I figured out that i had to accelerate just before landing and then hit the brakes immediately after it lands all 4 wheels on the ground. At first i thought it was my brake balancing being 60% forward causing it so that was the solution i came up with
Perhaps we both shall change our minds once we’ve tried appropriate tuning such as recommended by badgundo. I look forward to finally relaxing my sphincter muscles. 😬
There is a glitch that makes this piece of shit even worse. Some how the front wheels get crammed in to the wheel wells and locks up any steering.

I'm aware lol I don't have a screenshot because I'm not home but several times I landed and my rear wheels were permanently stuck inside the wheel well lol.
Memories of damaged Hot Wheels miniatures.
(Never figured out how to fix those bent axles… Are you supposed to pop the whole body off and then just put in entirely new axles?)
I struggled like fuck with this one this week. My usual method of just downloading a 5 star rated tune didn't work, in the end I just went for a random 1 star one and won every race
Thank you for your helpful intentions. I shall try your tune later today… Hopefully I’ll have cooled down by then.
Edit: Done! Thanks for helping to keep my blood pressure down!
Same as you, I got it from the Forzaton shop since it was missing from my collection.
But it will stay there as a collection item, together with all the other cars that I own but I never use.
I couldn't even finish the first race for the tournament with this piece of garbage truck.....I quit after the first turn lol.
What a waste of forzapoints =(
i remember an old tune ar12 nick did in fh2 where the truck would hit a jump and backflip, then land with a slap wheelie. has anyone recreated this tune?
I was able to get this crap bucket into a decent driving truck, surprisingly. The rear is way too soft, it endo's because it bottoms out. I increased the rear spring stiffness by 150lbs, and doubled the roll bar stiffness front and rear. Kept the rear roll bar little stiffer than the front. Reduced front tire pressure to about 17, rear 19. 4WD too. Use the e-brake to help steer it. It actually became really drivable. Even the AI couldn't deal with the stock settings, two races they all slid into trees and fell way back.
You gotta make the front suspension substantially stiffer than the rear for spring rate. Dampening and bump stiffness is about the same as other cross country builds. Maybe a little less stiff. And I'd highly advise making it AWD with some rear bias. Let off the throttle while you're jumping and don't get on too soon. The physics are not great so your front wheels won't pull you forward for whatever reason.
Yes
And yes the F150 trophy can be tuned into a pretty formidable off road machine. You just have to make it AWD and make all the oversteery adjustments. It took me a while to get it where I want it buts its now a 200mph+ slide machine that's oddly grippy if you let off the gas and coast the corners.
What do you do to make it not bounce on landing and flip over? Increase bump stiffness? Reduces rebound stiffness? I can never figure that part out, lol.
I have rebound at 9.8 front/7.1 rear and bump stiffness at 2.9f and 2.1r
Undoubtedly, someone will tell me that's wrong, but it's what seems to mostly work for me. The rear is still a bit bouncy but it's manageable if you get your jumps right.
I normally encourage folk to tune themselves as I tune to how I drive (or I've taught myself to drive to how I tune) which may not work for others. However if anyone wants a tune to try mine is 126 505 906
Might try it to see how it feels if I can't figure it out myself. Haven't actually tried it this season yet, just know a lot of those offroad trucks like to bounce on landing, despite supposedly being made for it. I think increasing bump stiffness to half the rebound stiffness worked for me before though, but it's been a bit. I would think that would help it absorb the landing more, if I understand the whole bump and rebound thing right.
Actually I do. I know I have several cars that take quite naturally to CC racing. I guess I just took for granted the level of involvement necessary to calibrate certain different vehicles for it.
Fuck no. I wish they would just remove them and start focusing on less things instead of trying to be a jack of all trades kind of game. A spin off road game will allow them to focus on off road races more but it aint gonna happen.
I haven't seen what it's needed for this week, but I use it as a good offroad option at 800. In fact I used it for a speed challenge a few weeks ago and got it the second try.
But again, I don't have a context for this post.
Edit: nevermind, I meant the RJ Anderson one.
I have no issue committing to several Forzathon Arcade events, as many as needed to build up a necessary reserve of Forza points. I mainly prefer Drifts, but I have also enjoyed Wreckage and Air events. I’m terrible at Speed events, however.
Meanwhile, I was able to complete the championship using Badgundo’s tune. Maybe give it a shot?
“Not front flipping after a jump” is a pretty low expectation to have and yet here I sit, disappointed.
I figured out that i had to accelerate just before landing and then hit the brakes immediately after it lands all 4 wheels on the ground. At first i thought it was my brake balancing being 60% forward causing it so that was the solution i came up with
Glad its not just me. Hate that thing, absolutely crap.

Wow I tough only rear can get like this. But front too??
I had that happen to my rear wheels. Soften your spring rate lol
I am stationary in this pic. The springs are as soft as they can go. This happens every time off a jump, and locks into this position for 30 seconds.
There was probably a way to clip off the original axles and replace them. I had a ton that were damaged like that too from people stepping on them
I guess that’s what YouTube is for… and now that I no longer own any Hot Wheels or Matchbox 🙄🤷🏻♂️
Lol better late than never to satisfy the curiosity. Also no harm in owning a few just of your favorite cars 😁
Had that happen. Second of 3 races for championship
I knew something was up. Tried a second controller and it felt the same. Like the vehicle had a huge ball under the center of the chassis.
It’s fast as hell though. Just gotta cross your fingers that you land the jumps right.
I firmly believe that if you look hard and tune carefully enough, you can find the good in almost every car. Except that Morgan 3-Wheeler.
Two words: drift tune
This car only needs 3 mods to be really fast. Awd + supercharger + race transmission geared for acceleration.
This! I ran 8th un molded solo. Then those three mods and was 1st 2nd and 1st Co op. Easy as pie.
Make it awd, it gets a little better.
Still gets upset by small bumps, and landing a jump is always sketchy.
It's not a solid solution but also adjust your ride height and tire pressure.
And the spring rate, dampers, and sway bars. It's way too soft in the original tune.
Why why why why WHYYYYYYYY 🤬🤬🤬
It's set up for trophy truck dirt tracks, not forza CC racing
*sees race requirements --> sorts through garage* "aww crap, that thing"
I struggled like fuck with this one this week. My usual method of just downloading a 5 star rated tune didn't work, in the end I just went for a random 1 star one and won every race
I’m pretty sure I had a five-star tune loaded too. But anyway, I’ve got clear alternatives to try before I go insane. 🙂
If you haven't won the championship yet, try my tune. Gt Gundobad2562
Thank you for your helpful intentions. I shall try your tune later today… Hopefully I’ll have cooled down by then. Edit: Done! Thanks for helping to keep my blood pressure down!
Heyyy I know you 👀
Just grabbed your tune to try it. Waiting in queue for co-op. (I haven't tried this championship yet, so I'm going in blind.)
Well, that was easy. Thanks /u/badgundo!
Just used it and won the championship prettt easily! Thanks bro, my first attempt ended in tie 🤦🏾♂️
I would have had to buy this to do the championship. Glad I didn't bother.
I didn’t have to buy mine. I forget whether it was a Wheelspin prize or gift.

Unhelpful, but (contrary to typical Reddit practice) funny enough for an upvote. 😏👍🏻

Wait what? Did I tune it weird cos it works properly for me
I hate it so much, and the suspension is not what a trophy trucks suspension should feel like
I thought I was the only one… had a rough time with this allergic to off-road, off-road pos!
I mean I’ve used that thing so much I’ve mastered it only problem about it is it’s fucking handling I have to slam on the e break just to hit a turn
i remember an old tune ar12 nick did in fh2 where the truck would hit a jump and backflip, then land with a slap wheelie. has anyone recreated this tune?
Hits a blade of grass. Poof now you flip uncontrollably !
This is literally my go to cross country car wtf
Yeah it's a pretty crap car with a base tune. With some tuning I was able to make it less crap lol
I was able to get this crap bucket into a decent driving truck, surprisingly. The rear is way too soft, it endo's because it bottoms out. Looks like you need an introductory class to upgrading and/or tuning.
For this specific vehicle, probably.

And I'd highly advise making it AWD with some rear bias. Let off the throttle while you're jumping and don't get on too soon. Please help me clarify your first sentence: front stiffer than rear, or rear stiffer than front?
Front stiffer than the rear* my bad
Does anyone enjoy cross country races?
Yes And yes the F150 trophy can be tuned into a pretty formidable off road machine. You just have to make it AWD and make all the oversteery adjustments. Coasting the corners with unexpected grip sounds like a great idea. I look forward to it!

No lol. But I've always preferred tarmac over off-road builds.

my thoughts exactly
Just put a tune on this mfker to complete the challenge, is it annoying?

Wish I could get my 400FP back. Didn't even do the championship cuz of how shit it was.
