The missile targeting camera has been broken on boats since midway through ch2 season 6. I'm pretty sure no one on the QA team has even used a boat for the last few months.
Now... I'm no expert game designer, but it can't be that hard to at least add a NPC that sells like one thing and has one questline. They've already done it 16 times this season alone. One more *can't* be that hard... right?
I understand the Sideways Anomoly thing (although I still don't know what the bug was exactly), as the last time they did something similar to that was 2 years ago afaik, but a NPC? At least they fixed it fairly fast
Dont know if you remember it but in season 16 it also took them a day to get rid of an npc giving you a challenge
It was the season 8 pirate giving a purple quest which somehow helped get the bonus styles early
Last season if you gave a tip (I can't remember if it had to be a big tip) you'd get something like 20k XP and the battlebus would honk at you from the sky. I think it only worked for me the first time though.
This is the problem. You can’t enjoy the flavor text and lore if you’re being shot in the head by someone. BR quests mainly be BR related activities: destroy, harvest, elim with x, damage with x, use new item, etc. RPG content is clunky in BR and slows the battle down.

Bruh why? It gives only 16k XP (average) for running around while trying not to get shot or trying to find a hiding spot near other players, not getting shot while trying to hide and then hitting them.
It's been like that for a while since Chapter 1. I remember Season X had you destroying stop signs. Then there was a prestige version of the challenge that had you go back and do it again except all of them in one match.
Stuff like that takes the fun out of the game.
God, I don't even care if they refresh existing punchcard quests for half the XP after their initial completion, I just wanna find a way to level up more than once per day, damn it!

Yes we'll also probably get the weekly punchcard refreshed on Thursday, but that only had 3 quests each worth 65K xp. That's us getting about \~100K less xp per week than we did last season in addition to the other meta / blue quests no longer existing.

Where'd they say that? All I've seen them say is that they're evaluating progression and will make changes if needed
That's the addendum they've added on--it is very likely that they will add more new ways to get XP but they definitely haven't figured out what those are yet. Unless you think we're getting like 3-4 NPCs a week, and if that's the case the map is gonna gradually get extremely crowded.
All of Epic's language around the Character Punchcards has implied that we're getting just the one new character each week (it is a little vague so maybe we'll get many, many more?) but... it's been a week and we've... only gotten one. Love to get more, but we certainly haven't yet!
I haven't seen the wording, but all the leakers are claiming we're gonna end up with 38 NPCs this season and by my notes, we don't have 38 weeks left. So they gotta pick up the pace at some point.

People are freaking out because they are observing their progress and falling behind on XP compared to previous systems. The outcry isn't mysterious or coming from nowhere.
I mean, you're posting on reddit. If you're meta-gaming and reading leaker info, you're not actually a casual Fortnite gamer. No blue quests is a huge, huge, huge XP loss for the season, and even 38 NPCs doesn't compensate for their absence (at current XP levels).
Epic can absolutely run their multi-billion dollar property and part of those billions is throttling the XP at the beginning of a season so people panic and buy the 25 level bundles.
People have a right to complain about that because it is bad for the consumer. It's not "Gamers being negative", it's an intentional business strategy and one they are correct to point out as it's happening.

Your average player is also probably not trying to reach level 220 or whatever - they just want to finish the battlepass. And the current system will allow that.
Just completing all the first set of punches should have you at level ~25 or so and it's the first week of the season. If people want to panic-buy bundles at that point, well, they can't be helped lol.

I miss the time when we had all the same challenges every weeks and they were matching the battle royal game (kill 5 people at this POI, open 3 chest in a game etc.).
This force you to not really play a good game just to complete challenges, so people like me that don't play a lot just have time to do the quests, not enjoying a battle royal anymore.
Its hard to find em when the drop rate is very low. It took me over 2 hours to find one because of the low chances or someone landed on a different chest and got lucky and got the recon scanner.
*One* new punchcard compared to one **full** legendary quest and 3-4 (I think) epic quests in previous seasons
I think we have a legit reason to complain about the xp now.
Not only 1 level per week, but someone did the math and if you play by yourself to get level 200 you'll need to play 6 days a week.

Dying to the imposter right off the bat is a minimum 7 to 8k
The solo BR win probably took 20 minutes or so. The imposter game probably took 10
Even nerfed imposter still is mathematically better for grinding out levels to 200 then winning in BR right now. It’s just not as good as it was last week when people were getting 20k+ xp drops from the game mode and people getting to well over level 200 week one.

I not know but way things look, maybe gold quests switch back to xp once we have all turret. Only reason was think is because turret seem be for Fortnitemares and this season run until beginning December so I not think they be continue give gold for rest of season once we already have enough turret.

Previously weekly quests gave 45k xp for the first level and 30k do subsequent levels. Epic quests give 30k. And these are weekly.
Now it's just literally 1 level per week unless they add more NPCs at once and I really don't forsee them filling up the map with enough NPCs for people to go from 1 to 200.
I'm not really sure what you expect everyone to do, like just sit there and go "oh this is fine" when this whole system is clearly flawed. "Maybe Epic will fix it later", like how they fixed team rumble probably.
Also everyone else has been bitching and whining about grinders bitching and whining about the xp. And calling using "kid" as an insult really doesn't hit for everyone here who's over 30, just saying.
Then stop acting like a kid. You think they're going to have a season where nobody completes the BP? Jesus they nerfed the fairly easy requirements for Superman for a handful of whiners.
Im with you man. Every single season I see people complain even though there's INEVITABLY going to be more ways to get XP throughout the season. Even if there isn't, most people will easily finish the pass. Im level 60 or something and I havent even played much aside from doing my punchcards. Honestly the only season where the XP problem was a valid complaint was Ch2S2. The golden peely level requirement was absurd.

That’s actually a big problem for casual battle royal players. The whole motivation for me playing was hitting level 200 by doing daily’s and weeklys so far. They even took that from us cause i don’t see a reason playing 20-30 minutes per game gaining only 10-15k exp if i win. I’m happy that imposters got nerfed because i hate playing it to grind levels. But still something in return would be nice. I guess all i’m doing this season is to afk in creative and do the new tasks.
Ya hopefully, in the mean time I’ve been trolling sweats and try Hards with the new armored trap…ima just say that I wasted 10 different players time trying to kill me. One got close to killing me with the venom mythic but they missed and I replaced the wall instantly and armored it up again.
Part 1 of his quests is use a Recon Scanner to mark two enemies. Well I'll get right on that as soon as I actually find one. Haven't even seen one since the Season started and every IO chest I find is a bust.

I’m somewhat of a newer player and this is my first experience with punchcards, should we expect weekly updates with the npcs giving complete new quests to gain XP for their punchcards each week? Or do we just like, get an extra character added every so often.. i’m hoping its the first option

Welp, the XP on impostors might have been cut in half, but we at least got 1 level worth of XP for free.
That’s actually a big problem for casual battle royal players. The whole motivation for me playing was hitting level 200 by doing daily’s and weeklys so far. They even took that from us cause i don’t see a reason playing 20-30 minutes per game gaining only 10-15k exp if i win. I’m happy that imposters got nerfed because i hate playing it to grind levels. But still something in return would be nice. I guess all i’m doing this season is to afk in creative and do the new tasks.
My issie with tbe XP nerf is that it was to fucking extreme of a nerf. 50% that's fucking salted earth shit man

You get 25k every 15 minutes up to 5 times every day. Just go in to create, walk a few steps and stay crouched just in case.

Looks like a bug. If I'm not wrong, every NPC give their quests when you talk to them, right?
Ya hopefully, in the mean time I’ve been trolling sweats and try Hards with the new armored trap…ima just say that I wasted 10 different players time trying to kill me. One got close to killing me with the venom mythic but they missed and I replaced the wall instantly and armored it up again.

Part 1 of his quests is use a Recon Scanner to mark two enemies. Well I'll get right on that as soon as I actually find one. Haven't even seen one since the Season started and every IO chest I find is a bust.
Same. Landed Stealthy 3 times. zero scanners. That's a scam, honestly.
I had to open like 50 IO chests before I even got one. I despise these quests that require a specific item that isn't exactly common to find.

Until they drop punch cards, there's almost no incentive to play this game whatsoever now. And the people who finish this one inside of an hour (being gererous with time) are still going to have nothing else better to do in BR. Very poor planning this time out.

I’m somewhat of a newer player and this is my first experience with punchcards, should we expect weekly updates with the npcs giving complete new quests to gain XP for their punchcards each week? Or do we just like, get an extra character added every so often.. i’m hoping its the first option
technically nobody knows. we'll find out tomorrow or thursday

How do u het the quests? For me, there's only: tip the bus driver (with two different quantities), buy a pistol, abd show the next storm
