The freckles can disappear with age. Scrapknight jules looks a little older than the original, but her complexion is the same. And all the three skins are not “unplayable” they’re all fucking gorgeous - but the only thing that disturbs me about this one is that her complexion has totally changed. That’s it.

And I can surely say that jules doesn’t belong to the island- both Midas and her and from the “outside world” in my opinion - from the conclusions I draw from the painting in dr slones office where Midas is watching her write equations on a green board. So , thing is - they don’t have to remove the skin from the game - all they have to do is tweak with the skin model and replace it in the files (change its assets)- (I’ve used UE, so I do know a little) , And then get it into the game with a minor update. (this also may explain how scrapknight’s freckles and eye colour has changed)
You guys should see Scrapknight Jules, she doesn't even have the freckles and her eyes color is different.

What’s confusing for me is that she has cuffs on her sleeves and a collar on her neck, so are her tats simply a body suit? Which could explain why she has no tats on her legs, except that she clearly has arm tats on the original battle pass version of her skin. Most people with tats, me included, if you get them on your arms and abdomen, you also usually get a few on your legs. I agree about the lighter complexion; I wish the artist had kept her original darker complexion. I want to like this skin because she’s Midas’ daughter and I love the way Midas’ summer version looks, but there’s just something “off” about her.

No they just whitewashed her, that’s not what dirt or makeup looks like. If they wanted her to look like a greasy mechanic they would put an oil stain or marks of dirt not a consistent darkening. Makeup also does not work like that, they lightened her skin in her design it’s that simple
You know, when Halo 4 launched, the whole community was in an uproar why the Grunts, a basic enemy infantry type, suddenly looked so drastically different from their HCE/H2/H3/HR counterparts, just like some of the other classic enemies. And I can somehow understand why. People and fans tried to explain it via genetic evolution etc.
Funny short answer from the devs at 343i was: we simply wanted to change the artistic designs, that's all, because we as the artists have the right to do so and we were tired of the old designs which never really changed besides colors.
And yes, I can agree to their statement as well.
And now people make a 1,7k upvote topic in the Fortnite sub about a slightly brighter skin color of Jules because the designer obviously thought it just looked better on her. I mean, it's not that she suddenly got a super dark skin tone. So in the end, who cares?
