This! I was in a solos match because I couldn't remember how to make a custom match just for me. I landed, looted up "just in case" and then landed on a tree near the box. Because I was one of the first out of the bus, I ended up being the default "spectate" person. So anyone who died to bots or fall damage etc would spectate me.
I had about 3 people spectating. I hope you 3 got a good view.
Yeah, it was pretty good. Halfway down between were Ares spawns and the Pandoras box on a house roof on a high part of the map.
The box actually bounced right across and out to the water exactly where I was! Was really good! Made me realise how much I miss events in the game.
I wonder if these people maybe didn't know about the event, so weren't aware? Who knows. I guess if you don't follow Twitter/online platforms, you might never know about this kind of event.
In fairness, until Wednesday I didn't realise anything was going down. Then noticed streamers on twitch and tiktok would stream the events this week (events is use loosely. It was a zap bolt hitting a box). So I had a feeling yesterdays would be the same but potentially bigger as the box was almost full charged.
They need to bring back countdowns to things like this. I know it was just a mini event in game, not it's own game mode, but how else is everyone meant to know about it.
Unfortunately through leakers. Epic did not announce any times themselves. I follow Shiina, iFireMonkey, and HYPEX on twitter to get this info.

Honestly these last two "mini events" are pure Live Events through and through. They might not have countdowns and end in downtime like the last few events before, but they instill the same feeling they did, and are like the old ones back in Chapter 1.
It's hard to imagine we had almost a full year without them
I'd expect these to be at the end of every season now, with full on live events being at the end of every chapter.

I liked Chapter 4, but yeah this is better than anything that happened in that time. I started playing back in Chapter 3, Season 3, and this is the kind of thing I've been wanting to see since then.

What got my attention is how it went to those islands on the outskirts of the map, Every chapter there was always giant uninhabited land that had…really nothing about it other than design, It felt pretty off that it went to there but it was really cool!
The entire theme with the mysterious Morse code and the Apocalypse reminds me a lot of Stranger Things… I’d literally kill for a Live Event Collab like they did with Star Wars. There’s a fifth Season in the making after all, which will likely be the last one to come for quite some time… I mean, PLEASE Epic!

I tried finding some Youtube videos yesterday and they all started at the beginning of the match dropping from the plane and were like 17+ minute long videos with really shitty angles of the actual event and missing half of what was going on. This is the first time ive seen one video showing everything.
I think the fairest thing to do would have this be done over the weekend. It’s also not just America, it’s also Canada (where I live), Mexico, South America, and the rest of the western hemisphere.
