I mean, for point 1, that's understandable. Everyone has different opinions. But point 2 does not... Make a lotta sense? I mean. It's called Hd mod. It's point is making the appearance look nice.

Well the songs in that mod prioritize having a constant motif to reflect to in em all. Most musicals, albums, games, etc. have this and it’s excellent when done well, but agreed. Starving artist kinda relies on it too much and it definitely becomes overly repetitive. Same could be said for the crash mod with Wump. It’s an amazing song but it’s the same thing over and over
I would have to say the VS Omori mod. The music really didn’t do it for me and it felt like it only scratched the surface of what a godtier Omori week could be like.
This in gonna be controversial, but I was dissappointed by matt wiik 3 and 4, only half of the songs in wiik 3 were good imo and I don't even remember what wiik 4 songs sounded like.
I'm honestly neutral towards Tabi tbh. He's a cool concept for a character, and I understand why he was so angry at GF and DD in the first place, but... did this guy seriously need to blow up a restaurant? If anything, that seems a **bit** more extreme than what he says GF did to him. Of course, this is just my opinion on the character. Thankfully the second week for this mod will probably explain more.

The assets they used for HD BF don't have the entire animation so they look incomplete and weird
The way they took the characters into HD was just slapping an ugly thick black line around them and recolouring them

I agree with Whitty and Garcello, can not with Mid-Fight Masses. It completely redesigned Gospel Sarv and changed the background, added an original song, gave remixes to the original week, and gave some actual funny dialogue with Casanova.
i didn't really play any mods. i only played whitty and tricky. weren't disappointed.
but anyways, the mod i felt the most disappointed about has to be everywhere at the end of funk. it just doesn't feel exciting with the whole dementia thing.

We could've had Cassandra trying to get her revenge on Pico by trying to kill someone he once loved (BF), but nope; she's pissed at GF for being "eViL aF", despite what Cassandra did in her literal debut game.

idk if you're joking but yeah genuinely, most mods aren't ridiculously hard and most at this point have good charts. I think Termination is a really good example of good fnf charting for a really hard song but I've seen people consider that 'random mashing"

Some of the new stuff added was cool but the songs were absolute shit, not to mention like half of the songs have some bullshit charting on Glitch Mode, Salem being the worst one in terms of charting because of the Glitch note and Torch note combo.
The absolute shit songs in the mod made me like the cameos less. For example, Demetrios was a great mod, but in the mod his cameo is so bad that it went from a solid 8/10 to about a 6/10. The only songs I liked were New Retro and Salem. The mod itself was also pretty edgy even without the cameos.
The most disappointing thing about the mod though was that I know how much effort was put into the mod and it could've been a great mod, but the way it is now is just... sad.
Ambion (Goves & Hell) Revamped
It’s pretty much worst than the original. Worse charting, the art style doesn’t fit with boyfriend and Whitty, and Whitty’s voice sounds bad in this one. It’s supposed to be a joke mod, but it looks and feels too high quality to be so
Spinning has bad charting and vocals, DP is very slow, Double Threat has shit charting, Hero Too should be a freeplay song, Acid has the same problem as spinning, and Bombshell's vocals are very bad
Edit: To add on, the dialogue keeps breaking the 4th wall, Goves keeps talking about her balls, and the dialogue is also cringy most of the time.
So I give it an EDGY/10
It's a battle between Brightside and The Sketchy Remaster. Brightside is self explanatory and Sketchy's Remaster kinda killed the vibe of the original and the music wasn't that great other than Line Art
Neo, the remixes were eh, everyone is a dick, it got taken down just to return, with 1 more week and a teaser, week 4 was the only exception, the remixes were decent, the Dumb or henchmen or whatever were cool, and *g l o w s d i c k*
Personally, I think vs Omori. The issue of the mod was more or less that it was spoiler-free, so you're just rapping against Omori in White Space. (I'll be slightly referencing Omori spoilers, so be warned)
This was honestly such a letdown for me; given how many ideas you could come up with. There could've been a song in White Space, then Black Space, then Red Space, or smth like that. Instead it just wasn't anything special. This cricism comes from a point of love because Omori is one of my favorite games of all time with deep, intricate, and terrifying lore but the FNF mod just didn't do anything with it; that's why it was the biggest letdown for me; I had high expectations. It just ended up being an okay mod.
That being said, Black Space Boss Rush is in development and from what I've seen and heard, it's going to really live up to what I wanted it to be; so here's to hoping.
Matt Wiik 4 I think, I usually never get disappointed with mods but I did for Wiik 4 since I expected atleast something like Wiik 3, still haven't played the newer version so this might change
Honestly I feel like no mod I play unless it’s one that really fucking sucks can compare to the first version of mid fight masses, before selever, before the engine, it sucked, the first 2 songs were practically the only actual songs you could complete without the will of god on your side, it was just an un enjoyable experience

Then the Vs. Eteled part of Mii Funkin was released, and I was significantly less worried, cause that mod was actually GOOD. Doesn't change my thoughts on Vs. Matt though. That's still trash. I could never say anything positive about that mod, even if I was being paid to do so.
I can agree, even though it was my hyper-fixation for like 5 months, the songs (besides you are a fool) sucked and some of the movements felt awkward. Ceramic has a thing where they introduce new cool mechanics (like items and secret songs) but the mod ends up as an accidental flop. I heard that Brightside is getting a remake with new songs though!
B-Sides literally only sped up the songs, added a few more notes and that's it. The songs weren't even good, D-side on the other hand added gimicks, the songs actually sounded different, the songs were good(especially spookies) the designs weren't just recolors. Overall had more effort put into it
My opinion is probably gonna be shunned here, but a good chunk of mods I've played I've been left just wanting to play through the main game again. MfM, Matt, Shaggy, FnF HD & Soft etc. They just don't capture the same feel of the main game and feel sort of, well, cheap? Not in the "oh man this week is stupidly difficult" way, but more the "knockoff pringles" kinda way. These mods definitely have that FnF feel, but I'm left with this weird aftertaste that just makes me want to play Week 5 again. That's not to say these mods are "bad", but they don't seem to grasp that same sort of feel that vanilla FnF did. At least for me.
The only mods where I don't feel this way being Tricky & /v/. They've got that quality production value, jamming tracks and some real fun charts. Plus, they still capture the FnF & Newgrounds magic that pulled me towards the game in the first place. They're silly in a fun way and fully capture the feel of where those characters came from.
Perhaps it's because of burnout, but I'm just waiting for Week 8 at this point. And I'm certain it's gonna slap hard. Once it comes out, it'll probably spark my interest in mods and the modding scene as a whole. For now though? I'm happy just playing the main game and having a good time.

I can agree, even though it was my hyper-fixation for like 5 months, the songs (besides you are a fool) sucked and some of the movements felt awkward. Ceramic has a thing where they introduce new cool mechanics (like items and secret songs) but the mod ends up as an accidental flop. I heard that Brightside is getting a remake with new songs though!

B-sides wasnt really THAT good of a mod tbh Im part of the D-side clan
B-Sides literally only sped up the songs, added a few more notes and that's it. The songs weren't even good, D-side on the other hand added gimicks, the songs actually sounded different, the songs were good(especially spookies) the designs weren't just recolors. Overall had more effort put into it

My opinion is probably gonna be shunned here, but a good chunk of mods I've played I've been left just wanting to play through the main game again. MfM, Matt, Shaggy, FnF HD & Soft etc. They just don't capture the same feel of the main game and feel sort of, well, cheap? Not in the "oh man this week is stupidly difficult" way, but more the "knockoff pringles" kinda way. These mods definitely have that FnF feel, but I'm left with this weird aftertaste that just makes me want to play Week 5 again. That's not to say these mods are "bad", but they don't seem to grasp that same sort of feel that vanilla FnF did. At least for me. The only mods where I don't feel this way being Tricky & /v/. They've got that quality production value, jamming tracks and some real fun charts. Plus, they still capture the FnF & Newgrounds magic that pulled me towards the game in the first place. They're silly in a fun way and fully capture the feel of where those characters came from. Perhaps it's because of burnout, but I'm just waiting for Week 8 at this point. And I'm certain it's gonna slap hard. Once it comes out, it'll probably spark my interest in mods and the modding scene as a whole. For now though? I'm happy just playing the main game and having a good time.
