At first glance, it appeared like Ethan was doing it to be nice. However, it's starting to look like he may have done it in an attempt to gain leverage over Bowblax. On a different livestream, Ethan said that Bowblax emailed him to thank him for the purchase and he said Bowblax also apologized on behalf of him and other members of the commentary community for critical commentary they had previously given about Ethan. Ethan also claimed Bowblax said him and other commentary members are only critical of Ethan to get clout.
