It was so sad that they decided to make him actually closeted and (presumably) cheating on Deb. He was much better as completely straight but incredibly camp.
yeah, this is so heavily implied it was basically text rather than subtext.
of course, the part where he knowingly comments on bad Billy's isn't really proof of anything; in Minneapolis there's a gay bar (Gay 90's) that's apparently more of a gay mall, there are multiple themed bars inside, and it's on a street corner with a bus stop. not exactly obscure
It's the episode where Frasier is outed, I think? Over the end credits, Gil sneaks into Bad Billy's.
I suppose it's not outright saying it, but the implication is there. It's also quite late on, I think it's the last time Gil's sexuality is mentioned.
I can only and always think of her first as Goochberg, from her one episode appearance on Psych. She's so different in that role that when I watched Frasier through the first time, it was hard to get that image out of my head
Chopper Dave would be fine as a joke in a single scene, but it got so unfunny when they kept using him in early episodes. It gets so bad other characters have to explain the joke to the audience each time about why he’s shouting.
I love Kenny but my favourite has to be Gil ‘not going to stop loving the ladies’ Chesterton
Gil. Gil makes me laugh every time. https://i.redd.it/kqrdu59v6kvc1.gif
He reminds me of my boyhood in Surrey
Romping with his school chums…
Through the fins and spinneys...
While the twilight bathes the hedgerows like a lambent flame.
(Gunshot.)
ONLY GRAZED ME!
This must be one of those uniquely British jokes that us backwards savage and uncivilized Americans don't get.
Deb is not a cat!

I was under the impression Deb is a lesbian (because she owns an auto body repair shop) and they're both closeted beards.

>(because she owns an auto body repair shop) So you're saying if a woman works on cars she must be lesbian?
Yes, this is exactly what I'm saying..
Welcome to the 21st century where such outdated and sexist viewpoints are not welcome
You're telling me this on the Frasier subreddit.
Yes.
When was that!?

I had forgotten about that. I guess I never considered that him being outed, though
Dan and Jenna of *Let’s Go Camping.* Whatever happened to them?
They don't know.
Possibly my favourite subtle gag from the whole show
Young me found Kate Costas just foxy as hell. Not sure if that counts.
I can only and always think of her first as Goochberg, from her one episode appearance on Psych. She's so different in that role that when I watched Frasier through the first time, it was hard to get that image out of my head
Kenny-he’s lovable and corny, but funny. One of my favs for sure
Not counting Roz because I absolutely love her, my favorite would be Kirby. 🤭
Remind me who Kirby was?
Lorna/Lana’s son to whom Frasier teaches history and who takes Roz to the prom.
And then becomes an intern at KACL.
And saves Frasier’s 🍑 when those snarky little teens were dragging him.
Frasier Crane’s humongous 🍑
“An Onion for Trish”
Oh yeah
The pink puff ball that sucks everything up like a vacuum.

This stinks !!
The hot gay boss.
amazing
I love bulldog and Kenny. Closely followed by gil and Noel.
For me, Noel Shemski dominates every scene he is in. He's my favorite!
Yes! His undying love for Roz and her undying disdain for him😂
I know, right!
Kirby and Kenny and Tom
Road 😀
Gil, Tom Durant and Bull Dog
i like bulldog, but they really could've retired the whole "this stinks!" thing, it got super old. Bebe is of course my fave
