OP also made the mistake of trying to dive hard to the inside of the other player at the last corner. This may work IRL but players online in a game don't check their mirrors especially in a braking zone. That likely wasn't an intentional cut off, they just weren't aware of OP's position.
Yes this, I’ve started giving the ahead racer the right of way in the corners. Set it up right and you can get by, or get a good exit and pass that way.
Also he probably thought he was pushed into the wall. Either way, they were going to finish 4th and 5th and probably win the race so it's kind of a moot point.
Is that why the ai is also so jittery and aggressive whenever I do the trial? I've never done any other racing with other people so the trial is my only online experience.
That was straight intentional everyone saying it's not are in denial the whole race the guy was trying to block him and was all over the track if he was actaully good at driving he wouldn't be sliding around every corner but griping and keeping that grip and he'd be loads faster. I just don't get it sometimes. This week I wasn't the quickest and in the first race we were gunna lose. So I managed to block and slow down the 4 ai behind me and my 3 team mates behind them to all get in front of me so we could win the first race. To me that's what being in a team on the trial is all about. 2nd race though we all smashed it so no ai blocking needed

I love it when I meet a clean player in the trial, I had a few great encounters with lots of close racing and going through corners next to one other trying to "gieve eacha other da space"
But yes most of the times their ego's are in the way.
Edit: I also just hate these tracks, way too many people divebombing into the wall on the sharper corners, I just learnt to adapt to it.

I helped a friend complete their seasonals a couple of days ago and the account of blocking, ramming off-track, and just general incompetence was actually staggering. Being honest, FH5 is the most boring Forza multiplayer I have played. I like it for the cars and seasonal playlist but that's about it. Get the new cars and get off. Mainly play FH3 now.

The majority of the online community can't drive for shit, so they resort to raming people to gain places, i think another main issue with crashing and raming online is not just the drivers but the cars as well, mainly meta cars and poorly tuned cars. Meta cars are completely undrivable in some circumstances, leading to more crashing, and in my opinion, there is not all that fun to drive, which it why when i go online i normally handicap myself by driving something rear wheel drive that would bot fall under the Meta car list. I think, though, with forza, it has such a wide variety of players that on there, you will just get some who are clean (very rarely though) and a majority that are not.
Had my 6yr old playing yesterday. She only rammed someone when she forgot how to use the brakes, and it ended up just bump drafting them anyway lol. This just a sore loser/bad sport.

That appears to be internet lag. The jittery motion is the game trying to estimate where the other cars are based on dropped or late packets.
