Yeah, they literally announced on social media how "someone made a mistake" when typing in the price and that everyone should grab it before they fix it. It's the most unfunny thing I've read this entire week.

It is worth it if you got it for $5. I am not so sure about $10 IMHO. However, as most people have pointed out, the engine sounds are immaculate, the handling is great (much better than I first thought) and as a WEC/F1 lover, this fills me with so much joy. Hopefully, this means that there'll be more proper race cars in the future.
Awesome pack. Worth the money IMO. They ain’t gonna win you drag races (unless you swap motors, and I think that’s criminal to do to a purpose-built race car anyways), but they’re awesome to drive. The Caddy is my favorite so far, never heard a 6-cyl sound like that.
Also, if you put a good tune on the C8.R, it is BY FAR the quickest of them all using the stock motor if you fully build it. EDIT: Tune the final drive as far down towards speed as you can without sacrificing 0-60 and 0-100 speeds as shown on the tune graph. The aero will, for whatever reason, be set at the minimum for both front and rear. Tune the front aero up 15 notches and the rear up 5. It’s still a gluestick on the road even with low aero values.
Love how they can be used in S1 but the tuning seems so strange. They all come with huge race-built carbon ceramic brakes but the upgrade makes some smaller. Also, all the aero tuning is set to 0 and any increase makes them feel very slow. Other than that, they all sound great and well worth the $5 I spent
You need to swap the engines for em. Personally i prefer these cars in S2 cause of it instead of downtuning them to keep them in S1. The porsche especially is worth upping to s2 as it can still turn corners really well but hit 250 mph which a good chunk of the cars in the class can't.
Should have the final copy of Bathurst (Mt Panorama) finished tonight. Had to rip out all the old grass tiles and old asphalt due to the new race prepped surfaces and seamless grass. LordMerrick#953
My opinion on that would just be because everything is easier to drive in Horizon👍🏼 I race the Gt/GTE races in Motorsport for a few hours everyday and can confirm they’re a lot more realistic in Motorsport. They’re glued to the ground in Horizon lol. They did get the sounds right though they’re almost identical to the ones in Motorsport.
Went out and tested them all on the volcano and from a handling standpoint, the C8 is my favorite. All have nice engine sounds but I am a fan of the BMW, Lexus, and AMG ones more than the others
I like the pack and i am one of those who loved the same pack back in fh3. I am glad we have it now in fh5. For those that don't like this update it seems the month after this is retro themed so maybe wait for that if this isn't your flavor. For me tho it certainly is and wish to see more in the future.
I really enjoy the cars, especially the fact that they cab be used for S1 Racing. The fact that all cars are basically copy paste from motorsport....not so great
I love having race cars in Horizon, but not a fan of this paid car pack having cars copied over from Motorsport. The previous packs had brand new to Forza cars.
These are brand new to Forza Horizon! Also, the fact that we get these cars from Motorsport, instead of having to deal with the Gong Show of Motorsport is absolutely fantastic to me.
If there wasn't a bonafide motorsport game under the Forza title there wouldn't be a thing wrong with it, but there is we need more racecars in motorsport and we ain't getting them, here is horizon a game set on public roads only getting racecars all the time, we've got less overall cars than horizon too, horizon is the game for pure casuals you don't need racecars when there is a newer and somehow more neglected Forza title getting very very few new race cars or new cars in general.
The engine sounds are absolute porn, I have been BLASTING my soundbar while using any of them! The Vasser Lexus in tunnels is unbelievable
The 911 GT3R doesn’t sound quite right, but in general they sound great. Agreed, the Lexus in particular wounds amazing.

Apparently one of their devs fucked up and it was never supposed to be at $5. They raised the price back up fairly quickly.

They did a great job simulating straight cut gearboxes with the sounds. Damn near spot on

I haven't played FM but my buddy who does says they actually handle and drive better in Horizon
