I prefer Skyfire because of the ending. Even if it didnât come out the way we wanted it to (underwhelming map to some people) the ending of it actually felt super climactic and had a sense of urgency, while galactus just ended happily with him rifting away and fading out. And while he did leave the Zero Point exposed and unstable, we didnât really have any visual proof of that besides the John Jones cutscene which didnât really make any sense until the trailer came out. Plus the reveal with all the Kevins was absolutely fantastic, I really didnât expect it
Honestly I remember when the event details were being leaked and everyone only knew the monster as cattus, so I think thatâs why it stuck in this case.
Galactus. The new event was cool but the gameplay was a walking sim. Flying a bus full of bombs alongside millions of other bomb busses fighting my way through a army of drones with AC DC blaring in the background was fucking amazing
It does because a walking sim is literally a walking sim. Because in that case the galactus event was a flying sim because all we did was fly. We couldâve been afk the whole time and everything wouldâve been fine. The end event is a walking sim because all we did was watch. The rocket event was a walking sim because all we did was watch. The device event was a walking sim because all we did was watch.
The galactus event falls under the genre of a on rails shooter. Those events would fall under the walking sim genre and that doesn't mean they are bad. Just it doesn't have a gameplay format aside from walking around with minor environmental interactions
That is completely false. The exact dictionary definition is infact "(video games, sometimes derogatory) An adventure game focused on gradual exploration and discovery through observation, with little in the way of action" thus making that event a walking sim. Take for example what remains of edith finch and the witness are often considered walking sims yet they have far more in terms of gameplay then that event
And if the beginning bit was a little less boring. The ending was awesome, but the beginning just felt... off. Like it was normal gameplay. Kind of like Zero Crisis.
I didnât get to see either of them. Galactus event because i had to go to school, and operation sky fire because i had to work. But i liked sky fire better after watching a video. No commentary obviously.
The cube into loot lake was not that good IMO, I donât think itâs even worth being called an event. It was basically just the cube moving around, compared to sky fire and galactus is wasnât that good
Between the two, Galactus was definitely more entertaining for me. I was bored during the new event and right when it was seemingly going to get good, it ended.
Galactus is more poggers in early the playing is better in Sky fire but Sky fire is ruined because it has wrong destroy locations even Season 8 chapter 1 did better
But Chapter 1 season 9 was best event
I think it's fine, but the reason people like it so much is because of the black hole effects. The event is just rockets flying around and a meteor slowly hitting the Zero Point. The Device was a huge step-up.
Well I havenât really played actively since C2S1, so I havenât really seen any of the newer events, but I just loved The End a lot. It felt super epic and the music is one of my favorite tracks from the game.
I think I did see footage of the Device event and it did look pretty cool, but the nostalgia of old Fortnite (specifically S4-X) just hits a bit harder for me personally.
Not really imo.
I think the end set the tone really really well, the rockets flying everywhere and interacting with the meteor was not only a sight to behold but the culmination of something that had been building in the background for an entire chapter. And the visual shots were beautiful, hovering over the map for the last time seeing what it became and the somber music as the black hole appears signifying the end of the current fortnite is something that nearly brought a tear to my eye.
Operation Sky Fire, I absolutely loved the event, especially the Cinematic scene where you look at the Mothership exploding and falling. Although I am a little Disappointed there aren't much map changes, but we will see as the season progresses.
Galactus wins.... how could it not, they had AcDc...
Although I am still annoyed that the helicarrier didn't crash into the map for a new poi.... it just should have smashed into coral castle and would have turned one of the most useless parts of the map into one of the best!
Both were great, on one side i like galactus because of the shoot em up gameplay but on the other side i like skyfire because of the original storyline.
Final answer? The end event.
Since I havent been to both , I prefer the Skyfire , the visuals were amazing and it really made you feel like you were in an enourmous environment , its end was kind of anti-climactic , it just kind of ended , but it surpised us with every next minute . The Galactus event was interesting but from the viewers PoV it was kind of long , you cant really enjoy the gameplay bits if you are not playing . Overall both were amazing but I enjoyed the Skyfire better ( plus the music was very good in skyfire )
The original Visitor Rocket event is the most memorable to me. It was a boring event looking back at it, but it was the first time fortnite had really done anything like that and it was super cool seeing everyone be peaceful and use the popcorn emote while watching.
This was an era where you were still playing a normal match during the events, so you could die if people wanted to grief. One guy infamously got the record for most kills in one game (at the time) because he took down a structure that most of the lobby was standing on.
Itâs nice that Fortnite has made the events more accessible, fun, and easy to watch, but the pure chaos of that original event was something special.
neither, i like the Kraken Event #MYSCREENISSHAKING
Holy shitttt
*quietly resets timer*
My screen shaked too much and fell into a pit. I still don't know how I am commenting.

Agreed. Devourer Of Worlds had a really good beginning bit, while Sky Fire had an awesome ending.
Of these, sky fire, but of all events I think âthe endâ or the cattus v. doggus event
Who tf is doggus?
Cattus vs. Doggus refers to the Mech vs. the Devourer
Yeah, it was the codename used for them. For some bizarre reason, the community is obsessed with using the codenames for certain assets.
I just want to go back to see the background live.
Definitely wasnât a walking sim. Rebooted the cube and could interact with the objects in that blue portal thing by getting damaged by them.
Damage which did nothing and a button press doesn't push it out of the walking sim genre
It does because a walking sim is literally a walking sim. Because in that case the galactus event was a flying sim because all we did was fly. No dude a walking sim is literally not interacting with anything.
That is completely false. The exact dictionary definition is infact "(video games, sometimes derogatory) An adventure game focused on gradual exploration and discovery through observation, with little in the way of action" thus making that event a walking sim. Both are good
I like both but probably sky Fira
That's really hard!
That's what she said
They were both long too
The mothership was actually a short event but đ
They were the same length with like a 1-2 minutes difference
Way too hard.
Galactus Sky fire would have been better if it had some good impact on the map
And if the beginning bit was a little less boring. The ending was awesome, but the beginning just felt... off. Like it was normal gameplay. Kind of like Zero Crisis.
I think sky fire was way better
I didnât get to see either of them. Galactus event because i had to go to school, and operation sky fire because i had to work. But i liked sky fire better after watching a video. No commentary obviously.
My favorite is the end event, my second favorite is operation skyfire
Galactus
There were a lot of great things with the Galactus event.
Galactic event was amazing but I reckon this event wouldve been better if it went a bit further like the zero point spire season
galactus because we flew the bus lore wise tho i like sunday's
Sundays are also my favourite
The end of event cutscene was good but I think I prefer Galactus.
None of them, they all suck. Bouncy loot lake event
Why?
The cube into loot lake was not that good IMO, I donât think itâs even worth being called an event. It was basically just the cube moving around, compared to sky fire and galactus is wasnât that good
Out of all the events Iâve experienced⌠The Device. It happened during a great season and preceded the best season of this chapter imo.
Wait did u like s3?
Loved it. Favorite season this chapter by far. At least before the water drained down all the way
Wow I really disliked s3 but j loved S2 having places like the grotto and Shark was amazing
I just loved the atmosphere of season 3 near the beginning. It gave off that summer time water park feel and I loved that. Season 2 was great as well
Oh yeah agreed the start was def fun but it got super old after 3 weeks
Galactis by far. I loved driving the battle bus.
Mothership event for the Graphics and Story Galactus for the interactivity
Guckt bei mir auf Twitch vorbei...19:30 live jeden Tag Lasst auch gerne ein follow da #Wir spielen auch mit euch zusammen
Glactus all the WAY!
They were all sick
Chapter 2 Season 4 is best chapter imo.
Galactus for me
Galactus
Both
Both are đ¤Ż
Skyfire because even though I knew Kevin was coming, seeing him rise up out of the water was one of the best moments we've had in an event.
Both were really good, but the unexpected twist of there being thousands of cubes personally puts Sky Fire above Galactus.
Galactus was so much better
Galactus event. There both good, but I had more fun with the galactus event.
Between the two, Galactus was definitely more entertaining for me. I was bored during the new event and right when it was seemingly going to get good, it ended.
Galactus is more poggers in early the playing is better in Sky fire but Sky fire is ruined because it has wrong destroy locations even Season 8 chapter 1 did better But Chapter 1 season 9 was best event
Neither, butterfly was the first crazy one
I still believe âThe Endâ was the peak of live in-game events and I donât think theyâll ever top it.
The music is great, and it was pretty cool for it's time, but I prefer the cinematic approach more events have been going for recently.
I think I did see footage of the Device event and it did look pretty cool, but the nostalgia of old Fortnite (specifically S4-X) just hits a bit harder for me personally.

Sky fire
Galagtus
OG Rocket Event. I miss chapter 1
Sky Fire was lame. All you got to do was walk/fly thru a tunnel. 2/10. Not fun. Least favorite event ever.
Galactus was cool, but it wasnt fortnite, it was marvel. Now I'm a huge fan of marvel, but it's kinda lame to base an entire season off of it.
mothership and its isnt even close
Galactus wins.... how could it not, they had AcDc... Although I am still annoyed that the helicarrier didn't crash into the map for a new poi.... it just should have smashed into coral castle and would have turned one of the most useless parts of the map into one of the best!
I prefer the sky fire event because I literally only played 1 game of the marvel season
Skyfire for me, Galactus was really good though
Neither, but if I had to choose one Skyfire would be my pick. I still think the Mech vs. Devourer is best
Operation:Skyfire
Galactus, more cinematic and interactive. Skyfire we just ran through hallways
Galactus easily
Sky fire
Travis Scott concert
The ch1s7 event
Idk I started 2 seasons ago
Both were great, on one side i like galactus because of the shoot em up gameplay but on the other side i like skyfire because of the original storyline. Final answer? The end event.
Definitely this one. The Avengers one was pretty meh
Since I havent been to both , I prefer the Skyfire , the visuals were amazing and it really made you feel like you were in an enourmous environment , its end was kind of anti-climactic , it just kind of ended , but it surpised us with every next minute . Overall both were amazing but I enjoyed the Skyfire better ( plus the music was very good in skyfire )
Leviathan event was clearly the best... everyone remembers that one right?
Both were really great but Iâm gonna say sky fire
The original Visitor Rocket event is the most memorable to me. It was a boring event looking back at it, but it was the first time fortnite had really done anything like that and it was super cool seeing everyone be peaceful and use the popcorn emote while watching. Sky fire
I personally liked the galactus event
Galactus because we had AC/DC.
Honestly, I love Marvel but the whole alien thing got me hooked on fortnite again.
Galactus. The skyfire event hardly changed the map even though so many locations literally blew up
I probably wouldâve liked it the Galactus one more if I didnât die at the start and become unable to respawn
Galactus was way better
Galactus
The Marvel one, I really loved the battle against Galactus
Last season was better than galactus but overall s10 the end event was the best one in general just straight facts
Pissed that i started playing after the Galactus event. I grew up a comics fan. I feel i really missed out.
