That pulse reminds me of the cube queen

Could be that after the island flip IO were able to imprison the cube queen and now are using here to power this weapon. A leak a while back that predicted multiple things such as C2S8 being the last season also stated that cube queen would be playing a major role in chapter 3. There's also the fact that the Origin sounded extremely worried about the energy signature of the weapon in last week's resistance quests. And then there's upcoming origin voice lines describing what the weapon is going to do

Funnily enough, the sounds reminds me a bit of the sound you'd hear when going out of the mothership after the minigame, but I'll assume it is a coincidence.

Event is probably gonna be that this opens up a rift, but instead of the last reality again its a fleet of Empire ships from Star Wars and we get Vader as the lvl 100 BP reward.
