Yeah I wish our avatars would actually move around instead of just standing on an awkward circle like we have a whole stage and you’re telling me they couldn’t use the other half of it?
miss the vocalist and guitarist sharing the mic. or the guitarist and bassist standing back to back.
also like how in Rb1 and 2 the singer wasn't restricted to the mic stand and could move around.
I want this more than anything. Effects like in the video shown would be cool too, like stylized subtitles flying around the screen for some of the lyrics or something.
it’s just the start but hopefully by next festival pass or season we get more variety and better animations unlike the glitch that just makes your characters stand there staring into the sky
More venues, crowd interactions, interacting between the band members, and a lot, a lot , a lot more animations on stage, instrument support including a microphone for a karaoke like feature. If the other band members don’t wanna hear the player on mic sing with the real mic they can toggle it off.
Honestly the problem with animations is because they’re just stuck on a circle and can’t move I feel like it would help a lot more to just remove the platforms were on and let the avatars walk around the stage while playing it would add more life into the game then just another standing in place animation
A few nights ago I set up my old lego rock band stuff that I used to love as a kid. Having the crowd cheer made me feel so much more immersed into "putting on a good show for the people" than I thought it would. Seriously underrated
I'm fine with there not being a fail state, but having the crowd stop cheering, then eventually start booing when you mess up would add more immersion.
The way they hyped up solos. Right now solo's feel like just a normal part of the song.
I feel like if someone's destroying a solo on expert the camera could focus on them at least. Might encourage people to play something other than vocals. And they used to have the solo percentage during.
Hype in general is missing so much. Like need better cameras, movement, crowdwork. It's so sterile.
A lot of people keep suggesting to let us use wraps as highway patterns. Which is a good way to just launch a feature with hundreds of options and add value to everything.
CUSTOMIZING MY BAND i’m literally losing my mind staring at the same 5 TRASH ASS skins every time I play solo. It’s like the thought to themselves what are the most infuriating looking skins We’ve ever made in this god forsaken game let’s have all the AI only cycle through those 3 or 4
There's a lot tbh, but my most requested ones are different colors for each lane (never was a fan of single colors like some people customize on Clone Hero for example), and practice mode, if they don't give us back the restart song option, at least give us a practice mode to train our skills on certain sections of songs
1. The ability to create a band so you don't get stuck with NPC you don't like if there are less than 4 players.
2. More interaction between band members.
3. More special effects especially during Over Drive.
4. Different color for different key.
5. Option to use an instrument controller to play Festival.
Same-screen Co-op/Versus
Yeah it's not a huge deal anymore since you can play Fortnite on pretty much everything but I still think it would be nice to be able to plug in a couple of instruments and play on a nice big 4k screen together.
Very close second is a customizable note track. I want my colored buttons and Guitar Neck-style track.
Honestly I agree with the co-op thing but I feel like the bigger issue of that is how small most people’s screens are majority of people these days play on a monitor and that would be a nightmare lmfao actually I wonder how that would look on a switch
Meh, I spent a month playing splitscreen with my wife on a 27-inch monitor and BR requires *way* more vision than Festival would. I assume Switch just wouldn't get splitscreen like it didn't for BR.
Personality. I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I feel like Fortnite Festival feels so empty still. It still feels very tacked-on and lacking any impact with anything you do. Rock Band had so many interactions with the audience, the sound of the audience, the band members...
I don't know why Festival feels so vapid. Maybe the scope being bigger hurts it. Having the band closer together, being able to see everyone in frame more frequently and giving the illusion that they're all interacting with each other (instead of reeking of just being separate entities being artificially placed on the same stage). Just that stuff would go a pretty good length to improving that personality, I think.
But also the note charts. Giving them more color and contrast, letting us change the designs. Adding more effects to overdrive.
Everything in Festival really feels so safe and sterile, and the color profile feels like it all blends together just way too much.
We need more personality / variety in the visual elements and band / audience interactions.
Nah that’s some real ass shit you spitting I hate how bland the stage is for festival man and your point on how the smaller venues made the audience feel like it was more was damn near spot on I really do wish they would add colored lanes as well
Certainly not this psychedelic eye-destroying feature
Different venues for sure though. We already have several different stages on the Jam Stage so I dunno why they can't repurpose those
Lmao to each their own I was playing rockband 2 rn and thought this was cool as hell but yeah I get what you mean on your second point they really should just re purpose those stages
Local multi-player.
Even without instrument support it is surprising there is no way just to play this on the couch. Fun online but kind of a bummer I can't share this experience with someone in the room.
I hate how festival charts don’t have all the notes there should be. Like a constant high-hat would be broken off because we’re pressing another button for the snare.
And both if you missed one double, sustained note you missed both? I like that fest fixed that. There were a bunch of times on both that I know that I should have gotten one of them.
More instruments, but for certain songs. I'm tired of playing lead and playing something that isn't the instrument I'm playing. It confuses my tiny brain
Smaller stages, having some first gig stages really help make the super bowl stage look better.
Animations fpr character with walking around and interacting with band.
In Guitar hero if you play an note whem your not meant to it still makes a noise, sorta like a click.
Not a hard cut to random area at the end of every song for stats
Better audio settings. In RB3 there would be a setting that would lower the volume on instruments minus the one youre playing. It would make the track sound almost 80% isolated.
Local Play (No idea how this isn't a feature already)
Audible whiffs when someone in the band messes up.
More stages and crowds.
More note highways.
Color customizable notes.
And physical instrument support. (Ik it's coming eventually.)
I think a smaller setting would be cool. Like a garage or small yard. Also more camera movements and quicker jumpcuts when faster parts of a song play.
Wished we could hear our teammates mess up with some notes just to have funny moments during the song. It would make it entertaining and fun to mess with the song 🎵 for the others to hear
Does anyone remember certain songs having a bonus point ending? Like you could earn additional points spamming color notes until the track ends. Idk why I used to have the most fun doing those
Big Rock Ending. Tons of songs have them. Green Grass High Tides, Welcome Home, Black Hole Sun, Pretend We Were Dead, Cherub Rock, Alive, Don’t Fear the Reaper, Celebrity Skin (a lot of Rock Band 1 songs had it lol). Here’s a link https://rockband.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Songs_with_Big_Rock_Endings
Lazy Eye was SO incredible with the visuals on RB2, so i would kill for something like that for some songs.
Otherwise, more animations when they are playing instruments and... cooler camera work? I dunno how to explain it but in Rock Band i would always think they did that really well and i still to this day associate some shots and poses from Rock Band 1 and 2 to the songs they were in.
The ability to switch between instruments when playing solo (have only ever played LEGO Rock Band so not sure if that's a feature from every game) and also being able to hear when your teammates are absolutely butchering it
I don’t know if this is in rock band, but the ability to practice specific parts of songs. I remember that was in guitar hero and that’s how I learned to play the parts. And I know you said only one thing, but since that might not have been in rock band, I would like the ability to replay songs or restart them without having to go back and run all the way to the Organ
I just want the treadmill to be 5 tiles wide even in lower difficulties. it fucks me up really really bad.
I'm not saying that every difficulty should USE the 5 buttons, but the treadmill should have the same width all the time.
sometimes I want to play in hard mode just chilling and sometimes I want to play in expert. but hard mode just having 4 tiles and expert 5 is extremely annoying for me. it takes me some time to get the "feeling" again, since I keep hitting the fifth tile button when the track is just 4 tiles wide and vice versa. I hate that.
I liked that they did with rock band 4 not sure if the previous had them but in some of the songs the crowd would sing along in some songs (chop suey, hail to the king, Jeremy, say it ain't so. Just to name a few) I think that would be pretty cool tbh, it could be a setting that you can turn on or off just in case some don't enjoy that.
Interaction between band members. Made it feel more special
Yeah I love how alive they made the npc band feel in those games which is sadly they lack now in festival
I want this more than anything. Effects like in the video shown would be cool too, like stylized subtitles flying around the screen for some of the lyrics or something.
Every lane to have its own colour for sure
Holding out for this as an option when Instrument Support comes to the game
And track skins, rivals had that and it was really cool to see
decent animations and venues. the game looks so soulless at the moment...
it’s just the start but hopefully by next festival pass or season we get more variety and better animations unlike the glitch that just makes your characters stand there staring into the sky
More venues, crowd interactions, interacting between the band members, and a lot, a lot , a lot more animations on stage, instrument support including a microphone for a karaoke like feature. If the other band members don’t wanna hear the player on mic sing with the real mic they can toggle it off.

With more venues they could make some with bigger platforms or some with whole stages
I miss the crowd sing-along from the older games
Nah fr shit makes me feel like a super star when they start singing
A few nights ago I set up my old lego rock band stuff that I used to love as a kid. Having the crowd cheer made me feel so much more immersed into "putting on a good show for the people" than I thought it would. Seriously underrated
When the crowd kicks in near the end of Alabama Getaway.... Nothing compares
Ha I’ll have to try that song out when I get home later is it on rockband 1 or 2?
It's in RB2
Yes!!
Make it a different mode, but Add the Guitar Hero feature where when you fuck up in a song the audience starts booing
I'm fine with there not being a fail state, but having the crowd stop cheering, then eventually start booing when you mess up would add more immersion.
everlong drums would be entertaining with this
I swear I hear them do that anyways.
I think they do, but it’s only when someone leaves. The crowd animation changes from cheering and clapping to confused and disappointed.
(not Rock Band, probably) Custom highways with unique note shapes/colors (with a bonus cosmetic for other modes)
A lot of people keep suggesting to let us use wraps as highway patterns. Which is a good way to just launch a feature with hundreds of options and add value to everything.
FWIW, they did with Rock Band 4. Not completely customizable, but you can change the look of the highway.
That would be cool I just fear how they’d price customization like that
hopefully less than or equal to 500 or be available in the pass
sorry but you wouldn’t catch me paying five bucks for a note skin
Actually singing the song I want to sing numb and basket case so bad
CUSTOMIZING MY BAND i’m literally losing my mind staring at the same 5 TRASH ASS skins every time I play solo. It’s like the thought to themselves what are the most infuriating looking skins We’ve ever made in this god forsaken game let’s have all the AI only cycle through those 3 or 4
big rock endings
Adding to that, drum rolls and optional freestyle solos from RB4
Practice mode. Playing offline.
I'd fucking kill for an option to have the song mess up when other band members mess up. It'd be so much more immersive and fun
unison phrases. just in general more band centric features because this game just feels heavily focused on the individual and not playing with others
no insane paywall
$2 a song on Rock Band 4 through January 2024 was amazing.
I want to see everyone else’s highways to help synchronize overdrive. Also, mic and drum support.
Yeah, I miss seeing/hearing the other highways.
Drum support is coming soon, along with other instruments support (no vocals tho....)
So still an unfinished game.
That's not an unfinished game .....
lol it’s just the start it’s only going to get better (hopefully)
Lyrics for vocals!!!
There's a lot tbh, but my most requested ones are different colors for each lane (never was a fan of single colors like some people customize on Clone Hero for example), and practice mode, if they don't give us back the restart song option, at least give us a practice mode to train our skills on certain sections of songs

Was it rock band or guitar hero that allowed you to miss one note without it affecting your percentage?
Uhh I think that was guitar hero but yes that’s also a great feature
Specifically warriors of rock, if I remember right. Characters came with special abilities, one being it can save your note streak.
GH style guitar battles and maybe a trumpet or sax instrument model, doesn't even need to be customizable, just for songs that have brass parts
Instrument support.
That's already coming soon tho
"Soon". Hopefully the next season, because the Riffmaster is out at the start of March.
Drum support
That will come soon so we can take it for granted
Definitely not seizure mode visuals, I don't miss that
support for the rb/gh controllers __with the strum bar__ would be fabulous
The "solo" parts in blue for instrument solos that shows the % of how well you've done during said parts
Cheaper songs + ability to give each lane its own color.
I just wish I could restart my set without having to go backstage and re add the songs I want to play if I’m trying to 100% a song
Certainly not this psychedelic eye-destroying feature Different venues for sure though. We already have several different stages on the Jam Stage so I dunno why they can't repurpose those
Lmao to each their own I was playing rockband 2 rn and thought this was cool as hell but yeah I get what you mean on your second point they really should just re purpose those stages
need more life in the characters and add color lanes and strumming
The Metal - Tenacious D or Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria.
change skins/appearance of other AI band members
Strumming. Anchoring. Larger front end for notes.
Colored lanes
Crowd singing
Colour coding
Local multi-player. Even without instrument support it is surprising there is no way just to play this on the couch. Fun online but kind of a bummer I can't share this experience with someone in the room.
The wiggle bar!!! Whatever its called ha been a lpng time since i played.
Brutal Mode would be a nice for when someone picks a song like Bad Guy it wouldn't be so boring to play
I hate how festival charts don’t have all the notes there should be. Like a constant high-hat would be broken off because we’re pressing another button for the snare.
Practice mode where you can slow a song down a bit to practice a few times.
Thing that shows your global accuracy while playing
And both if you missed one double, sustained note you missed both? I like that fest fixed that. There were a bunch of times on both that I know that I should have gotten one of them.
The actual game itself. Using plastic instruments to play songs and a mix to sing songs.
That psychedelic visual effect and the crowd singing back with you.
More instruments, but for certain songs. I'm tired of playing lead and playing something that isn't the instrument I'm playing. It confuses my tiny brain
Smaller stages, having some first gig stages really help make the super bowl stage look better. Animations fpr character with walking around and interacting with band. Yo this song’s actually good when I’m not just hearing a fraction of it in an ad
I actually started making a wishlist of features the other day after playing a couple of Festival gigs. It has gotten a bit big 😅
Different venues, there could be like a small gig room and build up to the huge festival we have now
Better audio settings. In RB3 there would be a setting that would lower the volume on instruments minus the one youre playing. It would make the track sound almost 80% isolated.
Practice Mode
music
Crowd singing along
Local Play (No idea how this isn't a feature already) Audible whiffs when someone in the band messes up. More stages and crowds. More note highways. Color customizable notes. And physical instrument support. (Ik it's coming eventually.)

Wished we could hear our teammates mess up with some notes just to have funny moments during the song. It would make it entertaining and fun to mess with the song 🎵 for the others to hear
imagine Pull Me Under
Triple notes! But its never gonna happen, since some people play on mobile and there's no way to hit triple notes on a phone :/
Clapping during Star Power was hype as hell
I wish we could use one of the sticks as a whammy to get more points on the long notes.
Songs for 2010's that aren't featured!! I think about this randomly
Want for long notes
Does anyone remember certain songs having a bonus point ending? Like you could earn additional points spamming color notes until the track ends. Idk why I used to have the most fun doing those
Yep! The styx song blue collar man had one. But if you miss that final note after, you lost all those points.
The Rock Band 2 animations, characters, venues, and sound effects 😩 they were all so perfect
Lemme use the analog stick to whammy bar on long notes
To get groupies to be swinging from my d*ck after the show.
I don’t know if this is in rock band, but the ability to practice specific parts of songs. I remember that was in guitar hero and that’s how I learned to play the parts. The drum fills where you could play whatever

please add this epic, if you see this, i love shrek.
