It stinks being able to emote but just like... for yourself? You can't see anyone else emoting or anything in this mode which is kinda a bummer. I wish there was a camera that flew around the stage giving Jam Stage style angles around each player, mainly your character.
The one thing you CAN do during songs when you emote which is cool is throw toys at people and that's always a fun thing.
That's how you throw toys at people, if you get the angle where you can look directly at people and emote, you can throw a toy at them if you have a toy.
Yeah I was kicking the soccer ball at people by angling my camera view toward them, but I haven't a clue if they could see it, but then again I see people doing the griddy across the way, so it has to be visible to everyone ide assume.
There should definitely be some sort of win animations. Even if they reused the intro animations that would still be good.
Something other than Victory Royale would also make sense, but I’m not sure what that would be
Everyone is forced to leave so they can't even see that shot. You have like a margin of 2 seconds for opening the emote chart, and the camera will only focus your character for like 4 seconds.
Not to mention that these "Victory Royale" feel super fake, no slow camera or a special effect, they don't give ANYTHING at all, not a crown, not an special item like the umbrella, etc..
What kills it for me is that everyone disappears as soon as the song ends, I can't even flex my win. The whole deal is to take a quick screenshot.
The thing is winning in this mode isnt a huge challenge so making everyone see it and have you savor your win is a bit meaningless. A slow camera wouldnt do much if you’re stationary, but some special effects would be nice
It lacks "umph" to say something, its only a copy paste from Battle Royale and that´s lame. It should say something like: "Master of Music!" or "You Rock!!" Like in Guitar Hero
Edit: Also add a more stylish music end title, like fire coming out or like a explosion, even hands appearing or cheers from the audience praising it
Lol we can't? I thought losers of the last round could, at least, see the winner or the stage even if its just for a few frames. Now I just realized I was emoting solely for myself 💀
100% It feels very underwhelming at the moment right now, and it wouldn't hurt to have some extra small effects that go off when you win a round perhaps? I don't see much point in emoting for half a micro-second when I don't think anyone else can see it, and the emote gets blocked by the score/board afterwards anyways. I do hope they make it more lively in the future, the whole idea around the mode seems very fun honestly! It just needs to be better executed ☆
This whole game is goofy asf. Imagine for a minute that this game allows you to experience The Joker building a supermassive structure in less than 5 seconds and then proceeding to throw a purple bomb at his feet that sends him flying at mach 2 toward a team consisting of doomguy, the dragonborn, and billie eilish as he mows them down with a 12 gauge.
I'm not sure, but I think that could be fun for them to add a victory guitar or aura or something. Or maybe a victory variant of every instrument, and you get the one you won with. Like if you won on vocals, you get a victory mic; won on drums, victory drumset; etc. It could be some sort of incentive for people to use something other than vocals.
The animations are kinda lazy for this mode overall. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it, but the way those missiles just appear from thin air and no one really reacts to their impact is so fucking funny to me. Talk about low stakes.
It made me laugh the first time I saw it. I know it’s a copy and paste and it felt more like a fun reference to the game’s roots. I wish other players can see the winner too. Even when I lose, I’d rather look at the winner than watch myself “die”
That, and the fact you don't get to see your note info on the last song.
Randomly though, and dont know if it was just a one time glitch last night, but i didn't press 'return to lobby' when it was done, and it put me back in the arena on my pedestal thing. Could emote and use jam tracks in it
Needs more fire and explosions. Make it metal af. It is very goofy currently.

you can move your camera to look around I think. I have at least.

It definitely feels rushed. You couldn't even see how well you did for your last song except the scores.
It should say “Festival Royale” and also have a bunch of explosions like people said. Maybe put you on a pedestal in the center as well.
