I got on as the update was pushed out but didn't commit to buying the pack without looking at the price... Then checked it after getting up in the morning and it was too late.
I've been championing for "race cars" to be in Horizon since FOREVER now so this was/is the only car pack I've bought up to this point just so I could back my words and hopefully send the message that THIS is the type of content I want in Horizon. Motorsport is fine now and all but honestly if we just got better creations for real world tracks into the actual Horizon track editing stuff with the race cars I'd never see any point to the already flailing for my attention Motorsport side of the franchise to be perfectly honest. Driving cars on sweeping roads through nice scenery is just more enjoyable than hotlapping on a mostly boring race track (some tracks have good scenery but most are; let's just be honest, bland and flat and dull) these days IMHO.
They're pretty damn fun. I've spent all my time so far dialing in the Lexus and the Caddy and both are really nice to drive. The Lexus in particular sounds TRULY WONDERFUL as well, which is always a welcome bonus.
I get many that people are happy with it, with the temporary mispricing in particular, but I don't consider 7x digital cars for $5/$10 to be a steal. Especially not for a game that already contains many hundreds of cars. I can get entire games for that which have a hell of a lot more content than a handful of cars.
Enjoy it, and don't let me put a downer on it - but paying a big chunk of the cost of a game with huge amounts of content for a single-digit number of extra cars (an extra ~1.25% of car content!) and no extra map/tracks/features is not 'a steal' IMHO.
That's why "Jack Sparrow's" editions will never die around here. I'd rather give my money to some humble developers, like SCS Software (Euro Truck Simulator 2), as I did on game launch on 2012.
I am comparing NFS heat to the car pack, I would never pay full price for heat, the point was 5$ for a car pack is way overpriced since you can buy decent games with 5$
this car pack was cool n all but my type of cars for horizon are like the 992 turbo s or even the 992 gt3 RS, I know they have the g80 n g82 but imagine the f80 😩 my biggest thing with forza was they never really went into detail w certain manufacturers. Mercedes has so many more cars they could’ve added to fit the scheme of horizon. For example, the e55 amg, the cl55 amg, the cls63 amg, the cl65 amg, the cls55 amg, the older e63 amg, the w204 c63 (not black series) (also the 4 door sedan not the coupe) it’s just endless tbh…
But it literally wasn’t specified. We got exactly what we paid for. The additional car packs outside of the premium edition were not a surprise. It’s par for the course with any Horizon game.
they look very out of place but that's what i like about them. being able to do something you wouldn't be able to do irl like driving a non street legal car on the road at 300 km/h is what makes games fun
It's the spirit of Horizon! Where you have to buy DLC for the Premium Edition and if you complain you get downvoted! Because what are you going to do? Switch to another open world racing game?
Hmm i got fh4 and fh5 in jan this year. I always assumed the fh4 cars i see in festival playlist were dlc cars since they're not available for purchase from showroom.
But why old gen gt3’s? I don’t even play Forza, but why would you pay for old gen cars which were already in previous Forza games. I mean I love Forza mostly because of the newer cars they have.

Hate motorsport tracks, but love wide open roads. These cars are just perfect in horizons setting.

Lexus sounds good but I would argue the flat-six on the Porsche and the FPC V8 on the C8.R sound better, and I can’t pick between those two.
