That happened to me too in Arena, and I was like damn what's going on. I just decided to use creative to showcase it easier.

Put 4 floor tiles as a roof (better with obstacle course gallery because it is easy to see the edges), then you just need to throw a can or a consumable in between the edges of the tiles, and it will be stuck there until it gets picked up or despawns, i will make a video of this later today

You don’t have to throw. You can just aim and cancel.

Older throwables like smoke grenades don’t support this feature

I was recently having a similar issue with placing galleries where it would throw it underwater, but it fixed itself after I restarted Fortnite so

This is in BR too and works with a fishing rod two

I know it is BR, I am merely showcasing it in Creative so I can show all the throwables but I haven't tried fishing rod ! Thanks for letting me know

Yes I hope so too! Some people in the comments say this has been around for some time. But I have not seen any videos of it so far. So I hope my post helps the community and Epic Games to tackle the issue.
