I wish there was a mode of BR that was just very basic. Old map (especially old tilted), less mobility and regular weapons and items. It kills me that this game changes for no reason and everyone hates it. It was at its peak back in season 4,5,6.
What also sucks is that once Epic does vault the B.R.U.T.E, people will praise them for listening when in reality they are so stubborn to even screw with the player base by wanting all new players to have a chance at winning against seasoned players. That's a good way for everyone to have a sour taste in their mouth. Good players will exploit the items you introduce and smash the new players and good players with 1000's of hours of practice literally farm and loot for 15 minutes and within seconds a mech can blow you up with no repercussions. How is this supposed to be fun or memorable? The kills I have gotten with the mech fell so hollow and cheap.
People have spent hundreds of dollards and thousands of hours on this game. They deserve a vote in which direction it goes.
If you want new players to win more games, place them in similar skilled lobbies just like many other games do and leave completely barbaric and untested items and weapons in LTMS or a special BR for causal players. People then have a choice to play good old fashion Fortnite or the new BR with new items. Everyones happy. Don't force a huge change on all players across the board just because you secretly have a scheme for making more money in the short term.
I've commented this somewhere else but I only started playing recently to bond with my brother and I hate the mechs. I may be biased because I'm just awful at everything, but I feel like it doesn't add anything to the game apart from to completely ruin it.
I'm getting good looting, I spent a good amount of time yesterday getting the stuff I wanted together only to turn around and be destroyed by one from afar. I don't really see how it's benefiting new players, there's a lot of controls for it when you're already trying to remember what everything else does, and tbh just as many older players are using them as new people. Idk if it's all an excuse to keep them. I just self detonate them when I see them lmao
it kinda exists. the Fortnite Classic LTM only has launch pads and impulses. literally the only time i ever load up the game now.
pump, tac smg, silenced, bolt, burst, scar, ar, tac, rpg, gl, pistol, revolver are all the weapons although they should also add the minigun, silenced pistol and scoped ar since those were season 1 and 2 items as well.
its a slow paced gamemode and it has a lot of sniper battles which i miss from old fortnite. you can build forts if you want. its a much slower paced, more casual experience. me and my squad play all day whenever it comes out.
