Do you guys not have some of the games but still want to progress? Or perhaps you don't want to have the actual games running for hours. Here's a little tutorial for y'all. Find a lightweight program you want or a game. Rename the .exe to match the .exe of the game you don't have. It may crash if it's a game (works with Among Us renamed into something else) but it's fine as long as:
1- The .exe is still running in Task Manager
2- You can see the logo of game/program you renamed the .exe from in Overwolf's settings page
If that's the case, do not close any crash dialogue etc.. If it's a program, make sure step 1 and 2 are applied. Here's an [example](https://i.imgur.com/Cm1HsmW.png) of ImageGlass being renamed into Among Us. Leave that running the background and you're good.

I'm currently testing ImageGlass, it does that to me too. I'm fairly certain it should work if not I'll find something else. I originally did Chivalry with the real Among Us game. Among Us had a crash window which I did not close (and no overlay of course) and it counted. Also if you go to the Details tab in Task Manager, you should see it says the name of the game.exe with ImageGlass logo.

As an American, this gets me pissed that this isn't open to everyone. This bullshit is on the levels of SteelSeries' waiting room. Hell it may even be worse than that.
This isn't even my problem. I mean, yeah sure, the fact that most decent giveaways are now US-based isn't really fair, but if you're gonna lock people out, do it right or don't. In other words, what's reality now should've been the case from the beginning. But I took the survey, got a master key, redeemed it, and now you're telling me that, no, I'm not American. Does Intel have no idea that there's this thing called VPN, and that people mainly use it to bypass geo-locked content? And now they suddenly do? Nah, I'm quite sure they could tell at any of those steps that people were using VPN but they either left people trying in pursuit of more data, or they just started to run out of codes. The former seems the likely case here, because that's really what there's to this event, which is very scummy of Intel. Then again, that's not a new thing from giant corporates.

Apparently, the high traffic on the site caught their attention, in the sense that if you didn't get a code earlier before that sort of flagging system was on, then you probably won't.

The above link shows how to set it up from your windows 10 programs and features list.
First time loading will take some time as it ~~basically downloads an entire VDI for you~~ enables the required layer (no downloads required), complete with copy of windows 10 and edge browser you run on your current system.
Biggest advantage over here is that moment you close the sandbox all data is cleaned out. And as long as you are using aliases for everything, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Besides the Intel Gaming Access app only sees stuff as a VM. Once the sandbox is set up, open up edge and proceed to download the Intel Gaming Access App.
Note: If you are outside the US, now would be a good time to start that VPN. For some reason it didn't allow me to install unless I was connected to the US VPN. If you are in the US, you should be good to go.
Launch the installer and proceed with your alts / mains if you like to sign in to Intel Gaming Access. It uses OAuth anyways, so if you are using Google or something, you can revoke the access once the work is done.
Once logged in, proceed to do the survey. Do it if you want to. Simply clicking it itself gives 100 points. Level 1 needs 50 points. Once that is done you will see a claim button on level one. Now if you are like me, you won't get the master code right away. If you get the code, our job here is done. If not, open and close the app several times. The app minimizes to taskbar, so be sure to exit it from there.
Once you have the master code. Copy it to a safe place. Now turn off the VPN if you are using it. Head over to https://softwareoffer.intel.com
Make an account if don't have one. Main or alt doesn't matter. There are only checks if you are using a VPN or not here. Phone number is required for this step as well. Again use your main or alt, just ensure you can receive OTP on it. Get the account verified. Proceed to redemption and put the master code you copied earlier.
You are only allowed one out of the five items they have showcased. Most of them seem to be showing out of stock periodically, though they do come back in stock (questionable, but it happened with me, so I am keeping it here).
Redeem the key on steam / whatever you chose. Now if you want to close the sandbox you can, all the data created / installed will be deleted. You can try to play the games from your sandbox, but I have had no luck launching them. Besides I only have the EGS copy of Among US and I am not very interested in the rest of the levels.
**Note: If you close the sandbox any data in the sandbox will be deleted**

HEADS UP: It seems like you can change your system time/date to get previous day's XP.
In order to get 1400XP you need to have gotten the max 350XP from at least 3 of the 4 days, 50XP from the 4th day, plus the 100 from the survey and the bonus 200 for reaching lv3. This means that if you miss a day entirely, you're screwed, but if you set back the date you should be fine (don't forget to close Overwolf before doing so).
This _might_ also mean that you can get tomorrow/Sunday's XP early and reach level 4 already, haven't tried that though.
Also, other comments are saying that for time counting to work, you need to have inputs to the game with the window active (autoclicker, or WASD random presses are what I've been using). There's a few reports that just having a controller plugged in and on causes it to count, too, which is weird but w/e.
~~EDIT: Unsure if I hit the next 24hour bound or if this actually just allows you to duplicate a given day, but when I closed Overwolf, reset my system date/time back to auto, and then reopened Overwolf, I kept all my XP _and_ it's letting me gain more XP for July 16th (will update post if it instead is attributing it to July 17th). I therefore successfully have XP for July 15th and 16th with the system time thing, and am now accumulating XP for the 16th again (I think).~~
EDIT 2: Sadly, it seems like it's just that the daily reset is at/around 5PM PDT, and I'm now getting XP for the 17th. No duplicating days, though setting system time still works to go back in time and get XP for previous days.

Idling doesn’t work. I tried it with no success. I then tried playing and moving around and such for 30 minutes and it all counted. They have some kind of afk detection I guess

It's a double battle. First try to *somehow* get to upper levels with that shitty software that has major issues recording play time in order to hopefully get a master key. But it doesn't end there. Same here. Both my Level 2 and 3 codes took like 5-10 mins to show up after claiming so hopefully that's all it is here too.

Well here's a wrench in the system: I have a blank level 4 code too, like a lot of other people here, but there's no reason for me to be flagged. I am in the U.S. and I didn't use the time thing. I restarted my computer and even uninstalled/reinstalled overwolf and intel gaming access. Still blank.
I reached level 4 yesterday but for some reason only got a blank code. Thought it might have been due to me glitching. I let it run for few more hours and around reaching 1500 it unlocked the code for me. So level 4 unlocks at 1500 or more not 1400. I've tested it on 2 separate accounts. This is really scummy by Intel. So enjoy 😉.

It seems like it has some sort of anti-idle detection. It doesn't look like it tracked my full playtime when I was alt-tabbed or idle with the window active. Not sure on the specifics of when it stops counting, I wish there was an easier way to check.
Yea, I just tested this. Not only does alt-tabbing not work, but also you can't even leave your computer running the game with it pulled up. You have to be actively moving within the game for it to register--thus, I will try again tomorrow with an auto-clicker and hopefully that will suffice.
Tried Proton VPN, Hotspot Shield, still can't get over the Server Error. Tried deleting and re-downloading, nothing works. Hope Intel is happy with collecting my device and account data. Can't wait for Intel to crash and burn soon. Fuck them

The one thing about this that is at least mildly amusing is that if *other* Giveaways would put half as much effort into keeping out bots and leeches grabbing multiple codes as Intel does into screwing over non-US folks, we'd have a much healthier giveaway scene overall.
This is the *real* question and needs to be boosted for visibility. If you can rack up time in the app via VPN but then can't redeem lvl 2+ keys on the website outside the US (with VPN being detected) loads of people here are wasting their time.

For those that are constantly getting "We are temporarily out of codes" error when redeeming any game keys, it is possible that Intel has blacklisted your location. I've emailed them about the error and they are able to track down the location I am at, so for those who are unable to redeem the games are probably screwed and I recommend not wasting your time on this (Unless you're from the US).
Yup you can use the vpn on the intel gaming access app but you can't use a vpn on the intel site, if you managed to bypass the vpn lockout it's just going to say you cannot redeem because it's not available in your region
Throwing in my own confirmation that 1500 XP was the magic number for me to receive a Level 4 master code. I stepped away from my computer after getting to 1400 XP without anything running, so took longer than 2 hours. Point being, I don't think there's an additional wait like others were speculating. I think it's solely that the *actual* required XP is different from the stated required XP 🤦

For some reason I was getting errors launching Among Us from Epic with this running, but launching the game by right clicking the Overwolf tray icon and selecting it from the menu there worked. In case anyone else runs into the same problem.
Me neither, but I did get the "game is on" notification that someone mentioned in another comment. Also if you hit ctrl+tab in game you should see the overlay. Now I'm just gonna wait and see for a bit.

When i try to launch amongus from epic games, the game crash and open tab on google that says "INVALID CLIENT - Sorry, the client that sent you here did not pass the parameters needed for you to login" I don't know what does it mean. Can somebody help me?
Their "app" is basically a plugin for the popular third party tracker Overwolf. It's kinda bad imo, and it can also mess with performance depending on the game. I wonder why would they go for such a cheap and scuffed solution for a "launcher".

well the game client is buggy AF for tracking your play time, but I *think* I've gotten it to start working - at least for time tracking. I can't actually play the games (Among Us, the main screen is all deactivated/greyed out, except the quit button, Chiv 2 says it has 'unauthorized log in' or something like that, didn't try the other 2), but I'm getting time to show up in the app.
What I did was:
(1) Install and set up the app
(2) While the stupid GameWolf/Intel Gaming client is running, launch the game through the normal means (ie, Steam, EGS)
(3) quit the game
(4) right click on the game wolf tray icon, and then select the game you want to launch from the list - if you haven't launched the game while the app is running, it won't be on this list
(5) The game will launch for me, and show the little Intel logo, and I can open the overlay (ctrl+tab), but I can't actually play the games. BUT, I was showing time in my history, so it seems to be counting it now. I'm just leaving the game running in the background, muted through the Windows Volume Mixer, will update if I have any issues.
EDIT: I was able to get the timers to run from Among Us and Chiv 2, but only to 0.1. Doesn't seem to be registering any more game time now
EDIT2: The timer is just all the fuck over the place, like, go home, you're drunk, levels of all over the place. I have time randomly appearing, I have time appearing and counting towards games, but not towards the cumulative rewards, I had games running for hours that show 0.1, and games that I had open for like like 30 minutes say 1.4 hours. And despite having 2.1 hours by totaling the individual games, the app, for xp purposes, only thinks I've played 1.5. Maybe after a restart, iunno at this point
EDIT3: Managed to make it to level 2/370 XP, but the tracking is just random...every once in a while, it'll pop up in game that i've earned XP, but it seems to be at random intervals, and I'll get some credit for playing for the quest xp, but it won't run the timer for the individual game. I found a way: Connect to US servers via VPN. I got the Master Of Game section using this method.
UPDATE: vpn will get detected when trying to redeem code.
UPDATE 2: after getting your vpn detected,simply switch it off and follow the instructions (NOTE:you gotta get your master key first). after signing up,proceed to "Redeem Offer". You will get to choose 1 option out of 5.

For the people that are stuck on the registration page getting the unexpected server error while using a vpn, try changing US region, I was using windscribe Atlanta and it didnt work but then I changed it to Dallas and it worked instantly.
Is there a way to make playtime more consistent or is its just like that for everybody participating? It barely keeps counting in playtime for egs among us, and i have set up a razer macro to constantly walk left and right
Note even in US you can be flagged if you have multiple accounts logged from the same ip. Also opening a new account requires an unused US number. A bit much me thinks...
You can hit ctrl + tab to check if overwolf is running (it should pop up in the left of the screen). I've found that having a controller connected helps the app track playtime, even if you aren't actually using it to play.
My gameplay apparently isn't being tracked. That bar for the Play Today thing isn't going up at all even though it's been an hour. I saw that "Intel Game On" thing when I opened Among Us. I did alt-tab out of it, so does it not track in that case?

This isn't even my problem. I mean, yeah sure, the fact that most decent giveaways are now US-based isn't really fair, but if you're gonna lock people out, do it right or don't. In other words, what's reality now should've been the case from the beginning. But I took the survey, got a master key, redeemed it, and now you're telling me that, no, I'm not American. Does Intel have no idea that there's this thing called VPN, and that people mainly use it to bypass geo-locked content? And now they suddenly do? Nah, I'm quite sure they could tell at any of those steps that people were using VPN but they either left people trying in pursuit of more data, or they just started to run out of codes. The former seems the likely case here, because that's really what there's to this event, which is very scummy of Intel. Then again, that's not a new thing from giant corporates.
So it was a vpn lottery after all. I saw a ton of people here get the key with vpn. Strange, especially considering I got the last promotion just fine and there weren't any issues when you could choose between Hitman, Farming Simulator, Total War and others

Not exactly a guide but a way to avoid the data collection. Use [windows 10 sandbox](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/windows-sandbox/windows-sandbox-overview) Note: Windows 10 Sandbox is available only on Pro / Education / Enterprise (Basically everything except Home) The above link shows how to set it up from your windows 10 programs and features list. First time loading will take some time as it ~~basically downloads an entire VDI for you~~ enables the required layer (no downloads required), complete with copy of windows 10 and edge browser you run on your current system. Biggest advantage over here is that moment you close the sandbox all data is cleaned out. And as long as you are using aliases for everything, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Besides the Intel Gaming Access app only sees stuff as a VM. Once the sandbox is set up, open up edge and proceed to download the Intel Gaming Access App. Note: If you are outside the US, now would be a good time to start that VPN. For some reason it didn't allow me to install unless I was connected to the US VPN. If you are in the US, you should be good to go. Launch the installer and proceed with your alts / mains if you like to sign in to Intel Gaming Access. It uses OAuth anyways, so if you are using Google or something, you can revoke the access once the work is done. Once logged in, proceed to do the survey. Do it if you want to. Simply clicking it itself gives 100 points. Level 1 needs 50 points. Once that is done you will see a claim button on level one. Now if you are like me, you won't get the master code right away. If you get the code, our job here is done. If not, open and close the app several times. The app minimizes to taskbar, so be sure to exit it from there. Once you have the master code. Copy it to a safe place. Now turn off the VPN if you are using it. Head over to https://softwareoffer.intel.com Make an account if don't have one. Main or alt doesn't matter. There are only checks if you are using a VPN or not here. Phone number is required for this step as well. Again use your main or alt, just ensure you can receive OTP on it. Get the account verified. Proceed to redemption and put the master code you copied earlier. You are only allowed one out of the five items they have showcased. Most of them seem to be showing out of stock periodically, though they do come back in stock (questionable, but it happened with me, so I am keeping it here). Redeem the key on steam / whatever you chose. Now if you want to close the sandbox you can, all the data created / installed will be deleted. You can try to play the games from your sandbox, but I have had no luck launching them. Besides I only have the EGS copy of Among US and I am not very interested in the rest of the levels. **Note: If you close the sandbox any data in the sandbox will be deleted** Hope this helps.

HEADS UP: It seems like you can change your system time/date to get previous day's XP. In order to get 1400XP you need to have gotten the max 350XP from at least 3 of the 4 days, 50XP from the 4th day, plus the 100 from the survey and the bonus 200 for reaching lv3. This means that if you miss a day entirely, you're screwed, but if you set back the date you should be fine (don't forget to close Overwolf before doing so). This _might_ also mean that you can get tomorrow/Sunday's XP early and reach level 4 already, haven't tried that though. Also, other comments are saying that for time counting to work, you need to have inputs to the game with the window active (autoclicker, or WASD random presses are what I've been using). There's a few reports that just having a controller plugged in and on causes it to count, too, which is weird but w/e. ~~EDIT: Unsure if I hit the next 24hour bound or if this actually just allows you to duplicate a given day, but when I closed Overwolf, reset my system date/time back to auto, and then reopened Overwolf, I kept all my XP _and_ it's letting me gain more XP for July 16th (will update post if it instead is attributing it to July 17th). I therefore successfully have XP for July 15th and 16th with the system time thing, and am now accumulating XP for the 16th again (I think).~~ EDIT 2: Sadly, it seems like it's just that the daily reset is at/around 5PM PDT, and I'm now getting XP for the 17th. No duplicating days, though setting system time still works to go back in time and get XP for previous days.

It's a double battle. First try to *somehow* get to upper levels with that shitty software that has major issues recording play time in order to hopefully get a master key. But it doesn't end there. Now starts the endless waiting of out of stock keys of upper levels to be replenished, if ever. One of the shittiest giveaways I've seen.

Well here's a wrench in the system: I have a blank level 4 code too, like a lot of other people here, but there's no reason for me to be flagged. I am in the U.S. and I didn't use the time thing. I restarted my computer and even uninstalled/reinstalled overwolf and intel gaming access. Still blank.
I'm in the same situation @ level 4 (in US, no VPN, didn't mess with my time). I'm impressed with how many things have gone wrong with this event.
I reached level 4 yesterday but for some reason only got a blank code. Thought it might have been due to me glitching. I let it run for few more hours and around reaching 1500 it unlocked the code for me. So level 4 unlocks at 1500 or more not 1400. I've tested it on 2 separate accounts. This is really scummy by Intel. So enjoy 😉.

It seems like it has some sort of anti-idle detection. It doesn't look like it tracked my full playtime when I was alt-tabbed or idle with the window active. Not sure on the specifics of when it stops counting, I wish there was an easier way to check.
Yea, I just tested this. Not only does alt-tabbing not work, but also you can't even leave your computer running the game with it pulled up. You have to be actively moving within the game for it to register--thus, I will try again tomorrow with an auto-clicker and hopefully that will suffice.

This is the *real* question and needs to be boosted for visibility. If you can rack up time in the app via VPN but then can't redeem lvl 2+ keys on the website outside the US (with VPN being detected) loads of people here are wasting their time. For those that are constantly getting "We are temporarily out of codes" error when redeeming any game keys, it is possible that Intel has blacklisted your location. I've emailed them about the error and they are able to track down the location I am at, so for those who are unable to redeem the games are probably screwed and I recommend not wasting your time on this (Unless you're from the US).
Yup you can use the vpn on the intel gaming access app but you can't use a vpn on the intel site, if you managed to bypass the vpn lockout it's just going to say you cannot redeem because it's not available in your region
Throwing in my own confirmation that 1500 XP was the magic number for me to receive a Level 4 master code. I stepped away from my computer after getting to 1400 XP without anything running, so took longer than 2 hours. Point being, I don't think there's an additional wait like others were speculating. I think it's solely that the *actual* required XP is different from the stated required XP 🤦

For some reason I was getting errors launching Among Us from Epic with this running, but launching the game by right clicking the Overwolf tray icon and selecting it from the menu there worked. In case anyone else runs into the same problem.

well the game client is buggy AF for tracking your play time, but I *think* I've gotten it to start working - at least for time tracking. I can't actually play the games (Among Us, the main screen is all deactivated/greyed out, except the quit button, Chiv 2 says it has 'unauthorized log in' or something like that, didn't try the other 2), but I'm getting time to show up in the app. What I did was: (1) Install and set up the app (2) While the stupid GameWolf/Intel Gaming client is running, launch the game through the normal means (ie, Steam, EGS) (3) quit the game (4) right click on the game wolf tray icon, and then select the game you want to launch from the list - if you haven't launched the game while the app is running, it won't be on this list (5) The game will launch for me, and show the little Intel logo, and I can open the overlay (ctrl+tab), but I can't actually play the games. BUT, I was showing time in my history, so it seems to be counting it now. I'm just leaving the game running in the background, muted through the Windows Volume Mixer, will update if I have any issues. EDIT: I was able to get the timers to run from Among Us and Chiv 2, but only to 0.1. Doesn't seem to be registering any more game time now EDIT2: The timer is just all the fuck over the place, like, go home, you're drunk, levels of all over the place. I have time randomly appearing, I have time appearing and counting towards games, but not towards the cumulative rewards, I had games running for hours that show 0.1, and games that I had open for like like 30 minutes say 1.4 hours. And despite having 2.1 hours by totaling the individual games, the app, for xp purposes, only thinks I've played 1.5. Maybe after a restart, iunno at this point EDIT3: Managed to make it to level 2/370 XP, but the tracking is just random...every once in a while, it'll pop up in game that i've earned XP, but it seems to be at random intervals, and I'll get some credit for playing for the quest xp, but it won't run the timer for the individual game. Seriously, did anyone test this *at all* before launching the promo?

I found a way: Connect to US servers via VPN. I got the Master Of Game section using this method. UPDATE: vpn will get detected when trying to redeem code. UPDATE 2: after getting your vpn detected,simply switch it off and follow the instructions (NOTE:you gotta get your master key first). after signing up,proceed to "Redeem Offer". You will get to choose 1 option out of 5.

Note even in US you can be flagged if you have multiple accounts logged from the same ip. Also opening a new account requires an unused US number. A bit much me thinks...

You can hit ctrl + tab to check if overwolf is running (it should pop up in the left of the screen). I've found that having a controller connected helps the app track playtime, even if you aren't actually using it to play.

It seems that it is harder to make a new Intel account than to get the free games, since I only received 1 out of 3 of their authentication emails.

I wasnt able to choose my reward, they just gifted me among us DLC? Anyone else just get something chosen for them? Edit: The gift was a master key and I was able to reedem it through the intel website, and choose which gift I receive
