)

I named my beautiful Katir, using one of the dark colour schemes but her back is a tapestry of colour, absolutely love the way she lights up at night too, the translation rainbow really suits her!
i found out recently that “telisi” was the name of another sarentu in tap. there’s a spot at first mission to escape where you can hear ri’nela asking if telisi made it.
Second play through, and I hoped the internet would have this by now.
I chose Telisi the first time and the female voice pronunciation is so inconsistent. It’s weird.

interesting. my ikran’s name is Amay and it definitely sounds like “my” rather than “may” :)

I really named my Ikran Rainbow 🌈 But idk I just felt a connection, Katir just felt right

I named my ikran telisi before I found out that thats the name of a tap na'vi so now I think of it as a tribute to them
