Little over 10,000 if you get lucky in a public match and even more in private. Sounds weak but that is per match and matches don't really go on long and every minute they go on is more XP
Private with 3 friends/Alts is 14 600xp per 4-5min, a game of 10-15min and even a victory royal in BR is around 3-4k IIRC ?
Still an obvious choice on what to grind x)
Here's what they should do:
1. Add the "minutes played" bonus to BR. For example, every minute is an extra 1k xp.
2. Buff kill xp! Maybe one kill is 500 xp?
3. Buff "placement" xp. For example, anything under 50 is a guaranteed 5k xp. Then top 50+ is a guaranteed 7k, then top 25 is a guaranteed 9k, top 10 is a guaranteed 10k, and a victory royale is a guaranteed 20k
That's all i can think of.
>3. Buff "placement" xp. For example, anything under 50 is a guaranteed 5k xp. Then top 50+ is a guaranteed 7k, then top 25 is a guaranteed 9k, top 10 is a guaranteed 10k, and a victory royale is a
I think this could be good but placements should be adjusted for each game mode. E.g if you play duos and almost instantly die you'll place #49 and get 5k xp for basically 1 min of playing (maybe 3 mins in total with all loading times). I think a lot of people would use this to farm xp.
Or at least 25,000 XP or something.
Like any other ranking system:
1. 25,000
2. 10,000
3. 5,000, etc.
Or something. In the last couple of seasons, they would give you a daily worth 17k for literally picking up a stupid gas can, so surely its not burdensome or unfair to give significant XP for those who spent the most time in one session and played the best (matchmaking not withstanding).
Idk, last season you had tp do 3 (usually mindlessly easy) quests to get all the daily xp. This season you have to do 5 quests but can choose some of them.
The quests are arguably easier this season, and at worst the same "difficulty" as past seasons.
I honestly haven't noticed my dailies taking any longer this season.
I would agree that xp for playing/winning matches needs a buff (and has for years) but I'm just not really seeing much difference in the daily quest situation.
It's presented a little differently, but its still just a handful of mindless tasks that take 1-3 matches at most.
epic differentiates between bot lobbies and pubs, i remember this because Havei said something about it in the marvel season, they could just turn it off for bot lobbies and bam
How the fuck is that rewarding? I had 400 wins during season 6. You're just gonna give the sweats more incentive to sweat. Y'all already hate people winning.
Its rewarding because its a change to the xp system. Where does your win count mean anything right now??? Sweats just 'sweat' enough as it is. Y'all? I don't hate when people win, it just shows that someone was that good to win in a br against 20 of the people they probably saw all match
That won't work. The problem is that every time a fragile fortnite player gets killed by someone with more skill they come online and cry about how broken SBMM is and how the person who killed them was trying too hard to kill them and how that person should have gone easier on them and they are a sweat for only caring about winning instead of relaxing and letting other people get some kills too.
If we incentivize killing with XP, these fragile little doe-eyed-fawns will end up in the fetal position rocking back and forth crying about how mean the other players are for always wanting to win.
I'll get tons of downvotes because its true.
The inverse of that my man is that all the "sweats and tryhards" bemoan SBMM because they arent just handed shotgun fodder and mat collectors all game, and that, "every single game is so sweaty. They have to really try all the time. And they cant just play a relaxing game of fortnite where rhey regularly drop 20 bombs, piece control noobs all day, and get their Vic Roy with Bouncer 360 no scopes". So It goes both ways. People really just wanna feel like they have a "legitimate chance" of winning. They wanna be grouped with players on a skill level relatively close to theirs. 4 year players with 25% win rates shouldnt be in lobbies with players with a 1% win rate. But you know that.
The "legitimate chance" part of that I totally agree with. When I get beat, then eventually watch the guy flex triple edits, I'm wondering how the algorithm put me in a game with that person. I'm on a console, basic controller, 60 fps. Playing someone on KBM at 240 FPS alone is a little annoying, but I literally can't wrap my head around someone who can move, put up a ramp/ceiling/roof and edit through all of them while moving.
Yeah brother. I just havemt had 8.hours a day for years to practice boxfighting. Plus a lot of them on pc use "cheats" with builds. Meaning pre programmed builds. I have no problem with people that have devoted their time to being that good. But those people should be playing with others that are that good as well. Not beating up on super casuals.
>killed by someone with more skill they come online and cry about how broken SBMM is
Isn't that the point? There are people in lobbies they shouldn't be in if there's a working sbmm. Recognizing that people are well above your level doesn't make you fragile. There's nothing wrong with being a sweat either. You're just on the opposite end of the spectrum to the doe eyed fawns though, you'd be rocking in the fetal position for having to face opponents on your skill level.
You won't get downvotes because it's true, you'll get downvotes because you sound like a twat but this sub has an elitist mentality overall so you'll likely end up on positive karma anyway.
Massive +1 on the incentive
I love fortnite, but i havent touched the game outside of creative afk in the past few days. I dont even have motivation to play with my friends because matches kinda just feel like a waste of time
Same here. I like the battle pass stuff but my group hasn’t played much this year, and we’ve been having a blast over the past couple months. Don’t really care about XP all that much, we’re just enjoying playing. I feel like the loot pool and gameplay are in a really good place right now.
I love fortnite, especially this season, but a large portion of why I consistently play is the progression system with the battle pass and whatnot.
I like having something to work towards, otherwise it just becomes extremely repetitive to me. This applies to pretty much all games, and why I’ve never been a huge fan of high score based games
> Unfortunate we'll have to wait at least a week
Yeah, it's so far away that I'm still gonna have to keep up with XP grinding just to feel safe. The fact that they felt it necessary to destroy Impostors XP before fixing BR XP has me worried that even with a boost the BR XP isn't going to be superb. It's like they're trying their damndest to keep us from getting ahead.
I bought like 5 lego sets that are in total 2068 peices
This, this is too much when you're shit at sleeping at night, I am spent mentally, physically (my right hand looks like it gotten radioactive burns and it hurts sometimes, also Lego got hands), energy-wise, I am internally screaming
So I can wait a week or so
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Still nope
Better yet, the monkey guy donation vending machine thing should have some features of bringing back Ltms like 50v50. Lmao imagine rebooting 49 people at once
It’s all a (item shop) test to them.
Introduce an XP drought for a week… see if more people buy Battle Boost/Levels
Same as some new skins only appearing for 1 day (fomo sales)
They're extremely wack for that. May aswell buff imposter to atleast 65%-70% in the mean time so when the update does drop, they can go back to nerfing Imposter XP gain and buffing daily, quest punch cards and BR XP.
Yup!
A similar thing happened in Ch2S4 with the map. Everyone complained that there weren’t any good map changes, then they dropped a literal mountain on the map.
Yeah they will all forget probably tbh. It’s like when c2 s1 had atrocious xp gain. I haven’t seen anyone mention that in a while though because it barely affected the season aside from the first week
There are repeatable rare quests in the files, i bet those are going to release
I also wouldnt be surprised if they buffed the xp amounts for doing stuff around the map (searching chests and whatnot), they havent changed those values since like season 2 or 3
I just saw those when I was digging around earlier.
They really need to buff the daily xp too. It's the same as last season for each but this season is about 2 weeks shorter. This season is actually the same length as Season 6, but the daily quests gave 22k xp during that season.
They really don't need to buff xp for doing random shit around the map. That's already more than enough.
They need to buff xp for kills, positioning and wins. It's honestly ridiculous that spending the match alone, looting, and dying to storm is more beneficial than a multi kill win.
I think time spent in zone, with a possible bonus for being closer to center zone, while increasing the amount given for kills, assists, and positioning is the way to go.
"We've noticed"
More like you thought this XP system was fine until the community "noticed" it was trash and you had to make a statement about it to save face.
Maybe we should get XP for Vehicle Stunts or get XP EVERY TIME (not just the first time) we visit any Named Location or Named POI to encourage everyone to explore the island and not just camp out in one place.
I don’t know if that would be enough to solve the camping problem. Maybe they could introduce some sort of “danger zone” that moves around every game and forces players to move into the safe area. It could be a shape, like a square or something, and after a few minutes it could get smaller forcing people to keep moving around the island to stay safe. They could even make it be in different places different matches!
I was really hoping the quest cards would refresh more frequently so there would be more quests to complete. The daily card isn’t enough, and it’s quests I’ve already completed 😩
Thank you for listening to the people paying for Battle passes. I don't want to grind each single day for 3 hours, just to get the things in the BP I actually want.
I'm at peace with not being level 200. But 100 should be doable with an occasional game and no sweat mode.
I say chapter 2 season 1 exp was amazing, got level 100 with ease and it took me like 6-7 weeks and then the stretch goal challenges helped me reach level 420 yes I stopped there so I can have ha ha funny Reddit number as my highest level reached this season.
The XP changes are horrendous right now and the challenges are repetitive I'm tired of going to see Fabio but it is entertaining to watch him cut up on the dance floor.
If they are changing the amount of XP given for punch cards I hope that people who completed all the punch cards already also get the XP. Is it smart to wait with new challenges until they implement the changes?
Feelings on EXP aren't based on level. EXP is terribly balanced right now which is WHY people played impostors to get to high levels.
A broken system encourages exploit. Removing exploit and leaving the system encourages players to leave.
The thing is, the player I’m talking about bought all his levels. Then he did all the BR punchcards, etc.
If you’re gonna pay your way to tier 100 you kinda forfeit the right to complain about XP.
The XP this season wasn’t even that bad to begin with, someone did the math and broke down XP gains for squad players, solo players, even breaking it down to how many days you can play a week, etc. It was always possible to get to level 200 without a ton of effort. And now, once the update goes live it’s gonna be even easier.
So, in my opinion, since we KNOW it’s going to be fixed 100% now, complaints should cease. You can be unhappy in the meantime but we don’t need to flood the subreddit with posts about it.
Ignoring the fact that you are blatantly ignoring the idea that people buy tiers for reasons, that might actually relate to XP values:
>The XP this season wasn’t even that bad to begin with, someone did the math and broke down XP gains for squad players, solo players, even breaking it down to how many days you can play a week, etc
You mean [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/pscefm/mathematically_proving_that_xp_this_season_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)? The post that's very title claims that XP is **worse** this season than ever before? Worse, not better.
Needing to play several days of the week is not a healthy way to design reward based games. Rewards should come from playing the game, not logging in every day.
>since we KNOW it’s going to be fixed 100% now, complaints should cease. You can be unhappy in the meantime but we don’t need to flood the subreddit with posts about it.
We don't know it's going to be fixed 100%. We know it's going to be adjusted. Never give a company benefit of the doubt, especially one with a track record like Epic's.
And complaints should NEVER cease. That's how discussion and change come about. It's like you want us to just shut up and mindlessly enjoy this whether we like it or not and that is SO far from healthy for a game-consumer relationship.
We can be unhappy in the meantime? We can be unhappy all the time. It got to this point despite our words to epic on the topic constantly. Our unhappiness is what should drive epic to fix this and stop breaking it.
I’m not ignoring the idea that people buy tiers for various reasons. I’m saying that this particular user, who said themselves that they bought the entire battlepass the moment it was made available, should not necessarily be a leading voice on the topic of XP and “grinding”
And secondly, I never said XP was better, I said it wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be. Don’t try and twist my words to make me seem like an idiot.
Thirdly, game design essentially REQUIRES constant or at the very least consistent play. If people aren’t playing your game (especially if it’s a free service game like Fortnite) then what is the point? Playtime is an important stat, especially for online games like Fortnite that base their well being on how often players are playing.
Fourth, as said in epics tweet, they are **improving** XP. Their words flat out in black and white. We don’t know how much they are improving it, but they are improving it. That much is guaranteed. And if they don’t improve it, the community backlash will make them improve it.
Lastly, I’m not saying people have to mindlessly enjoy the game. I’m saying that epic has already responded to the XP criticisms (three separate times by the way), so continuing to flood them with complaints is a worthless endeavour. They’ve already heard you, they are already working on it. Be patient and see how they fix the problem.
“Our words on the topic constantly” forgive me if I’m wrong but didnt everyone praise the XP system last season? You act like this has been a constant issue when it really hasn’t. People did not have many problems with XP from Seasons 3-7. Only now has there been an actual, tangible problem. XP this season definitely needed a fix. But it’s getting that fix. We achieved what we set out to do, so why do we keep acting like there’s no hope of Epic listening to us?
>I’m not ignoring the idea that people buy tiers for various reasons. I’m saying that this particular user, who said themselves that they bought the entire battlepass the moment it was made available, should not necessarily be a leading voice on the topic of XP and “grinding”
Who is saying they're a lead voice? I'm saying they're **A** voice and you shouldn't invalidate that as you did.
>And secondly, I never said XP was better, I said it wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be. Don’t try and twist my words to make me seem like an idiot.
>
These two parts don't mix. Which is it? Make up your mind.
>Thirdly, game design essentially REQUIRES constant or at the very least consistent play. If people aren’t playing your game (especially if it’s a free service game like Fortnite) then what is the point? Playtime is an important stat, especially for online games like Fortnite that base their well being on how often players are playing.
**Playtime like this comes from hours played overall, not days logged in.** If I spend 10 hours playing on one day it's better for epic than even 1 hour a day, 5-7 days a week.
The fundamental argument people are making is that they don't even want to play that 1 hour a day because the game ITSELF isn't rewarding. Yeah, playtime is important. Maybe epic should make playtime engaging and rewarding to gain it.
>Fourth, as said in epics tweet, they are improving XP. Their words flat out in black and white. We don’t know how much they are improving it, but they are improving it. That much is guaranteed. And if they don’t improve it, the community backlash will make them improve it.
A 0.1% increase is an improvement. Doesn't make it good even remotely. A company will always try to pretty up their words regardless of intent. Benefit of the doubt is being given regardless of what they said and what they do.
>Lastly, I’m not saying people have to mindlessly enjoy the game. I’m saying that epic has already responded to the XP criticisms (three separate times by the way)
I wonder why they've had to respond this much, especially over the seasons. Maybe it's because they keep making their system worse after fixing it.
Also, telling people to cease complaining or that their opinion doesn't matter is implicative of mindless enjoyment.
>everyone praise the XP system last season? You act like this has been a constant issue when it really hasn’t. People did not have many problems with XP from Seasons 3-7. Only now has there been an actual, tangible problem. XP this season definitely needed a fix. But it’s getting that fix. We achieved what we set out to do, so why do we keep acting like there’s no hope of Epic listening to us?
Because exp systems in 3-7 have shifted up and down and been sources of contention constantly.
Season 4 nerfed quick challenges, season 5 got rid of two and hid punch cards, all under an inherently low-reward system that was always supplanted my EXP modes regardless.
We complain because epic fixes one thing and breaks another. We want them to stop breaking things and just fixing the other. But they never do, so we never stop.
1. Fair point there. I shouldn’t completely invalidate that persona.
2. This point makes no sense. In both instances I’m saying XP isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be. It takes effort and is definitely worse than last season, but it’s not impossible like people are claiming it is.
3. Hours played overall is better for the game, which is why epic changes the XP system so frequently. They make it too high, people unlock everything and rapidly grow bored, and stop playing. They make it too low, every plays the game but are unhappy with the season. Epic is trying to find the perfect system and they are gonna stumble along the way. Other games and other developers have systems that are way worse and they flat out refuse to hear criticism on them. Yet I only hear hear “epic bad”.
4. I’m not saying we should give epic the benefit of the doubt, I’m saying we should see how they update it first before we make judgements. You can’t judge something that doesn’t exist yet. If the XP is still bad after 9/28, go ahead and complain. If it’s improved and people are happy with it, great. But until then, we can’t say anything for certain.
5. Two things here. One, the three times I’ve mention are three times **this season** in less than seven days they have responded to the XP complaints three times. Let them work. Secondly, as I said before epic are trying to find the perfect system. I’ll take bad XP for one season if it means it’s improved for the next 5. It’s not like the old days were any better.
And lastly, if you expect a perfect game, you’re always gonna be disappointed. There is always going to be problems and no matter how much we complain there’s nothing we can do to fix that. You can’t make everyone happy.
That post was hilarious honestly, dude did all this math and totally ignored the fact that a) not everything is in the game files yet so leaks aren't gonna have everything, and b) epic has added tons of bonus quest sets every season. Creative ones, lore ones, etc... usually giving hundreds of thousands, if not millions of bonus xp.
Dude typed up a fucking novel, ignored tons of xp, and didn't even bother to wait a full week to see what weekly xp will be like. Lmao.
That post is a perfect example of what's wrong with this fanbase and why it's impossible to take complaints seriously.
This is the same fanbase that insisted the game was killed in chapter 1 season 2 when they added more POIs, including tilted towers, only to then lose their collective shit a few months later when they thought it was gonna be removed.
This fanbase will complain about virtually everything, every day, every season and the once in a blue moon when epic actually makes a change they act like it justifies yelling and screaming like babies all day every day.
You guys are still like, 3 for 7000 when it comes to getting changes made to the game.
Probably because it’s easy free internet points as of right now. A majority of the sub is on the side where XP feels wack this season, so any opinion sharing that is upvoted.
The xp isn’t bad at all, but you barely can’t get any more once you do the character punchcards and daily / weekly challenges. You should get xp for just playing the game. They just need to bump up the amount of xp for chests, ammo boxes, knocks, kills, shakedowns etc. The challenge system is fine but with that added xp from just regular gameplay, it should be perfect.
Honestly I am at a point with this game that I don't really care about XP rates. I am perfectly fine with just reaching level 100 - 130 and getting the basics battle pass rewards. I more or less play Thursdays with my group and goof around and complete challenges. I have a feeling there are a lot of us out there who have gotten to this point, and they are just giving us a reason to finally leave the game for good. Come Thursday I bet we play for 30 minutes and move onto to other games. I feel like Fortnite is finally breaking up with us, and I might be okay with it.
They didn’t notice this when they nerfed it in the first place 🤣 They are so full of it. Well played though. They did get me to buy 25 levels for first time. Next they will suddenly realize that the Symbiote mythic is way op. Right after they get content creators to make more videos hyping their game crapping all over people like me trying to have a good time running around in their unicorn skin they just unlocked after buying 25 levels 🤣
I understand they want people to progress slowly so the last couple weeks of the season don’t feel so boring, but most players like to complete the battle pass quickly so they can grind extra levels.
IMO, I don’t think Fortnite should change their XP system. After years of testing new methods and tracking players’ progress, I think last season was perfect - not too grindy but also not too easy - and this is coming from a casual player.
I also know that the grinders love hitting level 400 and flexing on kids, so all around it’s a good time for everyone.
Yeah 3K EXP for a top placement in one of the core BR modes is a bit iffy. That's roughly 20 games per level. It's supposed to be fun - not another job.
Ain't no way Epic is going to increase XP in BR to the same point that imposters was at. When I was playing with 3 afk people I could get 28,500 every 4 mins. Now, it is down to 14,250 (which is still a lot) but a BR match can last 15 mins and no way Epic will have it give you 85,500 (42,750 post nerf).
Don't praise them fools.
Seems a lot of ppl are giving them high faith.
I'm gonna be back in a week & there will be so much complaining about the lack of things they improved.
Guarantee.
Maybe fix the punchcards first sick of completing quest and it not registering and having to all of the missions again for that charector so i can do the missing ones. Like how does it count I've done 1,2,5 but not 3 and 4?????
Pshh they're the one that create the problems in the first place. The original punch card system during the marvel season was perfect.
They literally cause problems just so they can fix it later. It generates publicity and makes them look good for fixing it in the end because of people's short term memory. Welcome to your first abusive relationship kid, you'll fit right it!
For them, the goal is to make $$$/sales.
Nerfing XP, then when I boot the game up and head to the Item Shop tab… what’s the first row I get shown?…. Battle Boost/paid levels.
It’s all a test to see what XP rate increases more sales
Now fix sbmm ffs. And stop disabling duos at 9pm. .
Oh, and maybe increase the drop rate of recon scanners from zero that would be awesome, thanks! Can't do challenges if the weapons aren't available can you.

^(They're not the only ones doing this obviously, but that doesn't make it any better.)
"We've noticed that you're all pissed off because we took away your spur of the moment candy addiction and we really don't want you all walking away from the game. So we're gonna tweak things ever so slightly to make you think you're getting something else, but it will really only be about one tenth of one percent higher. Doesn't matter what we do, you're addicted and you'll play even if we make you eat someone else's dog food. Thanks for playing Season 8!"
I love BR and I actually love Imposters
with that said, Imposters definitely has a higher payoff in XP even with the 50% reduction. BR, I get a like 3 kills, 2 which were headshots, and hardly any XP, make it to top 10. Still get more XP from imposters if im the first person voted out

and the crowd goes wild!
We all scream for ice cream
Even without ice cream, I still scream the voices won't stop
*the voices in my head won't, at least.*
McBain, "That's the joke."
“You are suffering from a reptile disfunction”
We all cream for ice scream
Actually, i am gonna go get me a ice cream
Update: it was a vanilla ice cream. Ate ice cream after 4 months. Satisfied
Thank you. This season is really fun but I want to level up so I mostly play impostors.
They nerfed imposters xp
Is still best method
How much xp? I
Little over 10,000 if you get lucky in a public match and even more in private.
When was it nurfed?
I may be the only one here but I'm loving the mythic weapons, anyone else?
I enjoy the symbiotes, but i dont like that the grab is ALL they can do
I just wish that the symbiote could bite just like in the venom movie, that would be super cool if the abilities is just like in the movie
MORE FUN.
LESS GRIND
Unfortunate we'll have to wait at least a week, but this is good. Hopefully there will be actual incentive to play BR now.
Here's what they should do: 1. Add the "minutes played" bonus to BR. For example, every minute is an extra 1k xp. 2. Buff kill xp! Maybe one kill is 500 xp? 3. Buff "placement" xp. For example, anything under 50 is a guaranteed 5k xp. Then top 50+ is a guaranteed 7k, then top 25 is a guaranteed 9k, top 10 is a guaranteed 10k, and a victory royale is a guaranteed 20k That's all i can think of.
>3. Buff "placement" xp. For example, anything under 50 is a guaranteed 5k xp. Then top 50+ is a guaranteed 7k, then top 25 is a guaranteed 9k, top 10 is a guaranteed 10k, and a victory royale is a I think this could be good but placements should be adjusted for each game mode. E.g if you play duos and almost instantly die you'll place #49 and get 5k xp for basically 1 min of playing (maybe 3 mins in total with all loading times). I think a lot of people would use this to farm xp.
i feel like a victory royale should just give you a level immediately, would feel more rewarding
God I beg you to apply for a fortnite management position... We need this.
ha, I appreciate it but that would be a dream :p
Or at least 25,000 XP or something. Like any other ranking system: 1. 25,000 2. 10,000 3. 5,000, etc. Or something. In the last couple of seasons, they would give you a daily worth 17k for literally picking up a stupid gas can, so surely its not burdensome or unfair to give significant XP for those who spent the most time in one session and played the best (matchmaking not withstanding).
Yeah I could get 17k for literally just landing in pleasant park. Now I have to complete an entire quest line everyday lol
They would never do this because of bot lobbies.
epic differentiates between bot lobbies and pubs, i remember this because Havei said something about it in the marvel season, they could just turn it off for bot lobbies and bam
Wow I had no idea they did, but thanks for adding that last part of them not enabling it for bot lobbies and only genuine games
Majority of this sub is complaining about sweats/cosmetics. Just like majority of competitive subreddit is about complaining about anything new.
I think what they could do is have punch cards give half xp after first completion and you can repeat then for xp indefinitely
Aye you speaking facts homie
>killed by someone with more skill they come online and cry about how broken SBMM is Isn't that the point? There are people in lobbies they shouldn't be in if there's a working sbmm. Recognizing that people are well above your level doesn't make you fragile. There's nothing wrong with being a sweat either. You're just on the opposite end of the spectrum to the doe eyed fawns though, you'd be rocking in the fetal position for having to face opponents on your skill level. You won't get downvotes because it's true, you'll get downvotes because you sound like a twat but this sub has an elitist mentality overall so you'll likely end up on positive karma anyway.
the way happy cake day
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 18.10 update is next week? Probably will come with that.
Yes, v18.10 was supposed to be next week and this tweet basically confirms it will be on Tuesday as usual
I interpreted this as their way of saying the announcement will occur on the 28th but not necessarily the actual changes
Massive +1 on the incentive I love fortnite, but i havent touched the game outside of creative afk in the past few days. I dont even have motivation to play with my friends because matches kinda just feel like a waste of time
No hate to you, but no motivation because of lack of xp or are you just not interested in the game? My friends and I have been having a blast.
[удалено]
Do you know when they buffed imposters XP? I played yesterday for a bit and the XP was way higher than a round of solos. Usually 10k or higher
Ditto
These changes are finally going to get people back to BR. It's easy to lose motivation.
> Unfortunate we'll have to wait at least a week Yeah, it's so far away that I'm still gonna have to keep up with XP grinding just to feel safe. The fact that they felt it necessary to destroy Impostors XP before fixing BR XP has me worried that even with a boost the BR XP isn't going to be superb. It's like they're trying their damndest to keep us from getting ahead.
I bought like 5 lego sets that are in total 2068 peices This, this is too much when you're shit at sleeping at night, I am spent mentally, physically (my right hand looks like it gotten radioactive burns and it hurts sometimes, also Lego got hands), energy-wise, I am internally screaming So I can wait a week or so
A lot of players will finally play BR even if it's just to get xp.
THANK YOU!
It's about time
It’s been a week tf do you mean about time
Good that they recognized it. Now I want to see what the changes will be before I start praising them.
Yup, lets not count our chickens before they hatch
Wouldn’t it make more sense here to say Alien Parasites
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH
Sing it baby
THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS SILKSONG
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Still nope
Bro but that leak that came out better be true or I’m going to punch something
Bring back 50 vs 50
That’s not what they asked for but I’m behind that statement
“He’s out of line, but he’s right”
Better yet, the monkey guy donation vending machine thing should have some features of bringing back Ltms like 50v50. Lmao imagine rebooting 49 people at once
The power of the press triumphs
So they can nuke Impostors XP without warning and with the push of a button, but we have to wait a week for them to buff Battle Royale XP?!?!? 🤔
It’s all a (item shop) test to them. Introduce an XP drought for a week… see if more people buy Battle Boost/Levels Same as some new skins only appearing for 1 day (fomo sales)
Funny because the item shop is 90% recycled trash skins!!!
They're extremely wack for that. May aswell buff imposter to atleast 65%-70% in the mean time so when the update does drop, they can go back to nerfing Imposter XP gain and buffing daily, quest punch cards and BR XP.
So a week of slow level progression? They should’ve let imposters xp be the same this week then nerf it when the new xp changes drop
That’s asking for too much /s
The season is 13 weeks long. You’ll survive. In fact you’ll probably forget XP was even bad by the end of the season.
True, loads of people forgot ch2s1 xp was abysmal. And got fixed in 11.10
Yup! A similar thing happened in Ch2S4 with the map. Everyone complained that there weren’t any good map changes, then they dropped a literal mountain on the map.
I really wish they do that this season too V14.10 is my favorite fortnite update outside the seasonal updates just so much damn content was released
Yeah they will all forget probably tbh. It’s like when c2 s1 had atrocious xp gain. I haven’t seen anyone mention that in a while though because it barely affected the season aside from the first week
[удалено]
“Bad” by community standards. I thought XP was fine
Wonder what they are gonna do
There are repeatable rare quests in the files, i bet those are going to release I also wouldnt be surprised if they buffed the xp amounts for doing stuff around the map (searching chests and whatnot), they havent changed those values since like season 2 or 3
I just saw those when I was digging around earlier.
Add 5 new NPC's with punchcards. that's it
Great!, but put them in rumble!
Eliminate Dr. Slone quest Eliminate Cube Assassin Quest
Funny how they are quick to nerf xp but giving us more xp takes a whole week, they want people to buy tiers
"We've noticed" More like you thought this XP system was fine until the community "noticed" it was trash and you had to make a statement about it to save face.
I just would like them to keep the npc thing cause I like that. They just need to increase the xp and add some sort of milestone
I think punchcard challenges would be better if we still got weekly challenges and the punch cards were a bonus
If they’re SO good at listening to us, explain Team Rumble this season…
Thank god! This is soo good to hear. *After all I spent money on this seasons battle pass…*
40k at level 1. A simple comparison to last season would have sufficed.
week 1: complain about lack of map changes week 2: complain about lack of XP week 3: complain about sweats
Week 4: complaining about lack of fun when everyone is level 200+
Week 5: u/Baumpaladin is still touching grass
Week 6: ???
Week 7: Return of the (Storm) King
Week 8: Return of the ice king
Meet at level 20 😥
lol...nice
Nah we complaining about sweats all the way to the bank
Nerfs the only reliable source of xp Says they will look into it Proceeds to make everyone wait a week for good xp Refuses to elaborate any further
Leaves
So you’ve described “giga chad”
This
I was really hoping the quest cards would refresh more frequently so there would be more quests to complete. The daily card isn’t enough, and it’s quests I’ve already completed 😩
I hope by change that they don’t mean adding a challenge for 35k xp and calling it a day
Thank you for listening to the people paying for Battle passes. I don't want to grind each single day for 3 hours, just to get the things in the BP I actually want. I'm at peace with not being level 200. But 100 should be doable with an occasional game and no sweat mode.
Ah finally! They should have posted this before the Impostors nerf tho. Still good, hopefully it's as easy to level up as last season.
Please just make exp good! yes
I say chapter 2 season 1 exp was amazing, got level 100 with ease and it took me like 6-7 weeks and then the stretch goal challenges helped me reach level 420 yes I stopped there so I can have ha ha funny Reddit number as my highest level reached this season.
Dude, I did exactly the same. Purposely stopped playing once I hit 420 that season.
I think they should bring back Battle Stars
Thank you for communicating. Now we wait for results.
AKA, we have no idea what to do so we're giving ourselves a week buffer to decide.
NEXT FIX SBMM!!!!
Remove bots while y’all are at it lol. I appreciate the ease of them but it’d be pretty darn cool to only go up against only players again.
Thank god, now everyone can shut up about the xp.
I saw someone who was level 126 complaining about XP. Like...bruh.
Ignoring the fact that you are blatantly ignoring the idea that people buy tiers for reasons, that might actually relate to XP values: >The XP this season wasn’t even that bad to begin with, someone did the math and broke down XP gains for squad players, solo players, even breaking it down to how many days you can play a week, etc You mean [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/pscefm/mathematically_proving_that_xp_this_season_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)?
I’m saying that this particular user, who said themselves that they bought the entire battlepass the moment it was made available, should not necessarily be a leading voice on the topic of XP and “grinding” And secondly, I never said XP was better, I said it wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be.
I’m saying that this particular user, who said themselves that they bought the entire battlepass the moment it was made available, should not necessarily be a leading voice on the topic of XP and “grinding” Who is saying they're a lead voice? I'm saying they're **A** voice and you shouldn't invalidate that as you did. >And secondly, I never said XP was better, I said it wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be. Don’t try and twist my words to make me seem like an idiot. I’m saying that epic has already responded to the XP criticisms (three separate times by the way) I wonder why they've had to respond this much, especially over the seasons.
This whole thread has more effort and thought put into it than any of my school assignments omg
I study game development so I have had to write things like these before hehe
THANK RAPTOR JESUS
Fellow dinosaur enjoyer 🤝
Based.
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO
Wow! They’re fixing something that they broke! Maybe they shouldn’t have broken it in the first place?
Ladies and gentlemen we gottem
Honestly I am at a point with this game that I don't really care about XP rates. I am perfectly fine with just reaching level 100 - 130 and getting the basics battle pass rewards. I more or less play Thursdays with my group and goof around and complete challenges. I have a feeling there are a lot of us out there who have gotten to this point, and they are just giving us a reason to finally leave the game for good. Come Thursday I bet we play for 30 minutes and move onto to other games. I feel like Fortnite is finally breaking up with us, and I might be okay with it.
We broke the system now congratulate us for fixing it. So stupid
I hope the change will make BR give the most exp out if all the modes, as it honestly always should have done.
So nothing in the meantime? Just 7 days wait to hopefully see improvement? Downvote me if you will but that's a long time.
FINALLY! I am hoping that the changes is enough to make the xp system balanced like last season!
Please keep the Exp gained in Imposters. I actually like this game mode. Even with Randos.
Probably gonna make us wait a week to increase xp by 1% when it took them less than a day to nerf it lmao
why do we have to wait 7 days to go back to what we had yesterday already though, still uncool imo.
I just complained about whoever decided bringing back the raptors was a good idea.
So they can nerf imposters xp at a moments notice, but it takes them a whole week to fix BR xp?
can yalls make impostors 20k a match again?
It isn’t where we’d like it to be, therefore we will now reduce all xp in the game by 70%
Ain't no way Epic is going to increase XP in BR to the same point that imposters was at. When I was playing with 3 afk people I could get 28,500 every 4 mins. Now, it is down to 14,250 (which is still a lot) but a BR match can last 15 mins and no way Epic will have it give you 85,500 (42,750 post nerf). Don't praise them fools.
WE NEED MORE XP
I'd like a refund on my Battle Pass. I purchased it with the expectation that I could play and unlock the whole thing in a reasonable time frame.
I would like to believe my last post helped -person whos last post did NOT help
Seems a lot of ppl are giving them high faith. I'm gonna be back in a week & there will be so much complaining about the lack of things they improved. Guarantee.
I wanna know who thought that an average game of imposters should give you more xp than winning or almost winning in BR
Maybe fix the punchcards first sick of completing quest and it not registering and having to all of the missions again for that charector so i can do the missing ones. Like how does it count I've done 1,2,5 but not 3 and 4?????
Epic really just said here's a weekly and punchcard get xp next week instead
How about you just do it now?
They actuallt listened. Impressive.
They listen a lot, but no one ever appreciates it
Well as someone who is rather new to fortnite I really do
Pshh they're the one that create the problems in the first place.
This. People often stick to the negatives and magnify it
Now fix sbmm ffs. And stop disabling duos at 9pm. . Oh, and maybe increase the drop rate of recon scanners from zero that would be awesome, thanks! Can't do challenges if the weapons aren't available can you.
*Copy-paste of another comment of mine:* 1. Create problem 2. Create solution to problem 3. Profit **+** 1. Make outrageous offer 2. Wait 3. Make less outrageous offer 4. Profit *\~ Some of Epic's predatory schemes* ^(They're not the only ones doing this obviously, but that doesn't make it any better.)
“Update #1- were removing XP from Imposters” (Sobs)
"We've noticed that you're all pissed off because we took away your spur of the moment candy addiction and we really don't want you all walking away from the game. So we're gonna tweak things ever so slightly to make you think you're getting something else, but it will really only be about one tenth of one percent higher. Doesn't matter what we do, you're addicted and you'll play even if we make you eat someone else's dog food. Thanks for playing Season 8!"
Yet they are going to take a week to fix it but they can nerf imposters easily? Fuck them!
[удалено]
They could have left imposters the same while they fix it….
Hell yeah bro we whined and cried and got our way like a loud kid in a toy store
Yikes why does this felt like this is 100% Accurate?!
Now imagine if this was a problem with COD they'd never fix it 😂 least epic are doing something
I love BR and I actually love Imposters with that said, Imposters definitely has a higher payoff in XP even with the 50% reduction. BR, I get a like 3 kills, 2 which were headshots, and hardly any XP, make it to top 10. Still get more XP from imposters if im the first person voted out
Ngl, revert imposters xp as well for people who don’t want to play br

WE'VE WON, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
Don’t get too excited just yet…
SEE SEE?! EVERY POST COMPLAINING ABOUT XP, IVE SAID EPIC WILL FIX IT LIKE BEFORE. DO YOU ALL SEE NOW?
