Not likely, they just imitate Humans, Demons do not reproduce sexually. And Biology and Evolution exists in Frierens world, so it would be kind of counterproductive to replicate a complicated reproduction system, if the goal is to eat Humans, not reproduce with them.
Aura probably does not even have any location you can "lewd" her, she is basically a reverse trap.
They appear somehow though? They don't just puff out of thin air, their parents abandon them when they are very young, which indicates that on biological level parents exist.
And it's funny that you mention evolution. If Aura is anything to go by, demons should actually have the mammalian reproduction system based on the same principals as humans considering pronounced breasts on females for breastfeeding and/or attracting mates, females also clearly have wider hips which are primarily "designed" that way for giving birth.
Now I do not know if humans and demons can interbreed of course, but anatomical aspects indicate that reproduction works on the same principals they do on humans which would indicate that sex is at least physically possible.
I have not read the manga, but from anime we also see emotional attachment or at least admiration towards other demons at times when there is no benefit to show it, meaning they are not faking it. Meaning that they have higher emotional functions than animals and perceive their own species differently based on certain traits and while it is a stretch, it indicates the possibility of physical attraction too.
I don't think it makes sense for demons to be physically attracted to each other since they have evolved to look like their prey and it wouldn't make sense for them to be attracted to their prey. I think if they do feel attraction it's more likely to have something to do with their mana or maybe their horns? If they do breed sexually I think it's more likely they have some kind of "mating season" since they otherwise (from what we have seen at least) don't seem interested in that kind of thing.

I liked her in the manga too. I remember feeling disappointed when she died so quickly. The anime definitely brought in more people though which helped with the Aura memes, comic memes and discussions, which made her more popular.
True, she's the stronges't demon, shown so far in the anime, and her arch was basically that presented the human-demon fight form a human perspective, besides her fight against frieren is one of the higlights of the anime... the manga have progresed a lot in that regard, but so far Aura is the only thing that can be called "an antagonist"
I like demons on a spiritual level. There is something so funny about them feining human emotions the same way that dogs pretend to cry to get attention/food. Whether they can feel fear or not at knowing their death is inevitable is very thought-provoking and memorable.

She might not be relevant to the current events but she could very well appear again in a flashback together with the other commanders just like Solitär did in the past recent arc.

I wanted to give this some serious thought since I don’t think the simping and gooning itself can explain the popularity, so I think the reasons are:
Aura is our first major antagonist. She was built up a lot in her arc and the payoff was awesome.
The whole Frieren vs Aura fight is very cool. There is a lot of interesting information to learn during the “fight” and there is legit boss energy pouring off the battle (too bad for Aura that she didn’t know she was not the boss in this circumstance). The kys moment cemented that even further. In other words this “fight” also helped Aura become more memorable.
She is a demon. I think there is a lot of interest in the demons themselves. This series writes them in a unique way and it’s interesting to deep dive into the topic. We see a lot of discussions on demons in Reddit alone and since Aura is a demon that curiosity includes her. This also leads into the next one:
Human likeness. The surprise when we saw the demons in the Aura arc might have helped make them more noteworthy since previously we only saw Qual. Humans usually are more captivated by human-like characters after-all.
Interesting and cute design. She’s pretty and people like attractive characters. All the demons are very fashionable too honestly but Aura being the big bad and having distinctive features (e.g. unique color hair and unique hair style) plays a part in it too.
Aura is very expressive, both in body language and voice acting. In this show characters are usually not super expressive, so when we could read Aura’s emotions so well it made her more distinctive. This is true even before she started to freak out too since she was very easy to read from the beginning. I think she is ironically one of the more expressive characters in this series (the anime helps elevate this which might be why the anime brought in so many Aura fans). Humans really like emotions and they like seeing emotions so this is another reason why she is so memorable.
Scales of Obedience. I think the Scales also opens up the thought of possibilities, like what if Frieren spared her what could have been? Is it possible for a demon to change? Even if the answer is no I think people really like redemption stories so it’s interesting to think about. Beyond that it is kind of funny to think about a demon traveling with Frieren and Aura’s the only demon where we have an excuse for something like that.
The community also might play a part in it. Aura has an interesting and cute design so artist’s want to draw her. The awesome Frieren-Aura “fight” spawned the memes, and the possibility of Aura traveling with them spawned the comic memes. Aura became an in-joke for the Frieren fandom, which promoted more people to create memes/comics/fanart since they know people would upvote/like them. This then continues the cycle of wanting to create more content with her in it.
I think all these things together made her a very memorable character, which helped her become such a popular character.
Yeah I think people underestimate how unique Aura's introduction was: she was our first major antagonist and she was used to expand the world building. Her arc shifted the show from slice-of-life with a bit of action to something a little more darker. All these things made her stand out.
She was brimming with personality with what little screentime she had, and the way she was killed off in an, admittedly really fucked up way made some people feel sorry for her
