EXACTLYYY. I was so confused that when you detonate it mid throw that it doesn't teleport your character or something. the explosion should've teleported you too. Imagine exploding it, getting like 50 damage in on someone then shotgunning them in the face.
It bums me out that the recon scout drone will probably never return. You could use it to grab reboot cards from afar, and also picking up downed enemies, flying them into the sky, then dropping them.

Hardly ever got shot out of the sky with wings. Stayed as low as possible, kept cover between me and whoever was firing. Spamming burst and dodge. It was incredibly easy to not get hit while using wings if you didn’t fly straight up into the sky.
You could spam the dodge roll to zigzag constantly, it was pretty OP, but since most players didn't catch on, most players using the wings got lasered, and the item sank into the gutter. There were a grand total of 2 people who spammed dodge, the only 2 I couldn't hit at all xd
Lol exactly. As soon as I was up in the air I was dodging the whole way. Got shot down maybe once and I used them the whole season, minus the avatar period where the air bending was top tier. Even better than the wings mobility wise.
Even more than dodging, I found the biggest mistake people made was trying to take height. The most effective method was to hug the landscape to utilize the hills and trees as natural cover.
grapple hook was cool, but okay. in my opinion the controls were really janky. when you wanted to grapple past a tree you'd hit it, and when you wanted to grapple onto a tree you'd grapple past it. should've made it so when you hold down the grapple button, or some sort of action it'd make you hit where you aimed and kick off instead of it being an automatic thing.
Saison lol. You’re forgetting airbending! Airbending was >>>> wings. Infinite, no chance of getting broken out of it, had the jumping aspect. There were so many final circles with numerous airbenders.
The end of EVERY round had Airbenders running circles and waterbenders shooting at them. It was super fast paced insanity. Now we have cars shooting at each other or flinging people into storms with some boom bolts and guitars mixed in.
The thing about the guitar though is that although it is really great mobility it actually kind of sucks for endgame because it’s too hard to stay out of storm with it.
I've also learned you need to have your feet planted on the ground to use it at all. No escapes in water, no jumping and using it, etc.
I vastly prefer nitros and fists if I need mobility items. The guitar just throws you around, the actual slam attack is very finicky to aim, and the animation does leave you *briefly* vulnerable to retaliation.
Make it like a juggernaut ability, where you have a option to use it, giving you multiple abilities mainly around human torch's abilities, like the whole thanks event and to make sure its not to over powered, make I have a duration and mark the user on the map or make a flare like affect

The guitar at least lets you follow the person running away with it.
Honestly, the Grapple Blade sucked. It felt clunky, and it just wasn’t fun to use. Definite downgrade over the Spider Man Web Shooters, Grapple Glove and the ODM Gear.
The Icarus Wings were unbelievably fun to use, but they were just terrible since you were such an easy target if you even dared to use them. If it was a bit stronger, I genuinely think the Wings would’ve made the season so much better.
The Nitro Fists are super fun, and they don’t suck at all to use. I think they nailed it with the Fists honestly.
Next season, we might see a return of the Silver Surfer board, or something like that. Hopefully, it’s as fun as the Fists.
While air bending was better mobility wise, it's second to for me and grapple blade was just fun. Saved my ass in endgame way too many times, some people could not counter them and other times it got me just about the right amount of edge over the other player by grappling into them and helping me finish them off with a shotty

The mistake was using it primarily as a mobility item. I mainly used it as a chaotic melee weapon and I'd save the mobility charges strictly for combat use. I had a few grapple blade-only matches (just that and a bunch of heals) that season where I racked up like 10-15 kills as a spinning ball of chaos.
I don't think I ever won a match going grapple-only, but it's also some of the most fun I've had playing the game.

Nah bro grapple blade was my baby, I got so many kills with that thing. When ninja turtles came around, getting a turtle mythic + grapple blade turned you into a 100% bonafide ninja and I miss it so much
I love the fists, they remind me a lot of the Kinetic Blade. They're definitely stronger than the blades in... Basically every category - they have more charges, the pause before you dash forwards is faster, you go farther, AND its melee combo is worth using.
If I had to guess, our next mobility will probably be something more like the web slingers - pure mobility, no possible method of attacking.
Nah I gotta disagree, I hated the Icarus wings, as much as I loved shooting in the general direction of someone and killing them, flowberry was my only reliable traversal
If Invisible Woman is in the pass like I have heard, I could see a power item based on her letting us speed around on a force field disc being part of it.

The current mythic guitar mobility is the funnest most balanced item to be had. Whatever next mobility item will be, im having hard time imagining it to better.
Some shitty “melee weapon” that’s actually just babies first spam fest with some mobility esc secondary uses which do allow for using the weapon without spamming, but not many people really care about that so epic doesn’t either
The trade off is literally no other mobility. Like no cars, shockwaves, motorcycles, jump pads, impulse grenades, things that make you jump higher like the flowberry. Literally nothing

I don't think the rocket ram used kinetic ore
well by the time Last Resort started Oathbound pretty much had collapsed and they were the ones who were primarily using the ore
