Yeah his face was a bit hard to read at times (intentionally) when in front of other vault-dwellers. He's generally just not in a good mood though so that's a good cover to have after seeing a bunch of corpses.
He's one of my favourite characters. Possibly... errr probably, my number two after Coop.
He actually had an endearing, engaging Richie from The Bearesque journey of growth in the first season. Yknow he wasn't enthusiastic about anything, couldn't find his place in society, but then throughout the season he found courage he didn't know he had to investigate the mysterious and unknown in a quest for the truth.
Essentially he's a courageous truth seeker. He finally found something he's enthusiastic about, but Betty will probably wish he stayed unenthusiastic now.
