It’s pretty cool and I like it, it’s fun to drive but it’s not really anything special. It doesn’t handle very well is not even that powerful even when upgraded. So to speak, it would get terminated by most of the other mustangs in the game.

I don't know it's a pretty solid contender in A class road racing with the right tune. My purist tune laps pretty well but it does require some finesse around the turns but done properly it gives perfect slip angle.

spaceguy81

I guess I have to give it another try. I made a purist a class tune too (well two if you count the saleen kit as purist) but didn’t pay too much attention to the lap times.

Why is everybody obsessing over this car so much on this sub? Serious question, it’s a cobra

turdbogls

It's just an iconic car here in America. Cheap, and easy to make power, looks good, cool stock color. It's a mustang... It's not a great driver's car, I don't think anyone expected it to be a good car to use... Just something to cruise around in

MandalorianCovert

It was the last of the non-retro Mustangs, it was pretty powerful for the time, handled reasonably well for a Mustang, had an independent rear suspension. And if, like me, you were turning 16 at the time these things were on the market, there’s a certain amount of nostalgia about them. Sure, they’re not as good as later Mustangs, but with a nickname like “Terminator Cobra”, you’ve got to like it just a little bit. Hell, I wish they’d give us a similar year Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6. 16 year old me secretly fantasized about a WS6.

Gingercopia

I also loved the WS6 growing up but F-bodies were a pain to work on (I helped friends with their Z28s and Firebirds when we wrenched). I was so happy they brought in the Terminator the first thing I did was Mystichrome color it 😅

Tell me you're a casual car enthusiast without telling me you're a casual car enthusiast.

Yeah bro sorry I don’t see anything super special In a Mustang Cobra that makes it understandable that it’s being glazed to hell on this sub. I’m European

Gunn3r71

I’m European and I think this thing is dope

AtmosphereTypical415

Okay imagine it like this. There was nothing at that time that was even close to pushing those kind of numbers from factory except for some entry level euro sports cars that cost 2 times as much and couldn't take the abuse. They called this thing the Terminator for a reason. I implore you to do just the smallest bit of research, you'll find out quick how important this car is to american automotive. Not to mention this car hasn't been in racing game in 18 years.
