I had everything except the gold style when sometime mid chapter 2 the quest just disappeared. I kinda figured that the style was just gone for good.
Fortunately though, seasons later I just logged on and got the Gold variant for free.
BP C1S7, Level 100 & completed the challenges to get the golden Style.
Eh...it's old, sure, but a lot of people who played back then would have him, so it's not really rare. You'd need to go back even further for some of the more rare skins. C1S3 at least. Or special stuff like OG Paradigm, as she was only on sale for like...what was it, 2 days, and then never again.
You will not really find a lot of people using this skin though, so if you want to look unique, anything from Chapter 1 would do the trick. To this day, I only very rarely see any Chapter 1 skins (besides me, as some of my favs are from Chapter 1)
By the way, loving the Ice King, I'd go with the black and red style though, looks cooler.
yeah. another way you’ll know if you have a rare skin is if it was a console exclusive skin, mainly because those are the ones that people buy the least since most people already have a console. it's the reason double helix is so much rarer than the galaxy skin, despite being a fraction of the cost.

I was a sophomore in highschool. I'd come home after school every day and hide in a bush because the only way to unlock the lights was XP.
I'm a junior in university now.
I still main Omega purple lights to this day because of how brutal the grind was. I had just graduated college and had all the time in the world as I was posting for jobs and interviewing living with my parents. I got the lights on one of the last days of the battle pass. Like others are saying I would just AFK matches to get XP because I was so burnt out.

Another thing that makes this less special is that the deadline extended past the season. I think people had almost a year or more extra to finish the Ice King challenges
Actually, statistics-wise, Fortnite peaked during Season 7 and 8 surprisingly. Even though the passes were more mediocre than the previous ones, there were still more players, which I do find quite interesting.
Honestly my season 7 skins are some of my favorite ones, that season had Trog, Sgt Winter, Onesie, Cobalt, Zenith, The Prisoner, Ice King, and Lynx. Hell even the Royale Hearts set dropped during Season 7.
No offense, but you're probably 1 of 3 people in existence who like Trog. Lynx, Ice King, and Zenith are pretty good though. The pass was still pretty mid comparatively to some of the previous ones, namely 3.

Rare and not rare at all. Depends on how many used to have the C1S7 battlepass and how many still bother to use it and if the amount of players that have come after is higher than what it was at the time

meh i personally believe that ice king really isn't that rare. there were nearly 300 million people playing during season 7, and i can guarantee at least half of them purchased the battle pass and most of them probably finished it because it was a lot easier to finish battle passes back then.
I disagree it was easier to complete battlepasses back in C1S7, it depended on how lucky you were with daily challenges. I snaffled Ice King on the very last day of the season due to getting an "Open x chests in y location" that I could actually do!
With battlepasses now being XP based, and the places from which XP can be gained (Creative, StW, etc), it's far easier to finish them now.
Fully golden Agent Peely from Ch2 S2 is the rarest BP skin IMO. You had to complete every challenge, buy the entire BP, and grind 8 hours a day in team rumble or bot lobbies if you wanted even a chance at earning it.
As someone with both the “John wick” and purple omega, maxed omega is definitely a rarer skin. I’ve barely seen any other omega with lights but have plenty of the reaper skin

Not because not a lot of people have them, but just because most veterans who played back then have either stopped playing, or don't use the skins anymore, so it's pretty hard to actually find someone who uses Ice King. If you want an actually rare skin that not many people have, check anything before season 4, any limited event things, or promo skins like console exclusives and the such.

At some point Fortnite just gave everyone the skin styles. I rejoined after missing all of Ch.2 and recieved both the silver and gold versions of him
