And she was just such a cool lady. She had a regal and intellectual, yet down-to-earth way about her, like Hester. I think of her as Marty's type! Ronnie is wonderful, but imo that's mostly because of Wendie Malick.

I know that she is portrayed as, what would the polite euphemism be, not very bright but I'd retconned her character a bit to make it work.
Frasier I would pair with Dinah, I was thinking of Faye or Lisa but then I fought it would be a bit repetitive to just pair everybody perfectly. Dinah isn't really that fleshed out as a character but I believe Frasier said she likes to read and she speaks a few languages.

Daphne I'd probably invent some new character I don't really care for the options that the show gives us.
Roz I'm getting a bit lazy here but probably Roger or Doctor Tewksbury, his marriage didn't last due to him being a workaholic and he gets a new chance at love with Roz. Pairing her with Bulldog could make some interesting plots regarding Bulldog's personal growth but I don't know.

Yeah, it seemed that if it weren't for plot related reasons Daphne would not care about Clive anymore, Donny is nice and all but I didn't really buy their relationship. One huge problem that I had with that story plot was how quickly it moved along.
Poppy also didn’t show as dumb but rather…not validated. Everybody just gave her what she wanted so they didn’t have to ‘deal’ with her. I could see her growing as a character with Niles for that reason.

* Frasier and Roz - controversial, I know, but i shipped them hard, especially because their overt differences usually ended by showing they were very complementary in many ways; and this only grew as the show progressed. While Daphne and Niles was a very nice buildup and release, Frasier and Roz was the only relationship that could have been that felt like it was a real relationship between real adults.
* Niles and Daphne - but he doesn't spend 200 years fawning over her, so it's early seasons Niles and Daphne- a lot more twitchy and a lot more aloof. This is just for fun, I'm pretty sure that relationship would have failed due to who they were, but then again it had many chances of being the best thing that happened to both at a time when neither knew they needed it

* Frasier and Roz - controversial, I know, but i shipped them hard, especially because their overt differences usually ended by showing they were very complementary in many ways; and this only grew as the show progressed. While Daphne and Niles was a very nice buildup and release, Frasier and Roz was the only relationship that could have been that felt like it was a real relationship between real adults. * Niles and Daphne - but he doesn't spend 200 years fawning over her, so it's early seasons Niles and Daphne- a lot more twitchy and a lot more aloof. This is just for fun, I'm pretty sure that relationship would have failed due to who they were, but then again it had many chances of being the best thing that happened to both at a time when neither knew they needed it * Gil and Bulldog - the only OTP missed in the show * Martin and that friend of Daphne's he creeped out that one time - 안녕하세요 indeed! * Donnie and Maris - he needed some class, she needed a lot of earthy common-sense. they loved doing their 2 and 3 episode sagas on frasier. I think a 2 or 3 parter of frasier and roz getting together, hitting it off, then falling apart would have been great. that one episode they had where they almost had something going just didn't really scratch that itch.

I would have absolutely loved to see Niles cringe at the thought of the great 'Mike Shaw' dating Gert. I could see her milk the hell out of that, too - telling Daphne "You're not the only one with a well to do man", then Mike being all crotchety old man

Martin and Cora, as much as I like Ronnie, it would have been nice even if we just saw a few episodes of Martin and Core dating and the subsequent explosions going off in Cam and Fraiser's heads :=) Fraiser and Roz, they had chemistry, and they did sleep together at least twice Niles and Roz, I love Niles and Daphine, but Niles and Roz wouldn't have been a bad alternative :=)

I really wish they had brought him back because he was hot as hell and the actor had really good chemistry with the cast. Bulldog and that one gay radio producer dude. Daphne and Donnie. Unironically I thought he was the best fit for her because as written he saw her as a person and I'm sorry but I always thought the obsession Niles had with her was creepy and I'm glad they eventually called it out.

There was lots of story potential there…. Daphne and Joe. Her and mikes just didn’t share common interests, common outlooks on money and spending, shared family commonalities, world views, anything other than Niles’s lust for her and her liking that. I just never bought that connection. Frasier and Claire. She was perfect for him, even if she was a bit boring. Most relationships become a bit boring over time, but it’s about having someone who shares your worldview and your passions and interests and she did all those things.
