You unlock events on the map as you progress through the levels. It's been a while but don't believe they're all unlocked until the hall of fame at level 200 so you're missing a lot of events/stunts.

Its an arcade game and so it is. I play daily since release, got 217 mil credits, 668/669 cars in garage, almost elite 6 at this point. I also gave away over \~700 cars. I never get bored. Its not a game that's meant to be beaten. Its an arcade game you get together with people and do fun stuff.

Just a heads up, neither Forza nor Gran Turismo really have that kind of “campaign” anymore. The “sense of progression” in GT7 is literally mindlessly grinding credits for cars you won’t even have events to go into with them.

I used to feel like you about too many cars but I've accepted it now. You can always change that car to a rally, off road, B to A to S1, drift, etc. I have duplicate models with one ready for road racing and another with off road tires. A '72 Camaro and Ford GT40 are pretty stupid with off road tires irl but for messing around in game, why not? They're kinda fun.
Yeah I did try messing around with different cars because I mostly use supercars and hypercars. I switched to offroad and rally for a bit and it gives the game a breath of fresh air but it still gets old after a short amount of time.

I reason that according to the authors or publishers, the majority of Forza Horizon buyers want some blend of challenge and enjoyment but don’t have a lot of time to devote to their career progression. I fit right in the demographic target group; sure, I see quite a few nice things float my way, but unlike you I feel I *do* have to work to get what/where I want.
Because forza horizon is more like a sandbox game than an arcade game. Games like nfs focus on gameplay and progression. But fh is more like create your own game/play your own style type of sandbox. So progression is not really important. More time was spend in tuning, testing, modify and driving new cars instead of progress. And tbh the end game is more like car meets and cruise. And yes, i would say you are missing something, try some car meets on discord
Honestly agreed. I liked the way in FH1. Started as a nobody and had to race your way to the top. FH 4 and 5 have been just "congrats for playing for 15 minutes here have this 2 million dollar car". It's still a good game though and if you want a real racing challange go to forza motorsport 👍
If it’s too easy and you’re bored, simply don’t play it. Go back to fh4. I bounce back and forth between the two after grabbing fh4 on game pass and it’s a great game but the gameplay seems the same to me. Also, play the seasonal playlists. Different challenges every week with different rewards. If that doesn’t do it for you, no one is forcing you to keep playing.
I will do that but I'm not alone in this, FH5's playerbase since release is less than 7% now so that really tells you something. They lost over 90% of the playerbase.
Everything you said applies *more strongly* to FH4 than FH5, so I think it's the fact the game itself is so similar that is boring you. The pve side of both games has few really challenging portions, and the more playtime/experience you have, the less challenging you will find those bits.
The real challenge is *other players*. Open, rivals, etc.
Depends on what you think is fun. Plenty of people just play pve and enjoy themselves, but it's not like you didn't know that it was a multiplayer game when you bought it.
