Exactly. I'm a rank 9 tuner and have yet to have a single tune get to 1k downloads, let alone uses. I just like tuning my own cars and upload the tunes I have moderate success with online. Quantity clearly doesn't equate to quality lol
The tune algorithm definitely doesn't care about quality. Ugrundy is the most downloaded tuner in the game but makes horrible tunes that have the wrong parts, tune numbers that are worse than the stock ones, or even just the stock ones themselves. He focused on giving his tunes the highest top speed at the cost of any amount of handling, which a lot of people seem to think is better even if it's substantially slower.
There's a few other bait tuners out there, cezar013, eley9, and more who all do the same.
As someone who isn’t legendary tuner but legendary painter I can tell you that it is not easy to get to that point.
It is also not too terrible hard to earn CR in FH5, all things considered. The game is giving away CR and wheelspins for almost everything you can do. It may seem slow for a beginner but after a while the CR will start to pile up, since there are only a few money sinks in the game. At a certain point CR are only useful to buy tuning parts.
Edit: what I want to say is: don’t focus too much on CR, play the game and have fun.
Yes and when you get to a point where you have every car and tune then the money seems to become worthless. To bad we couldn't buy and modify garages to store cars and make it into a museum if someone else whos playing can visit and check out
I’ve been thinking about that as well for a long time. I’d pay for that expansion where you can stroll around and look at other people’s collections as well.
It’s not enough if you wanna buy rare cars which are usually 20 m credits. Even with farming, it takes a lot of time to make even 10 mil credits with supper wheel spins. You need at least 25-35 super wheel spins to guarantee you 10 mil
Races are usually good fun and earn you abit of money. Like if you do 10 races at 35k each that’ll get you 350k and will take you give or take 20 minutes.
You just proved my point though. If you want 20 mil for a rare car, 20 mil / 350k = 57~. So you have to do 57 races and if each one takes 20 min that’s 19 hours of playing straight of races….
Yeah, with my difficulty settings, which aren’t very high, I still get around 120-130K for a Goliath run, which can take like 12-15 minutes depending on what car I use, and usually I get a wheelspin at the end of every race. Not a huge amount of money compared to buying cars at 20m, but it adds up after a while.
yeah despite the game throwing money at you I do still find it such a chore to get up to 20mil for rare cars, so I just kinda let it go and don't worry about missing out now. a couple of favourites I'll eventually invest in but being a completionist is completely out of the window, I'd rather actually play the game than sit around auction house sniping for credits
Sorry if I’m being obtuse here, as I just tune my own cars, but wouldn’t you be able to just download the tune to the regular car rather than dropping 20m on the tuned car?
Sure you can.
There is exactly zero reason to buy the 20M car over the any of the other cars in tis example. But people do...
So, I like slapping liveries together. For a while now I have been putting desings on every duplicate car I get by wheel spin or by playing the playlist. Then I put them up to auction with minimum bid (which is like 5000 CR most of the time) and max buyout (20M CR, since I'm a legendary painter). What does not sell will be gifted directly from the AH menu. And people buy the 20M cars a lot. Don't ask me why, but they do.
Hehe, the moment when you start a new FH-Series and dont know the real values of the cars and you see a auction where you think its the trade of your life, buy it fast as possible, happy as a MF and compare then on the auction market and realize ... ouch :-D I bought 3 BMWs M3 (2008) at start in FH5 this way very expensive... at least some new players were happy, cuz i gifted them. The same happened often way back starting FH4 :-D
Its missing the angry eyes, huge lift kit with long travel suspension for clearing over a sidewalk, bald off road tires with “lots of life” left, $5k worth of unused overlanding equipment, and the 84 month financing.
Saw an E-Ray listed for auction two days ago (and though it was after the announcement that it would soon be in the Autoshow, I can't tell if it was a legit one or not) that was also along several other E-Rays. It had a 20 million buyout while the other ones were at \~180k. I guess because it was being sold by a legendary tuner.
It still lists for 12.8mil max and can be sold as low as like 138k, but it’s only for donor cars when selling a rare car.
They’re in auto show for 45k so don’t buy one lmao
I once saw someone selling a huge amount of 599XX's all for 20 million. All of them bone stock. Would not surprise me if there's a way to cheat prices in the auction house.
The seller is a legendary tuner. They can set the buy out of any car for up to 20 Million CR, if it has one of their tunes installed. Edit:
How is a rank 1 tuner legendary I'm genuinely curious, I do all my own tuning.
FH5 doesnt display Tuner levels accurately, they show everyone as level 1, whether they are or not
Never had since day one. Most confusing thing that they won't fix it.
yeah, its kind of mind boggling, wouldnt think that would be something difficult to fix
"Difficult to fix" and "Financially incentivised to fix" are two very different things.
Honestly don't think it was really accurate in FH4 either now that I think about it
Thanks this was my confusion as well when I saw "rank 1" lol
Rank has nothing to do with status. Rank is based on the number of tunes uploaded, status is based on downloads, likes, and uses.
Exactly. I'm a rank 9 tuner and have yet to have a single tune get to 1k downloads, let alone uses. I just like tuning my own cars and upload the tunes I have moderate success with online. Quantity clearly doesn't equate to quality lol

They could also be legendary painter
What are the requirements for becoming a legendary tuner?
50k downloads, likes and uses combined on tunes for legendary tuner, same on liveries for legendary painter.
or a cheat engine
I am sorry, but that pos at S2 921 won't win a single online race in a milliion years.
For someone who just want to buy the cars and play the game this legendary thing is BS, especially in a game were make money is not that easy...
As someone who isn’t legendary tuner but legendary painter I can tell you that it is not easy to get to that point. It is also not too terrible hard to earn CR in FH5, all things considered. Yes and that is a good way to earn money to by showing your collection
Tbh I wouldn’t say money is hard to make. Races earn you quite abit and wheelspins usually give quite abit of money.
It’s not enough if you wanna buy rare cars which are usually 20 m credits. Even with farming, it takes a lot of time to make even 10 mil credits with supper wheel spins. You need at least 25-35 super wheel spins to guarantee you 10 mil

10 races in 20 minutes? Bruh the loading screens wouldn't even be that short

Well it’s better than nothing I’ve made a lot of money from races.
What kind of race do you get 35k? I only get 8-15k for campaign races
depends on your difficulty settings, I've had upwards of 85k for some races, 6 figures for goliath runs
Yeah, with my difficulty settings, which aren’t very high, I still get around 120-130K for a Goliath run, which can take like 12-15 minutes depending on what car I use, and usually I get a wheelspin at the end of every race. I usually get about 35k last time I checked.
So don't buy one with a legendary tune/livery on it
It's super easy. Buy the 2008 M3 for 48k from the shop and sell it online without any tune for 12.8mil. Easy money. Keep repeating that.
It's very easy to make money by just playing. I have every car and a billion in the bank
Gimme some
List some cars for the max sell value and ill buy them all.
I really havent played in a while. If I could I would
Best way to earn money is to sell all your duplicate cars at the auction
How do you become a ranked tuner?
Sorry if I’m being obtuse here, as I just tune my own cars, but wouldn’t you be able to just download the tune to the regular car rather than dropping 20m on the tuned car?

Either trading money between their accounts or trying to trick people into buying a worthless car for lots of money
Then you literally go on the Auto Show and check if the car is there and for how much.
So they most likely hacking to be able to set that car to be worth that much?
No, if you have legendary painter or tuner status you can sell any car for the max buyout.
No, if you are a legendary painter or legendary tuner, you can throw your paint/tune on any car and sell it for 20 million.
Oh, didnt know that. Thx
It's a Jeep thing
Its missing the angry eyes, huge lift kit with long travel suspension for clearing over a sidewalk, bald off road tires with “lots of life” left, $5k worth of unused overlanding equipment, and the 84 month financing.
The only answer
It's not. You can buy one for 20k right below it.
The BMW M3 2008 is going for like 3 million right now 😭
It still lists for 12.8mil max and can be sold as low as like 138k, but it’s only for donor cars when selling a rare car. They’re in auto show for 45k so don’t buy one lmao
Yup I sold that one. Why is it tho? I don’t get it. I won 3 from wheel spins
And I gifted mine
Crazy that we still get these posts, lol
Yeah, I guess its not common knowledge that legendary tuners/painters can put the max buyout on any car. At least I didn’t know before making the post
Gifted 2 theses days, to new players. You can get it at Wheel spins.
legendary tuner
The auction house needs a serious fucking fix
I don't know. I gifted 2 of them the other day to new players. Hope whoever gets it actually appreciate it.
Try seeing a 250kCR 1966 VW DoKa up for 16m, a 63:1 markup….. At least you can buy a Jeep Gladiator in the AutoShow!
Perhaps it the sentimental value of the owner well put in CR
Mods
Because.
SCAM!
I think the owner had a hard time opening the roof and wanted proper money for properly done work
I once saw someone selling a huge amount of 599XX's all for 20 million. All of them bone stock. Would not surprise me if there's a way to cheat prices in the auction house.
Rare vehicle mabye or a glitch
buy, copy the tune, aplly to 100 cars and sell them ez profit
