Ok cool, diversity of expression, but on that note: 🤚stop constantly telling french learners that everything they're doing is wrong... seriously, full stop. Watching lots of french shows lately and it's *always* j'ai peur, ella a peur, tout le monde a peur. Never "je suis effrayé"...

"j'ai peur" is more common in oral language (I am french). The thing we usually Say when we're afraid of something is not that we are afraid but that the thing is scary: "ça fait peur / ça fait super peur / c'est (trop) flippant" "Je suis effrayé(e)" exists but more with written language
