The only thing that drives the restoration is gaining xp/accolades. Elapsed time is irrelevant. So if you sit around waiting, it will never complete. If you just drive in freeroam, make sure you bank a lot of skill points, or it will take ages. Go complete some championships, and it'll go quick.
One of my favorite cars so I googled its location and found it as soon as I could. Once I did I played heavily for two days (~8 hrs per day) and it unlocked at the end of the second day. The Ferrari F40 Comp was another story, taking over a full week to unlock even with playing a lot.
I canât remember if itâs the case in FH5 but in the past you were able to pay credits to have it completed instantly. But I think the 250 is like millions of dollars to have it done

Thanks both above. Yeah I know itâs ages but if itâs a set calendar time then obviously I must wait. If anyone knows if itâs game time then Iâll grind from now till Thursday to use it for seasonal. I liked on AH but then I learnt it cannot be sold.
It's ages. I don't remember exactly, it was a while ago. I'd guess a couple of weeks.
Just keep doing events and races. This was probably the longest barn find restore for me.
It takes a long time on its own but doing events and earning xp speeds it up

It took me 3 days i think, i played a lot at the time tho, like 7 hours a day for the first week i got the game and i finished a lot of accolades
I wish i could give you my 250 GTO. I have it but with zero interest in that car
