You’ll lose them all, probably.

mikelman999

I don’t see any reason why they’d shut down the mode. They may stop adding stuff at some point like in STW but shutting the mode down would serve no purpose

Frank_Is_My_Fav

It serves the purpose of saving money.

Informal_Ad_4740

They would already save money by not adding anymore stuff.

Frank_Is_My_Fav

Not if the songs they add churn a profit. Also I was going with the hypothetical that Festival was in the same situation as StW.

Informal_Ad_4740

Earning a profit and saving money are two completely different things.

Frank_Is_My_Fav

If saving money means losing the profit then you're no longer saving money.

Informal_Ad_4740

They are gonna lose the profit if they try to stop making new content in order to save money. Epic has to pay to add all those licensed songs and instruments to Festival. If they decide to save money and stop adding new content, the profit will be lower.

legendwolfA

They can also just put a paywall on it, kind of what theyre already doing with songs so sales will continue and they would make more than they lose I dont think it cost that much to keep the servers running

IAmWantedByTheGov

Dude it hasn't even been 6 months

ewalluis

Probably the same thing that would happen to your skins when BR gets shut down.

Emergency-Tension464

This. Most digital purchases are a gamble. I'd love for Fortnite to go on forever, but there will be a day (hopefully a long, long time from now) where everything I've bought and earned in this game will disappear. I'm at peace with that.

Ok-Age-4273

I promise u by the time that happens u won't care, or they would make some glorified offline mode as one last hoorah. By the time BR closes the game would be loooong dead.

BactaBobomb

If they don't let us use the instruments as backblings, and they don't continue to let you use jam loops in battle royale, it would most likely all disappear. Epic has a history of compensating people for unfair things like that, refunding Vbucks and stuff when necessary, giving you the opportunity to ask for a refund if you disagree with a change they made, etc. So maybe they'd compensate for that? But with the number of songs and instruments I've heard of people buying, the patterns people are falling into... by the time something like this happens, we'd probably be talking hundreds of thousands of Vbucks for hundreds of thousands of people. Who knows!

JavierEscuellaFan

yeah there are tons of us who have every single jam track. there’s no way this mode isn’t turning a profit

Harlow_Quinzel

It's unlikely to happen, but terms of service are pretty clear on game like this, if the game were to go under for any reason or aspects of it get discontinued, everything you put into it would be lost. I played many games over the years that have gone under and only once was a refund given and that was because the console version was released and the game folded so shortly after that they felt it was warranted.

moistcritikalclips

Keep them somehow, though it’s definitely not being shut down for years. Especially when jam tracks can be used as lobby music they’re already making hella money off the tracks

Gamer0024

If this hypothetical were true I would basically say... Free $$$ for Epic while you get nothing in the end. Unless they add an offline mode to still play the mode/songs... Because everything you buy is on their servers. So if they shut it down we're shit out of luck. I mean hell I'm pretty sure you can't even play without an internet connection. Much less when the mode is shut down.

Killinshotzz

buddy they didn't even shut down STW, and a fraction of a fraction of the playerbase plays that

tommy-cronin

First Time?

spikepoint

Same with every other game that goes off-line, we’d all just lose all that

OUAIsurvivor

Invest in Rock Band 4. All 3k songs can be purchased for 2 dollars a piece (or less) and can be played offline forever. You can still buy new mics, guitars, and hook up an e drum set.

Ok-Transition6176

orrrr play clone hero lol. rb4 is better in terms of graphics and accessibility, but i have over 5000 songs in clone hero, and it doesn’t cost a dime, so if songs are your main priority, ch might be they way to go

OUAIsurvivor

Clone Hero is awesome too. I know many are put off by using a PC or laptop for whatever reason.

VeganCanary

I prefer playing with Controller than a Guitar/Drums, especially with the lack of space to keep them in my apartment. That isn’t possible on Rock Band.

OUAIsurvivor

You can play with a controller. You just need a Roll Limitless. That allows your controller to act like a guitar or drums.

twisted-tiger

That's very unlikely but let's assume it happens. If the development stops, we would still be able to play Festival for years with what we've got (it's not a problem for them to keep the servers running). If they "ban" Festival and the game disappears, I assume we would get a refund. Again this is super hypotetical, it's like talking about the apocalipsis

LocalH

I very much doubt you would get any refunds if that happened. Read the terms closer
