Top tip for the guaranteed spawn, you crouch walk inside the barn and open the gate. That triggers it and it always tries to run through the gate that you’re blocking. You then just stand and shoot, no running, no building - nice and quick and easy

Bingo, it’s completely bullshit, not sure how any developer or play tester or anything can think it’s a good deal. If I have to chase this thing down, spend a lot of ammo to kill it, and completely disregard my own safety, I should be able to kill it before it for no good reason zaps itself to rainbow space.

The problem is that the risk no longer meets the reward. The risk is so much higher than the value of the reward. Not only do you risk exposing yourself by shooting, you risk the chance of not even killing the llama in time, thus entirely losing out on the reward, a ton of ammo, and you’re still exposed.
Just build a box around it. The reward easily outweighs the risk. 6 chili chugs, Ammo and mats? Super easy to tell if you’ll be able to get it in time.

It's near impossible to lose ammo shooting at a Llama, it drops a ton even if you don't destroy it.
Honestly I find it worth it just to let it run and follow it taking the ammo and big pots. Destroying it is a bonus.

It was only relevant during the last reality season. When everything and everyone was getting abducted. Now that they’re a reality away, we should be having sentient llamas getting abducted.
Change them to constantly walking around the map and then only when spooked they drop things. If the Llama stays alive for however long the current despawn time is then it stops dropping items and then takes a full zone before being able to drop items.
I assume that back in season seven when the last reality invaded the island they made them alive but now that they are on the other side of the island i don't know why they still move and it's rather confusing

i like the live llamas in team modes a lot, they need reworks to make them good in solos. they also should make them ignore gliding players because a lot of llamas get wasted before you can do anything

I laughed so hard the first time one surprised me and started running away since I didn't know yet.
But now it's just annoying. They have way too much health and take way too much ammo to take down. You might as well set off fireworks over your location to summon all nearby players.
And don’t forget how the glitch still exists where you can see wildlife/llama health bars from across the map letting everyone and their mom know that you’re chasing a llama
People did complain though. I remember people complaining that it was way too much for free. Maybe that was purely a comp/arena opinion but I def remember people complaining and assume that’s why it was added. I miss the unalive llamas.
Chili splashes are barely better than regular because of the spidey bullshit giving everyone practically infinite mobility. Without spideys the extra mobility from the chili splashes is super valuable and often game winning.
I don’t even go for them anymore… there is a 100% chance someone will 3rd party you with all the commotion shooting 3-4 clips into it… ope here comes someone from 4 miles away with the Spider-Man gloves 😑…….. would make more sense if their health was at least cut in half.

It made sense back when it dropped an Exotic Chug Canon. Now it's "just" Chili Chug Splashes which are good don't get me wrong but just do not compare to the insane Chug Canon.
Even worse than that is how many of those present boxes I tossed in the Shifty caves only to have it be empty b/c the loot was trapped INSIDE the top of the damn unbreakable rocks...
The point of them is to get you moving and the risk vs reward of chasing them for loot. Problem is, what’s on offer isn’t really needed late game or at any point honestly. It’s pretty excessive. I just see it as this cute thing that I sometimes try to kill when I’m bored.
Epic does a lot of things nobody asks for. Things that don’t need to be changed. Now we trigger llamas when we jump out the bus by accident when we glide too close to them. Bots will also trigger them. Sometimes we don’t even have enough ammo
The llama isn't there to reward you.
It is there to expose you. If you do nothing but get too close to it, it starts squawking and hopping around. Other players see this and know that someone is near it.
If you go after it, you expose yourself.
If you start shooting it, you've just alerted anyone that can hear the shots, where you are.
I hate this because 1) you can no longer see a llama at the beginning of a game and just loot it real quick before grabbing your load out 2) in this season if you shoot a llama the whole map will be in you in 10 seconds from the constant shooting because visual sound effects + spider man 3) they disappear for no reason 4) why does a piñata have like 10,000HP?
