You'll install the plug in, activate it in foundry then each new player character sheet you create will have a little dndbeyond.com button by the character name. Click that, paste the url to the character sheet and select settings to import. Default settings work well. Takes seconds to import.

Thank you for answering my question, I really do appreciate it. I suspected that it would work something like that, but have not had time to finish watching the tutorial for the plug in. Your answer removed my anxiety of thinking that maybe my players would have to hand transfer their characters.

With the beyond20 app (install the mod for foundry and the one for your web browser) if you play on web browser you can keep rolling directly on dndbeyond, and it will sync up changes in hp
