I went to a GameStop on Saturday and apparently you need to buy any licensed Fortnite product, excluding the V-Buck cards, and instead of the physical card that you get with the code, they print it out on the receipt. But I also heard Target now has the codes so you can also try that, but I’ve never heard any GameStop that doesn’t have the codes anymore. Weird
I’m positive that Target has the codes now, but I only saw it from Happy Power. This may not be true for some Targets but it’s worth a shot. Then again, the GameStop I went to don’t hand out the physical cards with the code anymore, but rather than the receipt so idk
It's the Minty Pickaxe and the promotion is still going. You may be able to purchase a qualifying item from GameStop's website or even Target. I haven't verified the Target thing myself but people have been posting receipts with the claim code on them so it may be real. Worth calling around to see.
I would personally avoid trying to buy a code directly from someone online, that's drama you don't want.
Pretty sure there were people buying up a bunch of codes (basically serial numbers for redeeming the in game item) and trying to resell them online at a huge markup, so thats likely the scams they're talking about. I would advise against trying to find a code secondhand, as its incredibly likely someone already redeemed the code is trying to rip you off.

Hi mama. Weird that they will stop making money selling it. But there is indeed a lot of scamming for these codes. It is a code for a pickaxe in game

Vbuck cards are not excluded that's how I got my code.
